* Manga/RosarioPlusVampire: Moka Akashiya is frequently shown walking around in the sun to no ill effect. WordOfGod initially Hand Waves this by claiming that Moka simply protects herself from the sun by wearing long-sleeved clothes, but then again, Moka is also shown on more than one occasion frolicking at the beach in a bikini in broad daylight.

* Series/2023: Vampires can go about in daylight, but they don't like it, as it weakens them and it increases their need for human blood, which usually they consume only sparingly. They tend to wear large hats in the daytime.

* 19th century vampires were not hurt by sunlight. It is implied that they are stronger during the night, however. Literature/Dracula, for example, was not harmed by sunlight, but lost his powers such as SuperStrength and shapeshifting between sunrise and sunset (except at high noon), and usually can't move.

* Like Slayer above, the same can also be said of Rachel Alucard in the Franchise/BlazBlue series. Of course, it's probably unknown whether or not this is also true of her father Clavis.

* Series/TheTwilightZone1985: In "Monsters!", the vampire Emile Francis Benedictson can spend as much time in the sunlight as any human. He tells Toby Michaels that, contrary to how they are depicted in monster movies, vampires are immune to the effects of UsefulNotes/TheSun.

* In Literature/TheDanilovQuintet, Zmyeevich, an elder vampire, can walk around in the daytime. It weakens him and makes him look elderly. It enables him to manipulate humans "in the know" because they "know" anyone they talk to at noon can't possibly be a vampire.

Sometimes a series may give a nod to this, or invent a "rational" explanation why some vampires can tolerate daylight and others can't. It can be as simple as the fact that the vampire is just so old or so powerful (or even both) that such weaknesses doesn't hurt them anymore.
