* So, [[spoiler: Forrest Kaysen]] was some sort of space alien?
** Demon/extradimensional entity/alien thing, yes. It's never really explained what [[spoiler: he]] is, [[spoiler: he]] could even have been originally human (not anymore obviously.)

** It has an [[spoiler: S&M room]] in the basement. The name is, like, the ''least'' crazy part of the place.
* George and Emily were both outside the lumber mill. [[spoiler: How the hell did George ditch Emily to attack York inside it?]]
** That wasn't [[spoiler: George]], that was the [[spoiler: previous Raincoat Killer]], trapped in the Red World.
** Alternatively, [[spoiler: George]] slipped from the real world to the Other World, where he has OffscreenTeleportation powers.

* Why did [[spoiler: Kaysen]] bother pretending to be friends with the Ingrams?
** Maybe it [[BecomingTheMask wasn't exactly an act.]] Sure, he's a heartless bastard, but maybe he likes rock music, too. Or maybe he was scoping out Lilly for "soil." Or maybe he knew about the twins' [[spoiler: [[ISeeDeadPeople powers]],]] and was trying to figure out a way to repress that and/or take advantage of it.
* Related: Why does [[spoiler: Willie]] help Emily, [[spoiler: leading her to the clock tower and saving her from Thomas? I can see Kaysen doing it to screw with her and York, but wouldn't Willie, being his handler (and thus theoretically the more practical one) give Kaysen an easy opportunity to off what would be the only remaining threat? (Unless Willie ''wanted'' Kaysen dead for his transgressions, of course...)]]
** [[spoiler: Presumably Kaysen was thinking ahead in terms of his "game" - he was likely already aware that York was going to be able to finish off George, and he wanted to ensure that both York and Emily would be around so he could get the most pleasure out of tormenting them in the final stage of his plans.]]

** Probably since his initial encounter with [[spoiler: Kaysen]].

* So all of the goddesses of the forest except [[spoiler: Emily]] were sexually involved with [[spoiler: George]] right? Including the victims?
** It's heavily implied, yes. Given the [[spoiler: S&M basement]] and the description of the girls acting like "cats in heat" under the influence of the seeds, it also adds a creepy non-consensual angle to that...

** Based on how we see people behaving under their influence, and [[spoiler:the effects of the purple gas on the town,]] the primary effect of the red seeds (on humans, anyway) is to cause insanity; superpowers/immortality might only happen upon ingesting a truly ridiculous amount, hence why [[spoiler:George]] absolutely shovels them in during his boss fight. As for whether it grows into a tree, that seems to be based on whether [[spoiler:Kaysen... fertilizes the ground or not.]]

* During one of George's sidequests, you have to go get flowers for his mother, who is currently sick, as they would cheer her up. [[spoiler:Leaving aside the fact that his mother was very abusive to him so it's a wonder why he would want to cheer her up if she were sick, towards the end of the game we find out that his mother has been dead for a while. So why did he want the flowers?]]
** Presumably he felt guilty about it. Towards the end of the game, [[spoiler: during the boss battle with him,]] George regresses to a child like state and begins pleading to his mother. [[spoiler: There's a good chance that, despite all of the abuse he suffered, George still loved her.]] Perhaps he asks you to get the flowers as an apology, [[spoiler: then offers them to her hollow and long-dead corpse in the hope of being forgiven for her death. He's crazy like that.]]
** He played music for her [[spoiler: body]], too, and she's in the one real piece of furniture in the house. Maybe he just likes doing things for her.
* York smokes a lot. [[spoiler: Given that Zach doesn't smoke, what did he do then, whenever 'York' supposedly lit up during the game? Not smoke?]]
** Well, keep in mind, [[spoiler:even if York was ''introducing'' himself as Zach, he was still ''acting like'' himself. Or, to look at it differently, Zach was acting like York, and thus smoked, whereas when he acts like himself, he doesn't.]]
** This might be a really deep cut Twin Peaks reference - in early promotional materials and rehersals, Dale Cooper is shown smoking. Once they got deeper into establishing the characters of Twin Peaks, it was decided that Cooper would be too straight laced and uptight to give into a dirty vice like smoking, so the scenes were re-shot sans cigarettes. So like Cooper [[spoiler:he's both a smoker and not a smoker.]]
* In the beginning, York is driving his car and goes off the road when the Raincoat Killer appears on the street. [[spoiler:When meeting Emily, she mentions that George Woodman is the Sheriff and he left to look for York. Was the Raincoat Killer on the street George? Or the one from the Other World, making him more a hallucination?]]
* In the old sawmill York finds red hair stuck in the elevator gears and that is for some reason an important clue for his profiling. Where did that red hair come from? Of the people involved in the murders [[spoiler: Becky and Diane]] have hair closest to that, but they are more orange than bright red like the hair York found.
** The red hair likely came from [[spoiler:Thomas's wig.]]
