Doesn't provide a Bait And Switch and character reaction for the last.

* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome:
** Derek Powers ousting the Foxs from Wayne Enterprises following his takeover 20 years ago. It is completely realistic that there would have been layoffs following the merger -- and that Derek would be intent on ousting the Foxs in particular to consolidate corporate power and because of their longstanding ties and loyalty to Bruce. Powers even mockingly compares it in-story to the old guard making way for the new guard.
** Terry and Bruce switching over to a new flying Batmobile. While Bruce's fleet of vehicles have always been cutting edge, they're now 20 years behind the times (especially with the advent of hovercrafts). Likewise, while the old Batwing and Batmobile ''were'' mothballed in the Cave (as seen in the Pilot), it's very unlikely Bruce was maintaining them (as he'd retired and had no intention of training a successor). Between the obsolete technologies and deterioration, it'd be more cost-effective to just bring a new Batmobile online rather than refitting the older vehicles.
** With a new Batman in town, Barbara Gordon, having worked with the original and known him very well, figures out Bruce has picked out “a new kid” to carry on his crusade.
