** Even worse the original game. See, it's implied the members of your clan at least had lives before the curse and gave their consent to be resurrected, knowing the curse is in effect for them and their descendants. In the PS1 game...the curse was laid on a BABY, barely a couple of weeks old at that. Matters are made worse as the gods in order to give them even the slightest advantage, make them have a child the moment they are able to divine union so they won't have to fight by themselves.

* The state your clan is in. Everyone born of the clan is doomed to only live two or so years, leaving them with extremely brief childhoods, and livelihoods.
* If a clan member runs away, sometime after they would have died, an evil spirit of them can appear in a dungeon and attack you. That's right, the clan member resents you so much, that they consider you their UnfinishedBusiness

** Also, from the intro. Nueko's ritual consists of using her life force to revive the others. Not that bad unless you figured out that it means the clan has to '''eat her alive'''.

* The intro can be quite upsetting, with an entire clan being put to death while a divine being narrates the whole thing, [[JerkassGods obviously having a lot of fun with the show]]. Afterwards, said God goes to speak with the skulls of the deceased to offer them a spot of revenge: this prospect gets them excited and they begin [[TheDeadCanDance jumping and pirouetting]] and clattering their teeth, with red flares in their eye sockets.
