* ''WesternAnimation/ChalkZone'' had two. The first one (which was used for the first two seasons) included clips from most of the original ''WesternAnimaton/OhYeahCartoons'' shorts (which were included in the first season): "[=ChalkZone=]" (which was retitled "Rudy's First Adventure" and written as a WholeEpisodeFlashback in the show), "The Amazin' River" (which was retitled "French Fry Falls" and also written as a Whole Episode Flashback), "Rudy's Date", "Snap Out Of Water", "Chalk Rain" (which was not repackaged as an episode of the show), "Secret Passages", and "Rapunzel". The only parts of the theme song not part of an episode were clips of Snap, Penny, and Reggie saying, "Rudy's got the chalk!".

* While the first dub opening of ''Anime/DigimonAdventure'' just took the original Japanese opening and cut and rearranged some shots, the second dub opening mixed clips from the Japanese intro with clips from some of the episodes from the arc where the opening switch happened, plus one clip from the second Japanese ending credits. The dubs of ''Anime/DigimonAdventure02'', ''Anime/DigimonTamers'', ''Anime/DigimonDataSquad'', and ''Anime/DigimonFusion'' (which had two intros for the two arcs that were dubbed) followed suit with mixing the original intros with episode clips. The only outlier is ''Anime/DigimonFrontier'', which included some clips from the Japanese opening, but derived most of the clips from the first Japanese end credits.

** DIC's earlier shows, and some later ones (''WesternAnimation/SonicUnderground'', ''WesternAnimation/SabrinaTheAnimatedSeries'', ''Mary-Kate & Ashley in Action!'', Series 4 of ''Strawberry Shortcake'' and Series 1 of ''Sushi Pack'') averted this trope, instead going for entirely original footage. ''Sonic Underground'' did, however, use a montage of clips from the show during its ''closing'' credits.
