** Eugene doesn't want to participate in the dance at first, despite Rapunzel beckoning him in. Maximus decides "It's her birthday and you're going to dance with her!" and pushes Eugene into the dance. By the end of it though, Eugene is clearly enjoying himself.

* When Rapunzel, Eugene, Maximus and Pascal finally enter the Kingdom, Maximus and Eugene get into a fight after Eugene spots a wanted poster of himself and tries to hide it. While they tussle, Pascal (who is riding on Rapunzel's head) gets their attention and gives them a scolding look like an exasperated parent to their quarreling children saying "you two are NOT going to ruin this for her!" Pascal loves Rapunzel enough to intimidate Eugene and Maximus (who are both much bigger than him) into behaving themselves for Rapunzel's birthday.
**The best part? Other than a couple of shoves directed at each other, Maximus and Eugene actually listen!

** Topping that off? Eugene (who is busy hiding from the soldiers) sees her with her hair all done up...and looks at her like she's the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. His playful pushing of Maximus (who is giving Eugene a classic "You ''sure'' you're not interested in her?" is just a beautiful way to cap it.
