''Black Hole Rising'' has Sturm employing Flak, Lash, Adder and Hawke (with Hawke being TheDragon) and ''Dual Strike'' has Von Bolt employing Jugger, Koal and Kindle, with Lash and Hawke returning from the former game (Kindle is TheDragon this time around). And they are ''very'' quirky. In ''Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict'' there are two 'evil' sides and each of them are too small to truly count one of these as part of their number.

* In ''VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters'', you have the [[MeaningfulName Four Heavenly Kings]] of the [[QuirkyMinibossSquad Hakkesshu]], headed by Leopold Goenitz, TheDragon to [[BigBad Orochi]]. Subverted with [[PsychoForHire Ryuji Yamasaki]], in that he is a member of the Hakkesshu, but couldn't care less about Orochi.

** The Axem Rangers of ''VideoGame/SuperMarioRPG'', who are a ThePsychoRangers parody of ''Franchise/PowerRangers''/''Franchise/SuperSentai''.

** ''[[VideoGame/PokemonRedAndBlue Pokémon Yellow]]'' features Jessie and James from [[Anime/{{Pokemon}} the anime series]].

** Its sequel ''Guardian Signs'' has the Pokemon Pincher Admin Trio. Two members play the trope straight, the other [[spoiler: [[DragonAscendant actually]] [[TheStarscream becomes]] the real BigBad of the game.]]

* ''VideoGame/BraveFencerMusashi'' had the Leader's Force, consisting of Ben, Ed, and Topo. They constantly fought amidst themselves over who was the leader of the three.

** Special Forces Group FOXHOUND in ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolid'', comprised of [[GatlingGood Vulcan]] [[MagicalNativeAmerican Raven]], [[PsychicPowers Psycho]] [[BreakingTheFourthWall Mantis]], [[ColdSniper Sniper Wolf]], [[MasterOfDisguise Decoy Octopus]], [[RevolversAreJustBetter Revolver]] [[ChronicBackstabbingDisorder Ocelot]], and led by [[EvilBrit Liquid]] [[CloningBlues Snake]].

** The Moonshine Mob is massive, with its chief members being their small snail boss, a spider, a lightbug, and an anteater. They're more of a [[TheFamilyForTheWholeFamily kooky type of mafia]], thus less tough than some fights.

** The SKULLS Parasite Unit in ''VideoGame/MetalGearSolidVThePhantomPain'', which is actually three Squads in one: [[FlashStep the Mist]] [[SuperStrength Unit]], [[AmazonBrigade the Camo]] [[ColdSniper Unit]], and [[InstantArmor the Armor]] [[DishingOutDirt Unit]]. Former members are [[FriendlySniper Qui]][[HeelFaceTurn et]].

* ''VideoGame/SonicTheHedgehog'':

*** The first two games had the Four Guardians, who each lead a specific section of the Neo Arcadian military. Harpuia leads the airborne division, Fefnir the ground troops, Leviathan the navy, and Phantom the stealth units and intelligence division. And they have [[{{Expy}} expies]] in the four enemy [=MegaMen=] in the SequelSeries, ''VideoGame/MegaManZX'' (specifically, ''Advent''). Unfortunately, by ''Zero 3'' Phantom is dead and the remaining three find themselves stripped of their positions to make way for...
