* ComicBookTime: The series starts off near the beginning of Hinata's first year in high school, and time passes reasonably normally as she and the majority of the main cast move on to their second year. However, from that point on, the progression of time becomes weird. Months and dates continue to come and go, ''but the year remains the same''. Due to the "timeline" being looped around that same year, they repeatedly become second years in high school[[note]]thrice so far[[/note]]. Which is a fact the comic ''proudly'' lampshades without hesitation.

Which is a fact the comic ''proudly'' lampshades without hesitation. [[spoiler: And then the final chapter manages to make a hilarious subversion of this by having En suddenly claim in a panel that they've been pretending that time has been looped the entire time and have just been repeating in school. No real effort has been made to establish whether or not this is actually true or not.]]

The word I removed in that carries a rather unfortunate implication, especially in light of recent in-story developments. Simply put, pointing out that aspect of Taiyou\'s first relationship is not necessary when it has nothing to do with the trope or why the brevity of it was sad in the first place.Instead, it just makes it sound like bitterness over who he (tentatively) ends up with afterwards.

* YankTheDogsChain: Can't let Taiyou enjoy a fulfilling heterosexual relationship for long. Really comes across as a TearJerker.

Added DiffLines:

** Komachi likes to laugh at Hinata for her romantic troubles with En (like not being able to ''kiss''). When the tables are turned about the former's relationship with Kojirou (like how she turns into a SupremeChef), she's quick to develop a LuminescentBlush and get violent.

* DoesNotLikeMen: En is a male example of this. The only men he doesn't snap at are his family family, Hinata's male relatives (as a result of being 'weak' to the Saotome genes) and his only male friend Naota. He later friends Naota and Kojirou. A long time after Kojirou and Taiyou reach high school he makes another exception for Kojirou.[[spoiler: Hinata's former crush]]. He's developed such an aversion to the male population in general that he [[spoiler: coughs up blood when he touches one he doesn't like]].
