* Huey, Dewy and Louie being the heirs to Scrooge's fortune makes sense when you consider the comic books canon, where Scrooge was unhappy that he might need to will his fortune to his closest living relatives. In the comics, that's Donald and Gladstone Gander, whom he both found fault with in receiving money. In this continuity, as Donald had disappeared years before, Scrooge would have given anything to keep his money from going lock stock and barrel to the lazy ultra lucky nephew he had. So, to ensure that his money wouldn't be lost, he instead willed it to his grandnephews.
