* How come cologne has not just gone to the huge well of energy in the middle of the city that obviously represents superman.
** For that instance why hasn’t the super genius lex luthor thought to ask her to do that

* Why did Ranma let himself get dragged into a slug fest with Ryoga. He knows for a fact that that will give Ryoga an overwhelming advantage yet he let himself get drawn into a stamina game despite having the advantage.

Fan bias or not, please be cool when you edit. Rudeness is not cool. Also, if you want to contest something take it to Discussion.

* In an effort to sup up Ryoga Lathis has repeatedly given Ryoga knowledge that is detrimental to his skill set. Like joint manipulation and Pentakian Reverse Leverage Thorax. The use of the first ended in disaster while the second was used on someone way below his skill set. It’s the same reason Ranma doesn’t use the Yamasenken style or the Bakusai Tenketsu even though he picks up things at an insane pace. They just are not suited for Ranma's fighting style. There’s a reason he and Ranma have only fought once.
* Lathis tried to make his fic as close to cannon as possible. Akane and Ryoga repeatedly like to rework scenerio’s in their head so it ends up Ranma’s fault some how. During TALB Akane glared at Ranma for making fun of Ryouga for getting lost conveniently forgetting that when she learned about the neko ken her first response was to see how many cats she could get on him. In fact any time Akane finds out something horrific about Ranma’s childhood she either beats him up because it embarrasses her or uses it to control him.

* Nabiki is just as arrogant in fact more so them Ranma. She is opportunistic and thinks only of her immediate gain. She does not factor in the possible consequences of her actions. Nabiki jump in to super villainy with this same mentality.
* Ranma was perfectly aware of what could happen if he went cat as a boy in the presence of nya nya.

* Nabiki is just as arrogant in fact more so them Ranma. She is opportunistic and thinks only of her immediate gain. She does not factor in the possible consequences of her actions. This is shown on multiple occasions such as her taking pictures of Ranma when she knew nothing about how Ranma might retaliate when he found out, not taking into account how dangerous it is to be Ranma's fiancée (which nearly got her killed, heck she herself thought she pushed Ranma to far), or what would happen to her or her family if she lost the 10 yen battle. The only reason she hasn’t been killed is that those Godlike martial artists have both a certain honor code and incredible self control and luckily the ones that don’t are weaker then the one’s that do. Nabiki jump jumped in to super villainy with this same mentality.

Removing excessive Ranma fan bias. This is a tropes page, not a Ranma respect thread

* The author had no other choice but to use the anime’s skill level over the manga. Ryoga was always trying to kill him. Attacking when Ranma sleeping(worst showing).Trying to kill him with one touch after the breaking point training. Trying to kill him throwing sharpen handband(by ki) and using one as a weapon(also by ki). Manga Ryoga is seriously not a threat to him in a fight most of the time, ignored by Ranma half of the time while talking to Akane. Anime Ryoga on the other hand is far closer (also debatable more talented) to Anime Ranma, and probably can beat him in a fair fight.
* When Ranma fought Goku he mentioned that he was just as trusting as he was in the manga. Ranma is more likely to look at books for answers and to read for entertainment. We see Ranma turn to books for answers such as when Dr Tofu hurt his neck we later see him reading a book on chiropractics, during the reversal jewel he turned to dating magazines for advice on dating, turned to a scroll to counter Miss Hinako's draining, picked up the diary to find out why no one was at the island with the Hawaiian virus, etc. We also see him reading at other times as to what he was reading at those other times is unknown he was reading something while waiting for Ryoga prior to the ShiShiHadoken, read something while going to sleep when Miss Hinako stayed at the Tendo's, etc. Though Ranma will occasionally play video games ( he plays a fighting game with Miss Hinako on her Super Nintendo) and watch TV (we see him watch the news occasionally) he is much more likely to grab a book.
* While Lathis tries to write objectively he repeatedly shows his bias in his characterization. He knocks down Ryouga throughout the story only to have him rise at critical points hero. Yet he builds up Ranma throughout the story only to have him fall at critical points. By having so many incidents one after another where Ranma can't quite pull it off, Lathis gives the reader the impression he doesn’t like Ranma. One or two incidents is cool. It happens. We dont always succeed. None constantly wins. But we do like to see someone who pulls it off occasionally.
** You can easily see that he doesn’t like Ranma much. He tendsto write him as a lackwit. Thankfully he’s toned that down. But he still tend to put Ranma in situations where he simply cannt win, and is useless. The readers pick up on this. Case in point. Ranma is helpless and someone else gets to finish off the badguy. It would be the same as BeastBoy showing up and taking out the Headmaster while Ryoga watched on. It doesnt matter how well or long Ranma fought, the fact that someone else had to step in and rescue not only Akane, but Ranma as well gives an impression that Lathis’ doesn’t care for the character. But, the Ranma never loses scenario is a simplistic end at best. That in itself would be fine. But because he has had mutliple other instances where Ranma is downplayed...
*** The Lieutenant also gets the cool "killer line": Daizo's smirk widened into a grin. “Guess that makes me just a good man.” A classic. Well done. Normally that pleasure is reserved for main character, ie Ranma. But here Ranma is helpless on the sidelines so it falls to another character. Okay, well maybe Ranma will get to say something witty, you know to save face. So instead he gets:"Still not able to remember whatever it was that was slipping her mind, she just shrugged it away for later. “Heh, if I ever gotta go through somethin' like that again . . . hell, I can't even think of anything funny to say to go with that . . .” By seeing this, Ranma is once again outshadowed in importance to the viewers.
** Ranma's foe is Goku. Someone he has absolutely no chance in hell of beating. Hell, without Goku figuring it out, Ranma would be a bloody smear. Once again, Ranma is effectively useless. Oh sure, Lathis gave the impression that maybe Ranma might be able to figure his way out of it, but ultimately it was Goku and not Ranma who solved the problem. The Ranma never loses ending has been overdone to death. But the Ranma wins only cause someone else saved his ass ending is almost as bad.

* Repeatedly Starfire has been compared to Kasumi when actuality she’s has a lot more in common with Ranma then anybody else. They are both have up beat personalities despite horrible tragic pasts. They both have little social skills the only real difference is that Ranma’s personality is tempered by being raised by Genma. Yet Ryoga views Starfire like a sister and Ranma as his mortal enemy.

* Despite claiming to be in love with him Shampoo seems to know nothing about him. Twice she has mentioned his chauvinistic attitude about fighting woman. She herself has seen proof that that is not true. Her whole situation started by him defeating her with a kick, he wanted to hit Kodachi during the rhythmic gymnastics match; he hit Konatsu when he thought he was a she, etc. He will and has fought girls in his male form (Herb before knew was male, Kiima, Rouge, etc.).

* The Hiryu Shoten Ha is a completely defensive technique something that while Ryoga is skilled in isn’t his biggest strength. Not once during the entire series has Ryoga ever tried to use it in battle.
