* In one slightly infamous ''ComicBook/JimmyOlsen'' comic, Jimmy lands in hot water with [[LoveInterest Lucy Lane]] when a set of incredible coincidences convince her that he's been striking her repeatedly. (They had just seen an apache dance and Lucy had said that a girl attracted to a man's man doesn't mind a little roughness.) Ironically, what finally changes her mind is when Jimmy ''does'' hit her on purpose -- that is, he saves her life by slapping her to stop her from screaming and startling a deadly snake being transported on her plane.
