In one chapter, Kiyohime is trying out a slip-n-slide with a ramp, and gets launched into the air, landing, eventually in a tree. Marco, Tobias and Ax go sliding down several stories worth of staircase bannister in cockroach form on their bellies at warp speed. When they get off, they exult in how ''awesome'' it was... just before agreeing to '''never, ever''' do that again. In general, [[DeadpanSnarker Marco]] is fond of saying things like this.

* In ''[[Literature/NewJediOrder Rebel Strike]]'', the Wraiths and three Jedi have to infiltrate Coruscant by sort of parasailing down into the atmosphere, in things which aren't even big enough to be called drop capsules. On the way down, Luke controls nervousness, confers with his wife, and monitors the emotional state of the third, younger Jedi, Tahiri. He worries that he'll have to comfort her when they're down; it's bad enough for him, how much worse for her? Of course, when they do land she's absolutely thrilled, saying that she wants to do it again.
* Icecarls in ''Literature/TheSeventhTower'' enjoy joking about going back and facing dangerous circumstances again. They're so deadpan about it that Tal freaks out, until Milla doubles over laughing at his expression.

They finally find a kiddie train ride called the "Chew Chew Train" that only goes forward, which Albert agrees might be good for him. Both, however, unwittingly end up in the line for the "Tail Twister," which happens to be right next to the line for the Chew Chew Train, and which is the biggest roller coaster in the park. After the ride, which takes them ''forward'', ''up'', ''down'', ''left'', ''right'', ''around'' and ''through'', Wanda says that she was too terrified to squeak, but as for Albert...

* Used in the ninth season of ''Series/StargateSG1''. After the team has posed as drug dealers, been captured by drug dealers, got beaten up, captured by the Lucian Alliance, etc, they finally get back to Earth.

* ''Series/MalcolmInTheMiddle'': In the episode "[[Recap/MalcolmInTheMiddleS2E01TrafficJam Traffic Jam]]," after Hal feels guilty for somehow causing a crash between a big-rig and a sports car, Reese battling a covetous ice-ream vendor and losing the captured ice-cream to vicious dog Lois unwittingly set loose, [[TheReasonYouSuckSpeech Lois getting chewed out by a cop]] for being a ControlFreak, and Malcolm who just spent a memorable day with a girl he will never talk with or see ever again, all get back to the minivan defeated and get going once the [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin traffic jam]] is cleared. Malcolm, who just remembered the girl's words about enjoying all the little moments in life, no matter how small they are, excitedly proclaims that it's the best family trip he's ever been on, and can't wait to do it again, while the others just scoff and roll their eyes.
