Don't quite know if what was added is correct or not, but I felt it worth mentioning in the vibe Calder's character is written with.

Added DiffLines:

* CardCarryingVillain: Unlike Xykon and Tarquin, who bring their own brand of self-aware humor to the role, Calder is ''very'' straightforward and grandiose in who and what he is, as seen in AGodAmI.

Added DiffLines:

* KnightOfCerebus: [[PlayedWith In a sense.]] While ''The Order of the Stick'' at this point as a story has long gone through [[CerebusSyndrome very nasty villains, dark themes, and dramatic moments]], Calder is the first villain in the story who has ''none'' of the humor that the previous villains have had in any way, behaving much more like a traditional fantasy villain and being powerful enough that the only humor that the heroes can usually get on him is the banter to counter his grandiose, but very legitimate threats, or when counter-attacking him. That being said, while Calder is treated seriously as an enemy, the threat of Xykon and Redcloak getting potentially closer and closer to Kraagor's Gate and potentially releasing [[EldritchAbomination The Snarl]] far eclipses whatever threat he may have towards the world at large, the Vector Legion's control over the Western Continent far outstrips any wider menace his old cult possessed, and of course, there is the unknown threat of the [[TheChessmaster IFCC's wider plans to consider]].

misuse — Predecessor Villain is not "a villain fought by the precedessors of the heroes"

* PredecessorVillain: Calder and his cult were one of the many threats the Order of the Scribble faced in their day, before their creation of the Gates and decades before the events of the main story, and he has been trapped in Kraagor's Tomb ever since. Once he is released from his stasis, he immediately turns to getting revenge on Serini and establishing his cult again.

* ShoutOut: A dragon named "Calder" can only be a reference to the sculpture ''[[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flying_Dragon_(Calder) Flying Dragon]]'' by Alexander Calder. (That, or the fact that he debuted on a calendar.)

* KickTheSonOfABitch: He kills Zz'dtri by breaking his neck after he realizes that the Order of the Stick will be more helpful towards him in reaching the dwarvern homelands. Since Zz'dtri enjoyed turning people into stone and was willing to kill his own comrade to save his own skin....

The Adaptational Badass Quote does not really apply to Calder, his capabilities are perfectly in line with the Oldest Categories of a Red Dragon, who count as 17th level Sorcerers at the Wyrm stage.

* AdaptationalBadass: Calder has abilities beyond what typical red dragons are capable of. [[CharmPerson He is highly proficient at mind control,]] [[NoSell no longer has a weakness to cold damage,]] [[YinYangBomb and can cast a cold-based spell.]] How he augmented himself is unknown, but the most likely explanation is that he has taken literal class levels at some point. Given that ''polar ray'' is a 8th level spell that requires at least a level 15 wizard or level 16 sorcerer to cast, [[FromBadToWorse this turns Calder into a significant problem just before the finish line.]]
