Magma-swimming Piscine Wyverns that look like a crossbreed between a coelacanth and a Plesioth. ''Frontier 1.5'' introduces a more powerful red-scaled version (actually females during mating season). ''Frontier Forward 5'' introduces two even stronger relatives named Aruganosu and Goruganosu.

* AdaptiveArmor: Over the fight, Zerureusu will crystallize parts of its body depending on which damage type it's taking the most of, removing the biggest weak points of said damage type. However, it can only do this to one body part at a time

* UnstoppableRage: It has a total of ''seven'' different Rage Modes, each with an increasing amount of power. Once it enters them, it won't exit them until you kill or repel it.

A Burst species of Rathalos. Little is known about this monster, other than that it resides in the Tower and uses the Light element. It bears semblance to a Rathalos, but has minor design differences when looked at closely.

A fox-like Flying Wyvern with control over ice, Dyuragaua was a recently discovered species seen residing in an hidden area of the Tower called the Nest Hole, suggesting that it had avoided human contact for a long time. ''Frontier G2'' introduces an even stronger relative with black skin and white crystals covering its body named Mi Ru.

* OneWingedAngel: [[DownplayedTrope Downplayed]], but when Mi-Ru is enraged or close to death, it uses the muscles in its body to change into its final form. However, in comparison to most exammples, it can do this at any time during the fight, but the chances of it happening increase as the fight goes on.

!! Bogabadorumu(Bogbadorm?)

A giant, whale-like Flying Wyvern whose body is covered in tubes that release explosive gas. It is the first Zenith monster that isn't a stronger variant of a pre-existing monster.

* PersonOfMassDestruction: Much like the Alatreon it is seemingly based on, who is already considered a living natural disaster, Disufiroa's mere presence is implied to cause such extreme temperature fluctuations that any biome it chooses to live in turns into a barren wasteland where only it can live safely.

It has two different forms, one of which allows it to use the Fire element and control the Egyurasu, while the other allows it to use the Dragon element and use more destructive attacks. Ruler Guanzorumu is a white and gold Peerless variant that can use both Fire and Dragon simultaneously as a golden flame, and commands more loyal servants that can use similar golden flames.

* FlunkyBoss: Is aided by Egyurasu in battle, although this is little reason to underestimate its freakish strength.

* PlayingWithFire: Its first form uses fire attacks.
* OurDragonsAreDifferent: Greatly resembles European dragons.
* SequentialBoss: It has two different forms, starting out with the first form and shifting into the second form once sufficiently damaged. The first one focuses on using the Fire element and controlling its minions while the second one focuses on using the Dragon element and using more powerful attacks.

* PowerDyesYourHair: Shantien's hair turns [[GoldenSuperMode gold]] in the second phase.

* PurpleIsPowerful: Its markings, wings, and chest spikes turn purple during the final phase of the battle with it, especially in the third phase.

Originally possessing no official classification, Duremudira is a powerful and mysterious Elder Dragon with control over Ice. Little is known about it aside from the fact that it guards the Sky Corridor, and that it can inflict the rare Corrupted Poison condition, which drains your health and lowers your defense at the same time. The Arrogant Duremudira is an Peerless relative that is more aggressive and trades its ice powers for [[ShockAndAwe Thunder]].

* PlayingWithFire: It can unleash highly destructive fiery blasts if its tail and arms heat up completely. Hunters can slow this process down by attacking those parts.

A strange ram-like Elder Dragon with the ability to simultaneously use fire and ice in battle. The left side of its body is covered in fire while the right side is covered in ice. Burning Freezing Eruzerion is a Peerless variant that is much stronger and has further mastery over its elements, including the ability to inflict Extreme statuses.

* FireWaterJuxtaposition: It can use both fire and ice at the same time.

* TheSpook: No one knows where Eruzerion came from, but it was recently found at the tower, and the hunters have to go fight it to gather information.

An airborne Elder Dragon first introduced in Frontier G that can wield Water and Thunder simultaneously to stir up massive storms. You are sent out to research and hunt it, and it attacks you out of territorial behavior. ''Frontier G2'' adds a second stage of the fight where it destroys the Large Exploration Ship you fight it on and sends you into an unknown volcanic area, where you must fight it to the death while it is at full power.

* ArchEnemy: It fiercely fights with Disufiroa over territory though it loses to the mighty Dragon.

* EnergyWeapon: It can shoot ice and fire beams.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: To the Alatreon line as notoriously powerful dragons that can use multiple elements, and are considered living natural disasters due to their unstable power. Notably, although they look very similar, while Alatreon is primarily black and can use all five elements with very little control, Disufiroa is primarily white and can only use three elements, but has considerably more mastery over them.

''Frontier G2'' adds a variant with purple scales and weaponized electricity named Rebidiora.
