** Remus Lupin has a double-barreled themed name, as Remus is a mythical founder of Rome who was nursed by a female wolf, and a lupin is a flower the name of which means "wolfish". Moreover, Remus' parents may have themed names as well: the name of his father Lyall may come from an Old Norse personal name ''Liulfr'', which contains the element ''úlfr'' 'wolf'; and his mother's maiden name is Howell, which sounds very similar to "howl".
