** Yeah but why add the romance in the first place? Given that many fans were less than supportive of it all it actually does is make Bruce's actions come off as worse throughout the game, a pairing you don't like being fulfilled does not a happy ending make.

*** I think more to the point, as you said, Nygma long ago ruled Bruce Wayne out as a suspect, developing new theories instead. Then he turned out to be wrong, which he cannot accept.

*** [[spoiler: It's at least connected to it, given Joker used his "Jack White" alias while dealing with Bruke, which is the same one he used in dealing with Young and Burke's records stated that the "medicine" he was advised to give his daughter came from Dr. Young.]]

* The bigger implication of the Joker disease is that Joker himself had the non-mutated disease before his chemical bath. And if Joker did have CJS, his chemical bath may have caused the mutation, which would explain how he lived so long. However, his playing around with Titan might have brought the disease back in force; since it was responsible for his blood infection, the chemicals might have caused a reaction in his organis in the intervening period between ''Asylum'' and ''City'', which lasted about a year.
