* AnAesop: There's dignity in owning your flaws, misfortunes and what makes you different rather than trying to hide it or be ashamed of it. Jimmy wins the final rap battle by loudly and proudly declaring that he is white, poor and has friends who've done dumb stuff and pointing out everything Papa Doc has been hiding, [[spoiler: that he is really an affluent suburban kid whose tough image is entirely a facade. By the end, everyone has gained new respect for Jimmy and sees Doc as nothing but a preening wannabe.]]
