* Colonel Mortimer's hat revenge. After having his hat shot by Manco until it was blasted out of range, Mortimer squares the hat on his head, pulls his long-barreled Buntline special, and proceeds to answer back to Manco's machinations with six perfectly timed and aimed shots to Manco's hat, keeping it in the air until his gun is empty. Making it even more hilarious is that with all the holes in it, Manco's hat whistles like a bottle rocket on its way back down to the ground, before the scene ends on a close-up of Mortimer's slightly-smiling face and his familiar "boing" musical cue. It's quite possibly the only time Eastwood truly meets someone that's a match to his skills in the trilogy.

After having his hat shot by Manco until it was blasted out of range, Mortimer squares the hat on his head, pulls his long-barreled Buntline special, and proceeds to answer back to Manco's machinations with six perfectly timed and aimed shots to Manco's hat, keeping it in the air until his gun is empty. Making it even more hilarious is that with all the holes in it, Manco's hat whistles like a bottle rocket on its way back down to the ground, before the scene ends on a close-up of Mortimer's slightly-smiling face and his familiar "boing" musical cue. It's quite possibly the only time Eastwood truly meets someone that's a match to his skills in the trilogy.
