* A rare villainous example in ''WesternAnimation/TheIncredibles'': Syndrome, despite seeing Mr. Incredible as a severe BrokenPedestal (this being what fueled Syndrome's descent into villainy), still has a fanboy moment over Mr. Incredible tricking Syndrome's life-sign scanner by hiding behind Gazerbeam's corpse.

* In ''WesternAnimation/KungFuPanda'', Shifu's pretty unyielding when you first meet him... but even ''he'' can't help himself when one of his idols visits town. At one point, desperate to earn the admiration of a reclusive master who traveled via box, Shifu accidentally set him loose when it turned out the guy ''really'' didn't get out much and was thrilled to be out of the box. He'll even pen letters asking what a legendary warrior looks for in a bestie [[SincerityMode (and yes, that's the actual word he used)]]. And when he tries to make sure Po doesn't visit the local action figure convention, [[BlatantLies claiming his Dragon Warrior responsibilities forbid it,]] it's only because [[spoiler:''he'' likes to go there too and doesn't want to be seen by anyone he knows]]. When finally forced to 'fess up, [[spoiler:his admission is priceless]].

* Tyrese Gibson, during a convention appearance shortly before the release of the ''Film/{{Transformers}}'' live-action movie, admitted to Creator/PeterCullen that he'd never had a dad growing up, but he ''did'' have Optimus Prime.

* After he returned from E3 2017, [[LetsPlay/YoVideogames Maximilian Dood]] told his livestream that FightingGame legends like Akira Nishitani[[note]]the designer behind ''VideoGame/StreetFighter2'' and ''VideoGame/FinalFight''[[/note]] and Katsuhiro Harada[[note]]the chief producer of the ''VideoGame/{{Tekken}}'' series[[/note]] came up to him to say they were fans of his work and appreciated everything he'd done to promote interest in fighting games, which utterly stunned him because he owed so much of his life to the work they'd done. He also mentioned that FGC legend Daigo Umehara asked for a picture with him, and when he looked the picture up online later was amused to discover that Daigo had referred to him as "Max-sempai".

* On an episode of ''Series/{{Castle}}'', the normally hard-nosed Detective Kate Beckett can hardly contain herself when she meets Joe Torre (formerly of the New York Mets), even gushing, "That was Joe freakin' Torre!" after he leaves. She immediately goes to call her father to tell him.

* In ''ComicBook/SonicTheHedgehogArchieComics''' "Mobius: X Years Later" continuity, Argyle, Vector the Crocodile's son, is a major fanboy of Sonic, squeeing madly when the Blue Blur spouted out his {{Catchphrase}} "Let's Do It To It!" when mobilizing the emerging Future Freedom Fighters.

** [[ComicBook/Robin1993 Tim Drake]] (Robin III/ComicBook/RedRobin III) was more-or-less an ascended Batman fanboy. An amateur detective, he deduced the secret identities of Batman and the first Robin. Following Robin II Jason Todd's death and Nightwing's refusal to play sidekick to Bruce again, Tim forced Batman to make him Robin, believing Batman needed a sidekick to keep him stable. His own series proves him a fan of ComicBook/BlackCanary and ComicBook/{{Wildcat}} whose autograph he is eager to get. A later issue of ''ComicBook/BirdsOfPrey'' showed that Tim was also a huge fan of (the second) ComicBook/BlueBeetle.

* The new [[ComicBook/MsMarvel2014 Ms. Marvel]], Kamala Khan, is beside herself with glee, going into doge speak, squeeing, and half incoherent blabbering about her fanfic featuring him (in this order), when she first meets Wolverine (who is less than impressed by this). When she gets saved by Spider-Man, she squees over being in a Spidey team-up, and tells Spidey she ships him and ComicBook/CarolDanvers, her predecessor as ComicBook/MsMarvel. And when she met Carol Danvers... oh gosh. Reached its peak when she was asked to join the Avengers, although she did have a minor moment afterwards when she met the original Nova shortly after his resurrection (although she notes that [[FandomNod some of his online fans put even her to shame in this department]]).

* ''Franchise/{{Batman}}'':

* Spidey regarded Franchise/{{Batman}} like this (in a more dignified way) in the first ''Batman/Spider-Man'' inter-company crossover, calling him "a legend"; in fact, when Batman told him to leave Gotham and let him handle Joker and Carnage himself, Spidey was seriously considering doing so, only deciding to stay when Batman changed his mind.

* In ''ComicBook/BoosterGold'', time travellers had got Sinestro to come to Earth ahead of schedule, so that he would meet [[Franchise/GreenLantern Guy Gardner]] and cause disaster, by telling him that he would no longer be the greatest of the Green Lanterns. Booster had to stop him. After a brief attempt at fighting, Booster tries, "[[ImYourBiggestFan But I'm your greatest fan]]!" He gushes over him, tells him that he knows in his heart he can never be replaced and convinces him that it was a plot by his enemies to find out what he feared. This meeting would go on to have a notable consequence: Sinestro asks Booster what Corps he belongs to, leading him [[LineOfSightName to make up the name]] "[[ChekhovsGun Sinestro Corps]]" on the spot. This gets Sinestro thinking...

** In ''Avengers Classic'' #11, Cap does a SherlockScan of Franchise/SpiderMan, and they get their first good talk.

* When the Franchise/JusticeLeagueOfAmerica came down on ComicBook/YoungJustice, Arrowette's first reaction was stunned surprise that the ''Justice League'' concerned themselves with ''them''. (Making it all the more dramatic when she slowly realized that they were being unjust, complaining that the young superheroes were acting young, and then turned on them, [[Awesome/YoungJustice2010 telling them off in a manner that reduced them to stunned silence]]. * Overdrive in ''ComicBook/SpiderMan'' is a supervillain who fanboys over the heroes. In his first appearance, he tries to get Spidey to sign an autograph ''while they're fighting''. He has a similar reaction to ComicBook/LukeCage in ''ComicBook/TheSuperiorFoesOfSpiderMan''. His backstory reveals that he grew up as a big fan of superheroes (Spidey in particular) and only agreed to work for Mr. Negative so that he could build up his rep and impress the Avengers when he eventually defects.

* ''Franchise/{{Superman}}'':

** In the same story, Superman sees Golden Age heroes ComicBook/DoctorFate, Dr. Mid-Nite, ComicBook/TheSpectre, and [[Franchise/TheFlash Jay Garrick]] through a skylight and spends about a page fanboying to himself and wondering if he'll really ruin the timeline that badly if he just pops in for a moment to meet them.

* In one ''Franchise/{{Batman}}'' short story, "Fat Tuesday", a man wears a Batman costume to Mardi Gras, because Batman is his hero. He is kidnapped by a local gangster, but the real Batman saves him. The real Batman was dressed up as ''his'' hero, Franchise/{{Zorro}}. Which is a bit of {{lampshad|eHanging}}ing as Zorro is basically what Batman was based on.

* ''Series/Supergirl2015'': Part dorkiness, part hero worship of her [[Franchise/{{Superman}} cousin]], Supergirl tends to get ''really'' excited meeting other superpowered heroes.

** ComicBook/BlueBeetle spends most of his time in awe of Franchise/{{Batman}}. He's also fanboyed over previous ComicBook/BlueBeetle Ted Kord and [[ComicBook/{{Aquaman}} AQUAMAN]].

* The ''[[WesternAnimation/LegionOfSuperHeroes Legion of Super-Heroes]]'' over [[Franchise/{{Superman}} Clark Kent]] in the animated series. With Brainiac 5, it never stopped, and we had scenes of [[UnwinnableTrainingSimulation Danger Room-like sessions]] with Brainy heroically stopping the bad guys, being fatally wounded, and [[DiedInYourArmsTonight dying in the arms of Superman.]]

** ''Film/StarTrekVTheFinalFrontier'': Kirk is amazed and dismayed that General Korr himself was ReassignedToAntarctica.
