* ArtEvolution: ''Redrop!'''s art style is drawn with softer colors and gives its characters more detail, carrying over from the designs seen in the anime. Daichi's hair is also made more distinctive than his original hair in the anime and oneshot.

Originally written as a oneshot after ''Manga/PopTeamEpic''[='=]s first season of strips, ''Hoshiiro Girldrop'' (星色ガールドロップ) is Bkub Okawa's send-up to idols, romcoms, and especially [[BreadEggsBreadedEggs idol-based romcoms]], packed with [[{{Troperiffic}} as many tropes as he could possibly fit in]]. The series was made a regular gag in ''Pop Team Epic'' announcements after its publishing. It even got the honor of being the gag for the series' anime announcement on April Fools 2017, complete with animated trailer and theme song done by none other than Creator/KamikazeDouga. Despite its joke status in the latter series, it would go on to be sort of expanded on as a regular segment, with an animated version of the original oneshot serving as the first ColdOpening and later functioning as the show's OnTheNext segments. In February 2018, it was fully turned into an AnthologyComic by Bkub and other artists, letting the audience for the first time see what the manga ([[DependingOnTheWriter probably]]) would have been like.

* MythologyGag: The anime's opening includes a brief shot of Sosogu frantically pointing to herself like the second-to-last strip in the oneshot, even though the relevant gag the pose came from was cut.

* CreativeDifferences: [[invoked]] One clip in the anime shows the group about to break up due to a difference in the direction they want to take when Sosogu wants to do a show with their rivals Devil Volcano. Without her bandmates with her, Sosogu's vote of ballad is up against two votes for metalcore from the Devil Volcano girls.
