** The third game seems to support the idea that demons claiming a witch's soul is on a 'first come , first served' basis. We see Gommorah try and claim the soul of a witch we know is contracted to anouther demon and he's only stopped by someone else killing him before he can.

* Maybe it was Styx's magic that brought Jeanne to Inferno, but before Styx could locate her new prey, Alraune found her and took her for herself? Also, don't forget, Rodin in the first game says their souls are merely dragged down to Hell and forced to "wander around scared shitless for all eternity". It could be a case that Umbra Witches therefore just forfeit their souls to Inferno as a whole, as opposed to there being the chance of them going to Paradiso (if that is possible), if they make contracts with Infernals.

* Related to the above, it's noted that the imbalance of the realities was causing many of the demons to behave differently from normal (normally reasonable ones turning feral for instance). So perhaps that influenced how Jeanne didn't end up being claimed by Styx.

* A witch's outfit may reflect the demon they made a pact with. Madama Styx seems to have a red colouring so Jeanne wears red. Since most of the witches we see are just nameless faceless nobodies they all use the same generic outfit but if we were to actually get to know some of them we might get to see some more varied outfits.

* Well she doesn't exactly know where she's going for most of the game. She needs Loki as a guide and he can't fly. When she dos have a clear idea of where to go she does fly there...using a jet. I guess she could have used them when in Hell where she had no one assisting her but I guess you'll just have to call gameplay story segregation on that one.

* Also I think Malphas's wings require concentration and magic to do. Considering that Umbra Witches are more combat based than magic based I think she would fall somewhere into the Pacific if she tried.
* As for the others Gameplay Story segregation on the others.

Both Bayonetta and Balder lose their respective eyes to Loptr, who loses it when Loki erases them from existence. At this point, Baonetta has already been through the events of the first game, but Balder is yet to live through them. Then how come Father Balder still possesses his eye of the world in the first game?

Considering Jeanne made her DealWithTheDevil with Madama Styx, why was her soul being eaten by Alraune and not by Madama Styx herself?

*As seen in Purgatorio in the few chapters before the final boss, there actually is a Gate leading to Inferno somewhere around the mountain. However instead of Inferno, what lies beyond it is a staircase.

Now that we've seen many other witches' outfit, how come Jeanne is the only who wears, and apparently has ever worn red?

Why does Bayonetta needed to go to Fimbulventr anyway? I mean, Rodin regularly makes trip to Inferno to create weapons. Why can't she just ask or force Rodin to open one up to save Jeanne? She had kicked his ass before (if you purchased the Platinum Ticket and defeated him) and he seems to regard her like a sort of friend, so why didn't she just ask for that favour?

* Maybe Rodin's form of transportation works for Rodin only.

[[WMG: Where are the Gates of Hell]]
Where are the Ruins of Lost Memory, exactly, in relation to Fimbulventr? Are they just under the mountain? Thenw hy are they floating in some sort of abyss.

* Its possible that while in theory the power can eradicate anything, in practice Loki couldn't use it to erase something as powerful as the other half of himself.

So, even with the Sovereign Power taken away, Loki retains the power of 'nothingness', the power to eradicate anything from the world - including the Eyes. Why didn't he eradicate Loptr instead?

[[WMG: Malphas's Wings]]
So, Bayo has Learned to summon Malphas's wings in order to fly (why she can't fly with Madama Butterfly's wings i'm not sure) so why can't she use them to fly straight to where she needs to go?

* During the scene where Loptr extracts the Right Eye, you see Baldur's right eye flash, perhaps indicating that it wasn't all gone from him. Loki might have hit just the power inside Loptr.
