* [[spoiler: Marley appears to be a stand-in for Italy with its military, political and culinary culture, and flashbacks show they wore Roman-like armour. This makes them the perfect people to save stolen and reutilized the godlike Titan powers from Eldia for themselves , because the ancestors of Italy, real-life Romans, based their gods off the Greek ones - both in fiction and fact, the Romans '''stole deities'''. It even reflects how Marley lacked the same power of Eldia and why they needed it to conqueror the world, the same way the Romans lacked the means to create their own mythology to ''explain'' the world.]]

** Indeed. Not sure if this is ever directly stated, but it seems that that the sole reason why pure titans have the urge to eat humans is [[spoiler: out of an instinctual desire to become a titan shifter, which is only possible by eating a shifter while they are in human form. So they mindlessly eat any human they can.]]

* If kidnapping Eren was the primary goal of [[spoiler: Annie, Reiner, and Bertolt]], then why didn't the others transform to help [[spoiler: Annie]] accomplish that mission? Simple. [[spoiler: Because their primary mission was actually to locate the Founding Titann, which had not yet shown himself and if Eren turned out to not be the "Coordinate", still having some of them undercover would help their search efforts.]]

* The reveal of the true nature of the Attack Titan [[spoiler:an its gimmick to glimpse past and future holders' memories and Eren being the one influencing previous holders to fight for freedom. As the Characters entry for Kruger states, it is implied he strung Grisha along from the moment Faye died. Couple this with Eren's aforementioned influence on previous holders, he may be responsible for Faye's death by leading Kruger (and Gross by proxy) to Grisha.]]

* There's also the fact that [[spoiler: Captain, or Kenny, Ackerman was a serial killer who took out over a hundred [=MPs=] over the course of a few decades and is considered a legend in the Inner District.]] He was also the the man who [[spoiler: Levi lived with when he was younger]]. It's no wonder [[spoiler: Levi says he's an aberrant human]]; whatever [[spoiler: Kenny Ackerman taught him when they lived together]] must have really messed him up one way or another.

* The symbol on the [[spoiler:Eldian armbands]] may seem arbitrary, but it bears a very strong resemblance to the flash of light from a lightning strike. In other words, a Titan's transformation. [[spoiler: Also Fridge Horror for the Eldians constantly having to wear it like it's a hazard sign, as though they're little more than a living bomb that could go off at any moment.]]

* Why is the Attack Titan titled the way it is? Two possible reasons; [[spoiler: one, because all the past wielders are inheritors of Eren's will, ensuring they will act out a purpose to set up future events, it's an '''attack''' which comes from a place no-one else can know about; the future. And two, the purpose of the Attack Titan was to initiate the Rumbling by claiming the Founding Titan for itself; in other words, it was setting up a massive '''attack''' on the rest of the world.]]

*** [[spoiler:It's probably worse than that. Grisha stated before attacking the Reiss family, he already knows what's going to happen. A moment later, he confesses that he doesn't want to kill them... but then he does it anyway. If he ''really'' didn't want to kill them, couldn't he have insisted on not doing so? The answer lies in the Attack Titan's ability: it does not glimpse into the future, but into ''memories'' of the future. [[YouCantFightFate What they see has already happened, so they have no choice but to be a slave to fate.]] Eren is no different from Grisha in that regard. Those who inherit the Attack Titan may fight for freedom, but they give up their own free will in the process.]]
* [[spoiler:If those who inherit the Attack Titan must continue moving forward even ''after'' death as is suggested, that would imply an entirely more horrifying fate than merely being eaten.]]

** When this fable is combined with knowledge of real world history, it has some interesting implications, bordering on GeniusBonus. Ymir lived so many generations before the time of the main story, she would logically be the ancestor of not only every Eldian, but every person of nearby nations, including Marley. Especially if Marleyans were forced to have half Eldian children. Whether they know it or not, Marleyans share the same ancestry they use as an excuse to persecute Eldians.

* [[spoiler:How the Rumbling works is a stark twist on the theme of being trapped in a birdcage. If the Rumbling was made to completion, then the last remnants of humanity would face their demise by being crushed by the birdcage on all sides. For Paradis, the walls never went away, they simply expanded. And for Eren, the boy who sought freedom, he is bringing the walls with him. In other words, Eren never truly achieved his dream of seeing the walls torn down.]]

** [[spoiler:It doesn't end there. When Zeke communicated with Grisha through the Paths Grisha was frightened by Eren's plan and begged him to stop him. The problem is, it should be more than possible for Grisha to stop Eren from even inheriting the Founding Titan to begin with. All he had to do was not feed himself to Eren, and yet the timeline remained unchanged. [[NothingIsScarier What the hell did Eren do to him?]]]]
