* The Browns: James (no relation to "Mr. Dynamite" Music/JamesBrown), Maxine, and Bonnie (brother, two sisters) were a country trio from 1955 to 1967.

* Music/TheIsleyBrothers originally consisted of O'Kelly Isley Jr., Rudolph Isley, and Ronald Isley, adding their brother Vernon later on. After his death, they added brothers Ernie and Marvin and brother-in-law Chris Jasper.

* The Walker Brothers were [[Music/ScottWalker Scott Engel]], John Maus and Gary Leeds, who all took the last name "Walker" as stage names.

* Two members are married -- but divorce

* The Beatles song Ob‐La‐Di, Ob‐La‐Da Music/The White Album, centers around a family developed around this trope.

* Music/TheCramps were founded and maintained by husband-and-wife duo Lux Interior and Poison Ivy.
* {{Music/Soulwax}} was started by two brothers and grew to include friends of both.
* Music/VanHalen. Which included the brothers Eddie and Alex Van Halen, Eddie's son Wolfgang, and a few others (namely Music/DavidLeeRoth, Sammy Hagar, and Wolfie's predecessor Michael Anthony). Their father Jan also played clavinet on "Big Bad Bill (Is Sweet William Now)" on ''Diver Down.''
* Music/{{Oasis}}: Noel and Liam Gallagher are brothers -- [[SiblingRivalry and brotherly love is nowhere to be found.]]
* Music/{{Sparks}}: Russell and Ron Mael are brothers.
* Music/TheBeachBoys had the three Wilson brothers (Music/{{Brian|Wilson}}, Music/{{Carl|Wilson}}, and Music/{{Dennis|Wilson}}) and their cousin Music/MikeLove playing in the band.
* Andy Creeggan -- ThePeteBest of Music/BarenakedLadies -- is the brother of bassist Jim Creeggan. They have a side project known as ''The Brothers Creeggan.''
* Music/NoDoubt had Music/GwenStefani and her brother Eric, who left the band after ''Tragic Kingdom'' was recorded.
* Music/LedZeppelin: The band split after John Bonham died. During the 2007 reunion, Jason Bonham (John's son) took his father's spot.
* Music/{{ABBA}} were two married couples. The couples divorced, and the group disintegrated before reuniting decades later.
* Music/GoodCharlotte has twins Benji and Joel Madden.
* Music/MyChemicalRomance has brothers Gerard and Mikey Way.
* Music/EarthWindAndFire had brothers Maurice and Verdine White until Maurice passed away. Their brother Freddie White also joined later on. More recently, singer Philip Bailey was joined by his son, Philip Bailey Jr.
* Music/TheB52s had siblings Ricky and Cindy Wilson until Ricky died of AIDS in 1985.
* Music/ArcadeFire has Win Butler and Regine Chassagne, who are married, as well as Win's brother Will.

** George (brother of Malcolm and Angus) was the bassist for a short period of time and is most famous for being the rhythm guitarist of The Easybeats.
*** More notably, George served as producer on many of the band's records, especially their early ones.
** Stevie Young (the son of Malcolm, Angus, and George's brother [[AncestralName Stephen]]) filled in while Malcolm dealt with alcohol dependency (because they looked so alike, not many fans were aware there was a switch). When Malcolm retired in 2014 due to dementia (he died in 2017), Stevie was named his full-time replacement.
* Music/TheMamasAndThePapas included husband and wife John and Michelle Phillips.
** Their daughter's band Wilson Phillips is also an example, but not because of Chynna Phillips. Carnie and Wendy Wilson are sisters (their father being himself from a [[Music/TheBeachBoys band of siblings]], Music/BrianWilson).
* Eisley is the Dupree sisters, plus their cousin and a friend.
* Music/FiveIronFrenzy: Micah Ortega and Leanor Ortega are cousins.
* Music/TheIrishRovers had brothers George and Will Millar and their cousin Joe Millar. George is now the last Millar in the band.
* Music/NewKidsOnTheBlock '''very''' briefly had two brother pairs: Aside from Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Creator/MarkWahlberg was in it for about 5 minutes along with brother Creator/{{Donnie|Wahlberg}}.
* Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul of Music/{{Pantera}} were brothers and stuck together. Darrell was once offered to join Music/{{Megadeth}} but turned down the offer when his brother could not join as drummer (the role of drummer is filled in by Nick Menza). Likewise, Vinnie Paul insisted that with Darrell dead, so too should be Pantera.
* Music/TheJesusAndMaryChain: Jim and William Reid, the band's two constant members, are brothers. Later, they went on to be heavily involved in...
* ''Sister Vanilla:'' A group which features their little sister, Linda, and occasionally the brothers themselves.
* Music/PaulMcCartney and his wife Linda were in Music/{{Wings}}.
* Music/JohnLennon and Music/YokoOno were in The Plastic Ono Band. And so, at one point, was their son Sean Lennon.
* bôa, the British rock band best known for providing the theme song for ''Anime/SerialExperimentsLain'', has Steve and Jasmine Rodgers, who are brother and sister.
* Music/TheChicks (originally Dixie Chicks): sisters Emily Robison and Martie Maguire; they've also recorded as a type 2 duo, the Court Yard Hounds.

* Music/{{Heart|Band}}: sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. At the start, the band also had the Fisher Brothers, Roger and Mike. Fifth band member Steve Fossen wasn't related to anybody. [[note]]Everything was great while the Fisher brothers were dating the Wilson sisters. Steve presumably took his fifth wheel status philosophically. And then there were marital rifts...[[/note]]
* Music/TheKinks: Ray and Dave Davies. They [[SiblingRivalry did not get along well]].
* Canadian OneHitWonder Len (known for their song "Steal My Sunshine") had the brother-sister duo of Sharon and Marc Costanzo as co-lead vocalists. Eventually transitioned to a Type 2 when everyone but the Costanzo siblings left the band for other projects (most notably Brendan Canning, who left to found Music/BrokenSocialScene).
* Music/SplitEnz had brothers Neil and Tim Finn, as did Music/CrowdedHouse - although Tim was only in the band for a year. Neil's sons Liam and Elroy have since joined Crowded House as full-time members, and Tim's son Harper is also a touring member.
* Music/AceOfBase: Jonas Berggren was the brother of Malin "Linn" Berggren and Jenny Berggren. Subverted now that he's the last Berggren in the band.
* Music/{{Radiohead}}: Colin and Jonny Greenwood (bass and lead guitar, respectively) are brothers.
* {{Music/Suede}}: Simon Gilbert (drummer) and Neil Codling (keyboardist) are cousins.
* Spacehog's Royston and Antony Langdon are brothers.
* Music/TheBlackCrowes have brothers Chris and Rich Robinson. In 2001, The Black Crowes actually toured with the already mentioned Oasis and Spacehog, in what was known as The Tour of Brotherly Love. The tour name was meant to be ironic, as all three sets of brothers weren't exactly known to get along.
* Briefly, The Music/FlamingLips: Their original lineup had Wayne Coyne on guitar and his brother Mark on vocals. Mark Coyne left the band after their first EP, so Wayne took over singing duties.
* Music/{{INXS}} has lead guitarist Tim Farriss, keyboardist Andrew Farriss, and drummer Jon Farriss. In fact, the band's original name was the Farriss Brothers. Many don't know this, probably because Michael Hutchence wasn't one of them.
* Music/WuTangClan:
** RZA, GZA and Ol' Dirty Bastard were cousins. Method Man and Raekwon are also cousins.
*** The familial connections expand for more cousins, children, siblings, and adopted relatives with the second and third generation Wu members and affiliates.
* Charlie Benante (drums) and Frank Bello (bass) of Music/{{Anthrax}} are uncle and nephew.

* Music/CreedenceClearwaterRevival, with brothers John and Tom Fogerty (lead vocals/guitar, and backing vocals/rhythm guitar, respectively). [[SiblingRivalry They ended up hating being in a band together]], and Tom's departure from the band caused bad blood that was only starting to be patched up when Tom died 19 years later. As John put it in his eulogy for Tom, "We wanted to grow up and be musicians. I guess we achieved half of that, becoming rock 'n roll stars. We didn't necessarily grow up."
* ''Music/DanielsonFamile'' consists of Daniel Smith, his brothers and sisters, and some friends (including Music/SufjanStevens) who are [[TrueCompanions close enough they may as well be family, too]].
* {{Music/Devo}} had two sets of brothers at one point - two Casale brothers and three Mothersbaughs. Currently, it's two of each. Then Bob Casale died.
* Music/GentleGiant. During 1970-72, Phil, Derek and Ray Shulman made up the core of the band. That is until Phil left to be with his family at home.
* The eight members of Music/LosCampesinos all [[ThemeNaming share the pseudonymous last name "Campesinos"]] but only lead singer/songwriter Gareth and keyboardist/flautist Kim are related - they're brother and sister.
** Kim and Gareth also count as a subversion: Kim replaced the band's original lead female singer, Aleksandra, in late 2009.
* Music/VerucaSalt's initial lineup included Nina Gordon on guitar and her brother Jim Shapiro on drums.
* Japanese pop-punk band Music/ShonenKnife was founded by sisters Naoko and Atsuko Yamano with their friend Michie Nakatani. Atsuko and Michie left the band, but Atsuko rejoined years later, moving from drums to bass.
* The band Music/MegAndDia was founded by sisters Meg and Dia Frampton.
* The Meat Puppets' Curt and Cris Kirkwood. Curt pulled an IAmTheBand for a few years without his brother (or original drummer Derrick Bostrom), but from 2006 on both brothers have been in the band again. Curt's son Elmo joined the band as a touring guitarist in 2011 and was promoted to the main group in 2018.

* Music/BobMarley and Bunny Wailer of The Wailers were stepbrothers who lived together since childhood. Bob's mother married Bunny's father, and they had a daughter named Pearl, which made Bob and Bunny closer. Bob never knew his father (who was in the British navy), and Bunny's mother had left years before, so they were glad to have each others' company. After Bob's death, Bunny was never quite the same. He has put out many tribute albums of Bob covers.
* Music/LimpBizkit features bassist Sam Rivers and drummer John Otto, who are cousins.
* Glen Drover (guitarist) and Shawn Drover (drummer), both formerly of Music/{{Megadeth}} and before that Eidolon. They had been making music together since they were kids.

** Also from Brazil, once Ira! reformed in 2014, guitarist Edgard Scandurra put his son Daniel as bassist.
* Mexican band Maná started with three brothers in the group, Juan, Ulises, and Abraham Calleros. The first is still a member, and the second is the band manager.
* The original lineup of Music/{{Jellyfish}} included brothers Roger (keyboards/backing vocals) and Chris (bass, backing vocals) Manning. However, Chris only joined after their debut ''Bellybutton'' was recorded, though he appears on the album artwork and is credited as "band witchdoctor and mime".
* Music/JagaJazzist: Siblings Lars, Martin, and Line Horntveth are almost the only musicians who have been with the band for its entire existence.
* Jagged Edge has twin brothers Brandon and Brian Casey along with Kyle Norman and Richard Wingo.
* Music/{{Sepultura}} had Max and Igor Cavalera, who later reunited in Cavalera Conspiracy.
** Max's other band, Music/{{Soulfly}}, eventually saw the addition of his son Zyon.
** Max eventually brought his youngest son Igor Cavalera Jr to another project, Go Ahead And Die.
* In Japanese Rock[=/=]VisualKei band Music/BuckTick, drummer Yagami Toll is the elder brother of bass player Yukata Higuchi.
* The Holmes Brothers: Wendell (guitar) and Sherman (bass) are [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin brothers named Holmes]] (drummer Popsy Dixon rounds out the group).
* Lieutenant Pigeon ("Mouldy Old Dough"): Hilda Woodward, her son Rob, and a few other musicians.
* Music/TheStooges had the brothers Ron (guitar, and for some time bass) and Scott Asheton (drums).
* The Spanic Boys: Tom Spanic, his son Ian, and a few other musicians.
* Gloriana includes brothers Tom and Mike Gossin, plus Rachel Reinert.
* Chad and Mike Kroeger of Music/{{Nickelback}} are half-brothers.
* Country music band Sons of the Desert, best known for singing backup on Music/LeeAnnWomack's "I Hope You Dance", consisted of brothers Drew and Tim Womack (no relation to Lee Ann) and three other members.

* Music/TheStatlerBrothers: DoubleSubversion--despite their name, not all of them were brothers, but Don and Harold Reid ''are''. No one in the band was surnamed Statler, though.

* Music/{{Styx}}'s original lineup featured the Panozzo brothers on bass and drums (Chuck and John, respectively). John died in 1996 after years of heavy alcoholism, while Chuck occasionally plays with the band when his health allows it (he's HIV positive).
* The original lineup of Music/BlueOysterCult had Albert and Joe Bouchard on drums and bass, respectively.
* Music/BlackmoresNight with [[Music/DeepPurple Ritchie Blackmore]] and Candice Night, who are married.
* Music/StoneTemplePilots includes the [=DeLeo=] brothers, Dean and Robert, on lead guitar and bass.
* Gary [=LeVox=] and Jay [=DeMarcus=] of Music/RascalFlatts are second cousins. Also, [=DeMarcus'=] brother-in-law is OneHitWonder James Otto ("Just Got Started Lovin' You").
* At various points, the band Toto has had 3 of the Porcaro brothers (drummer Jeff, bassist Mike, and keyboardist/vocalist Steve).
* The Avett Brothers are Scott and Seth Avett and Bob Crawford on up-right bass and Joe Kwon on cello.
* Music/{{Paramore}} started with Josh Farro on guitar and Zac Farro on drums. Both left in 2010 (though Zac returned in 2016), leading to another pair of siblings if only live: current guitarist Taylor York (who had joined the live band three years earlier and became a full-fledged member in 2009), and tour rhythm guitarist Josh York.
* M. Shadows and Synyster Gates of Music/AvengedSevenfold are brothers-in-law, each being married to one-half of a set of identical twin sisters. Which means they are also the uncles of each other's sons. Syn's father Brian Haner Sr. (aka Papa Gates) also plays a solo on each of the band's albums.
* In an odd example, one of Till Lindemann's (vocalist for Music/{{Rammstein}}) ex-wives got with his bandmate, Richard Kruspe, and had a daughter with him. Because Till's ex-wife never reverted back to her maiden name, and because she and Richard never married, their daughter legally has ''Till's'' surname.
* Music/VoodooGlowSkulls have the brothers Frank, Eddie, and Jorge Casillas.
* Music/SteamPoweredGiraffe is helmed by identical twins Bunny and David Bennett.
* The Music/MysteryJets are a Type 1: Lead singer Blaine Harrison's father Henry Harrison plays bass and guitar for the band.
* Music/HeyViolet Rena (vocals) and Nia (drums) Lovelis are sisters.

* [[GodIsLoveSongs Contemporary Christian]] group The Archers {{zigzagged|Trope}} through this trope. Before beginning their recording career; they were a Type 2 example with three brothers (Tim, Steve, and Gary Archer). By the time they began recording in the early 1970s; Gary had moved behind the scenes and the group moved to Type 1 with the addition of Billy Rush Masters and Nancye Short. By 1977; Short and Masters left and the group returned to the Type 2 category following the addition of sister Janice, remaining a Type 2 example for the remainder of the group's history.
* Nomeansno has alternated between both subtypes. They started out as a duo between brothers Rob ([[VocalTagTeam usually]] lead vocals, bass), and John (drums, vocals) Wright, sometimes overdubbing additional instruments like guitar and keyboards. After a single, EP, and an album with the two-man setup, they were joined by Andy Kerr on guitar and vocals. When Kerr left the band, they put out two more albums as a duo, but have since returned to the RockTrio format with Tom Holliston on guitar and vocals.
* Music/ThreeDaysGrace became one when bassist Brad Walst hired his little brother [[Music/MyDarkestDays Matt]] as their new lead singer.
* Three-fourths of Music/GretaVanFleet are brothers: Josh, Jake and Sam Kiszka.

* Music/CheapTrick has been this unofficially for the past few years. Their official drummer, Bun E. Carlos has filed a lawsuit against them for claiming that he is a band member while allegedly not allowing him to do anything as a member of the band (Rick Nielsen's son has been playing drums for the past few years).
* Music/BackstreetBoys have Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson, who are cousins.
* Music/TheCranberries have Noel and Mike Hogan (on lead guitar and bass respectively), who are brothers.
* Music/KateBush's backing band featured her brother Paddy on various instruments for many years. Her partner Del Palmer was also her bassist and recording engineer on all of her albums, so she had both this trope and CreatorCouple in the same band.
* Steve Hackett (the former lead guitarist of Music/{{Genesis|Band}}) often performs with his brother John (who plays the flute), both live and on records.
** Before Steve joined Genesis, the Hackett brothers were in the band Quiet World, which also featured brothers John and Lea Heather as vocalists (their other brother, Neil, wrote some of the band's lyrics). The other band members weren't related to the Heathers, the Hacketts, or each other, though.
* Speaking of Genesis: Music/PhilCollins brought in his son Nic on drums for his Not Dead Yet solo tour (Collins had suffered severe nerve damage which prevented him from playing) and is planning to do the same on Genesis' upcoming reunion tour.
* Matt and Brad Shultz of Music/CageTheElephant are brothers.
* Music/{{Issues}} had fraternal twin brothers Tyler and Skyler Acord, who were respectively the DJ and bassist of the band. Ultimately subverted, as the former left the band, leaving no relatives involved. Also, it had brothers Ben and Cory Ferris, who [[ThePeteBest left before they made any material]].
* Music/{{HAIM}}, consisting of sisters Alana, Danielle, and Este Haim, would've been a perfect example of Type 2, and was at one point... until they added their [[TheOneGuy male friend]] Dash Hutton on drums.
* The current incarnation of Music/ThirtySecondsToMars consists of Jared Leto, Shannon Leto, and [[OddNameOut Tomo Milicevic]].
* ElectronicMusic band Music/CleanBandit features brothers Jack and Luke Patterson.
* Indie rock band Music/{{Marmozets}} consists of ''two'' different sets of siblings: Becca, Sam, and Josh Macintyre on vocals, rhythm guitar, and drums respectively, while another pair of brothers Jack and Will Bottomley are on lead guitar and bass.
* Music/FleetwoodMac became one in 1970 when John [=McVie=] married Christine Perfect, who (after years of sort of orbiting around it) finally became an official member. 1974 saw the addition of Lindsey Buckingham and Music/StevieNicks, who, while not married, more or less practically were. The disintegration of the [=McVies'=] marriage, the end of Buckingham and Nicks' relationship, and Mick Fleetwood's own divorce from his (non-musician) wife in 1976-77, and the subsequent cocaine-fueled game of musical beds that arose out of the simultaneous implosion of so many relationships in a single band, resulted in ''Music/{{Rumours}}''—widely hailed as their masterpiece—but also in the eventual near-disintegration of the band.
* Music/PeterGabriel's daughter Melanie often sings backing vocals for him live in concert (and on at least a couple of studio tracks as well).
* Music/TheFourFreshmen was ¾ relatives from 1948-1960, with brothers Don and Ross Barbour alongside cousin Bob Flanigan.
* ElectronicMusic group Music/{{Nero}} became this in 2015 when vocalist Alana Watson married producer Dan Stephens.
* Ever since the mid-'90s, Music/TheWho has on its touring band Pete Townshend's brother Simon.
* Music/RogerWaters has had his son Harry playing keyboards for him on tour since 2002.
* The core members of Spirit included Randy California (guitar, vocals) and his stepfather Ed Cassidy on drums.
* Musical Youth, a reggae band from England, had brothers Michael and Kelvin Grant and Freddie and Patrick Waite. Dennis Seaton was the only one not related to another bandmate.

* Music/ThrowingMuses has Kristin Hersh and her stepsister Tanya Donelly.
* Tanya Donelly later joined [[Music/ThePixies Kim Deal's]] band Music/TheBreeders, and after Tanya left, she was replaced by Kim's twin sister Kelley.
* Ranko and Ranko no Ane[[note]]whose StageName actually means "Ranko's Older Sister"[[/note]] from Music/{{Butaotome}} are sisters.
* The Christians originally revolved around brothers Garry, Russell, and Roger Christian, but also included unrelated fourth member Henry Priestman. (The current line-up fronted by Garry is not an example as Roger died in 1998 and Russell has retired from music.)
* Music/{{Halestorm}}, the original line up is Lzzy Hale, Arjay Hale and their father, Roger Hale but Roger left the band in 2004 and became a SiblingTeam.
* Russian band Agatha Christie famously had the Samoylov brothers, Gleb and Vadim, as two of its key members. Their escalating SiblingRivalry after the death of third key member Aleksandr Kozlov is often cited as the reason the band ultimately broke up.
* Luis Mariutti and Hugo Mariutti of Music/{{Angra}} and Shaaman.
* Music/{{Thrice}} has brothers Eddie and Riley Breckenridge.
* Music/{{A Flock of Seagulls}} includes lead singer/keyboardist Mike Score and his brother Ali Score on drums.
* Josh Holcomb has been the trombonist of Lucky Chops since its founding. In 2021, his brother Ben became the drummer.
* Music/DireStraits was originally fronted by Mark Knopfler as LeadGuitaristAndLeadSinger, with his brother David Knopfler as rhythm guitarist; David departed during the recording of their third album to pursue a solo career and the band achieved its greatest success without him, though he still played on one of their most enduring hits, "Sultans of Swing."
* Glam rock outfit Palaye Royale was founded by brothers Remington Leith, Sebastian Danzig, and Emerson Barrett (their surname is Kropp; each brother uses his first and middle names as a StageName). Later, they would add guitarist Andrew Martin and bassist Daniel Curcio (later replaced by Jennie Vee), who are not related to the founding members.

* The Spencer Davis Group had brothers Steve and Muff Winwood.

* Music/TheLindaLindas has sisters Mila and Lucia de la Garza, plus their cousin Eloise Wong. Bela Salazar is not related to the other three.
* Music/{{ESG}}: This early eighties funk-rock band that was hugely influential on later punk-funk centered on the Scroggins sisters, Renee, Valerie, Deborah and Marie, although other people not related to them have been in the band at various times. When the band reformed in the 2000s Deborah no longer took part.
* When Music/LynyrdSkynyrd reunited in 1987, Johnny Van Zant replaced his older brother, Ronnie, as lead singer.
* The Great Society had brothers Darby and Jerry Slick, and Jerry's then-wife Grace. After Grace joined Music/JeffersonAirplane she divorced Jerry but kept [[TheMaidenNameDebate his last name]], then had a long partnership with Paul Kantner (producing a child), though they never actually married.
* Music/TheBangles includes sisters Vicki and Debbie Peterson.
* Music/{{Gojira|Band}} includes brothers Joe and Mario Duplantier (vocalist/guitarist and drummer).
* When Music/AmericanFootball reunited in 2014, founding lead vocalist and guitarist Mike Kinsella was joined by his cousin Nate Kinsella on bass and vibraphone.
* Music/AlienWeaponry is composed of brothers Henry and Lewis de Jong and a succession of bassists.
* Music/LeavesEyes was cofounded by former Music/TheatreOfTragedy vocalist Music/LivKristine and her then-husband Music/{{Atrocity}} vocalist Alexander Krull. However, their divorce in 2016 led to her exiting the band later that year.
* Music/{{Epica}} was cofounded by former Music/AfterForever guitarist Mark Jansen and his then-girlfriend Simone Simons. They are no longer a couple offstage (she has since married Music/{{Kamelot}} keyboardist Oliver Palotai), but are still bandmates.

* Music/TheAndrewsSisters consisted of Patty, Maxene, and LaVerne Andrews

* Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose, a moderately successful R&B group in the '70s, started out in the "some related" category, but by the time they had their chart success, they were all relatives. The group started out with brothers Carter and Eddie Cornelius, their sister Rose Cornelius, and childhood friend Cleveland E. Barrett, but Barrett died in a car crash before the group recorded its first hit. In 1972, the three siblings were joined by another sister, Billie Jo. The group would break up in 1976.

* The Court Yard Hounds, as mentioned above.

* Music/TheEverlyBrothers.

* The Maddox Brothers and Rose were an early country group consisting of brothers Fred, Cliff, Cal, and Don, plus their sister Rose. When Cliff passed away in 1949, another brother, Henry, replaced him.

* The [[TheGloriousWarOfSisterlyRivalry Nolan Sisters]], an Irish singing family who were big in the late 1970s and 1980s. They are currently riven by dissension of various kinds and brandishing lawyers at each other. Youngest sister Colleen is probably the most successful, as she has permanent tenure on talk show ''{{LooseWomen}}''. The sisters apparently remain [[GermansLoveDavidHasselhoff Big in Japan]].

* The Trapp Family Singers: Maria von Trapp, her husband Georg Ludwig von Trapp, and her stepchildren (also her and Georg's own children when they became old enough).

* Music/TheWhiteStripes: At first they claimed to be brother and sister, it later became clear they were actually husband and wife. Jack White said they started the brother-and-sister story to keep people from asking annoying questions. Subverted when they divorced, but kept going for around another decade.
* For their first three albums, hard rock band {{Music/Chevelle}} consisted of brothers Pete, Sam, and Joe Loeffler. Joe left the band in 2005 and was replaced by the brothers' brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini.
* Indie rockers The Cribs consist of brothers Gary, Ryan, and Ross Jarman, except for a period between 2008 and 2011 when Music/JohnnyMarr was also a member of the band.
* Music/TheKentuckyHeadhunters. When founded as Itchy Brother, the band consisted of brothers Richard (rhythm guitar) and Fred Young (drums), plus their cousins Greg Martin (lead guitar) and Anthony Kenney (bass). The original lineup under their name The Kentucky Headhunters kept the Young brothers and Martin, along with a second pair of brothers, Ricky Lee and Doug Phelps, on lead vocals and bass guitar respectively. After the second album, both Ricky Lee and Doug left to form another Band of Relatives, the duo Brother Phelps, while Kenney returned and the unrelated Mark S. Orr did lead vocals for one album. Orr left promptly, Doug came back as lead vocalist, and Kenney eventually left, promoting Doug to LeadBassist.
* Carter's Chord is another sister trio in country music: Becky Robertson, Emily Fortney, and Joanna Robertson Ott.
* The Isaacs consists of Lily Isaacs, her daughters Becky and Sonya, and their husbands, John Bowman and Jimmy Yeary.
* Tompall & the Glaser Brothers: brothers [[AerithAndBob Jim, Chuck, and Tompall Glaser]].
* The 5 Browns: Five piano-playing siblings.
* The Browns: James, Maxine, and Bonnie (brother, two sisters) were a country trio from 1955 to 1967.

* The Gipsy Kings, a crossover flamenco/pop band made up of Romani people from France but singing in Spanish, started out in 1978 as a Type 2, later became Type 1, and are now Type 2 once again. The current members are two sets of brothers, with each set being cousins to the other. The founding members are lead singer Nicolas Reyes, his brother André, lead guitarist Tonino Baliardo, and his brothers Diego and Paco. Three more Reyes brothers (Paul, François "Canut", and Patchal) and two unrelated members later joined the band, but the non-relatives eventually left, leaving the current lineup of five Reyes brothers and three Bailardo brothers.
* Tweedy is a father-son duo of [[{{Music/Wilco}} Jeff]] and Spencer Tweedy.

Wilbury, Jr", "Muddy Wilbury"), Music/GeorgeHarrison("Nelson Wilbury", "Spike Wilbury"), and [[Music/ElectricLightOrchestra Jeff Lynne]]("Otis Wilbury", "Clayton Wilbury"). The idea was posited that the members of the band were all half-brothers with the last name Wilbury, and all the band members took pseudonyms with that same last name Wilbury, and a different name on each album!
