* On the topic of Ghostbusters, when the Party is walking down the hallway at school after realizing that nobody else was wearing costumes, some kid in the background taunts them with "who you gonna call ? ''The Nerds'' !", which causes Dustin to crack a grin. While it could be easy to chalk it off as some mild {{Corpsing}} from Creator/GatenMatarazzo, it's important to remember that Dustin is very much aware that he is a nerd, and he's ''proud'' of it. With that in mind, ''of course'' Dustin wouldn't take offense at that taunt : if anything, he grinned because he thought it was ActuallyPrettyFunny.

* Hopper's monologue to Dmitri about his feelings of being cursed hold much greater weight than when he says the same to his one-night stand in Season One. Regarding the first season, he says he feels cursed because it has been a long time since either a reported missing person and suicide has happened in Hawkins, and the same events (or so he is led to believe on the latter) has happened in two days. However, because we learn that Sara's death from cancer was likely due to his exposure to Agent Orange holds much more gravity to his actions after she passed away. It really wasn't his fault as he was drafted and was lied to that the chemicals were harmless, and his then-wife wanted a child. He even says that his wife didn't blame him for it, but only in words. He probably could see through her, and that was likely the main reason why she divorced him, and not necessarily because he started abusing drugs and alcohol. Most people will stick with a partner in the latter case, especially since Hopper was still relatively able to function in life; and while he does have a bit of a temper, there was never any indication of any form of abuse. Then, there's the fact that he has no idea whether Joyce is alive, nor that Murray came along with her. At this point he regrets sending for her. Hopper's overall opinions of himself since Sara's illness are much more heartbreaking after we learn more about his backstory.
