[[folder:Verdane]]
!!Dimaggio
->'''Class:''' Axe Fighter

One of Munnir's goons in the invasion of Grannvale. He guards Jungby when Munnir ran off with Adean.
----
* StarterVillain: He's the first boss fought by Sigurd's army, and only slightly stronger than his {{Mooks}}.

!!Gerrard
->'''Class:''' Axe Fighter

Another of Munnir's goons in the invasion of Grannvale. He guards Evans.
----

!!Prince Cimbaeth of Verdane (Kimbois)
->'''Class:''' Warrior

Three of King Batou's sons and the ruler of Castle Genoa. He held Shannan hostage, forcing Ayra to fight for him until Shannan is saved by Sigurd.
----
* BigBrotherBully: Averted in the Nuts Fujimori manga, as Jamke mentions that Cimbaeth treated him kindly when he arrived to the Verdane court.
%%* ButtMonkey
* HeelFaceTurn: The Nuts Fujimori manga has him portrayed as not being deep down a bad guy, and Sigurd, noticing this, gives him mercy on the promise that [[TheAtoner he will atone for his sins]]. Cimbaeth is genuinely moved and promises. This mercy is important as Jamke later fights Sigurd not only because of his father's request, but also because he believes, in a misunderstanding, that Sigurd has killed his beloved brother Cimbaeth in battle.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Fujimori version.
* ThePawn: It's mentioned he was corrupted by Sandima's influence.

!!Prince Munnir of Verdane (Gandolf)
->'''Class:''' Warrior

The eldest of King Batou's sons and the spearhead leader of the Verdane's invasion against Grannvale. He kidnapped Adean of Jungby and retreated back to his castle in Marpha, intending to marry her.
----
* AndNowYouMustMarryMe: Why he kidnaps Adean.
* ButtMonkey: His portrayal in the Nuts Fujimori manga.
* CainAndAbel: He's Jamke's brother.
* EvilUncle: A family tree in one of the Fire Emblem books says he's Jamke's uncle.
* StarterVillain: He is the first antagonist to be faced who led the invasion that kickstarts the plot.
* ThePawn: Mentioned to be as such to Sandima.

!!King Batou of Verdane

The king of Verdane who was deceived by the wicked Lopytian cultist Sandima into declaring war on Grannvale.
----
* AdaptationalBadass: In the Nuts Fujimori manga, ''he's'' the one who takes Sandima out. Of course, he still ultimately dies of his injuries, making this a case of TakingYouWithMe.
* TheGoodKing: Despite Verdane's reputation, it's noted that Batou is respected for being a peace-loving king.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Once he starts listening to the advice of [[ObviouslyEvil Sandima]], Verdane's stability quickly goes downhill. Eventually, Batou ''does'' start to question Sandima's advice and motives... at which point Sandima decides that Batou has become a liability that needs to be eliminated.
* SacrificialLamb: Murdered by Sandima [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness at the first hint of becoming a liability]]. He still somehow clings to life long enough to apologize to Sigurd for Verdane's actions.

!!Lady of the Lake

A mysterious woman who appears by the lake. She gives Lex the Brave Axe if he stands by the cliff with an Iron Axe.
----
* CallBack: She gets mentioned again in ''Thracia 776'', which Halvan's little sister met her in a lakeside, giving her a Brave Axe.
* GuideDangIt: Good luck figuring out about how to get that Brave Axe, which never even hint of this event.
* HonestAxe: The entire event plays to this theme.
* NonSequitur: She has no reason to even exist. But at least the [[InfinityMinusOneSword Brave Axe]] is nice.

!!Deidre's Grandmother
->'''Holy blood:''' Loptyr [Minor]

[[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin Deirdre's grandmother]] living in the Spirit Forest.
----
* CanonForeigner: A character introduced in the Oosawa manga.
* MindRape: [[spoiler:She was inflicted by dark magic by Manfroy when he tortured her for Cigyun's daughter's identity.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Agustria]]
!!Lord Eldigan of Nordion ''(Eltshan, Eltoshan)''
->'''Class:''' Paladin
->'''Holy blood:''' Hezul [Major]

Lord of House Nordion and one of Sigurd's best friends. When Agustria went into civil war, he was imprisoned by the newly king Chagall. He is the inheritor of the Demon Blade Mystletainn, and the father of Ares.
----
* AncestralWeapon: Mysteltainn, which he then passes down onto Ares.
* BadassBoast: As an enemy unit, and rightfully so:
-->"This is the Demon Sword, Mystletainn. If you don't wish to become its prey, then don't come anywhere near me..."
* BlackKnight: Comes with wielding the Mystletainn.
* BonusBoss: Fighting him in chapter 3 is avoidable: if you have Raquesis talk to him he will depart the battlefield (and give her a magic sword!). If you insist, heh, boy are you in for a fight.
* BrotherSisterIncest: In the Oosawa manga he and Raquesis ''are'' in love with each other.
* ConflictingLoyalty: He'll prioritize his country above all else, but he's still not happy to have to fight his friends in the process.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: Whether slain by Sigurd's army, or executed by Chagall for not dying to Sigurd's army, he maintains his knightly bearing throughout.
* AFriendInNeed: In Ch. 1, he defends Evan Castle from Elliot on Sigurd's behalf.
* HeroicLineage: Of the Hezul bloodline.
* HonorBeforeReason: After all of the crap Chagall put him through, he still insists on serving him because a knight is loyal to his liege.
* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: He refuses to believe that Chagall would go as far as to kill his own father until Chagall himself confirms it. Even then, he still side with him because he's the last of the royal family, despite many people wishing Eldigan to be king.
* KnightInShiningArmor: Personality and class-wise, he fits this to a T. Unfortunately for him, he lives in a very cynical world where maintaining this attitude is [[SacrificialLion ultimately disastrous for him]].
* LawfulStupid: See HonorBeforeReason.
* MyCountryRightOrWrong: Although he's a close friend to Sigurd and Quan, Agustria--[[MyMasterRightOrWrong and therefore its king]]--will always take precedence for him.
* OffWithHisHead: [[spoiler: If you avoid killing him in chapter 3, by having Raquesis talk to him, Chagall beheads him.]]
* OfferedTheCrown: In the Oosawa manga. He refuses.
* RedBaron: Lionheart Eldigan/Lion King Eltshan
* SacrificialLion: Yeah, he's not making it to the end alive. Fits ''right'' in with his title "Lion King Eltshan".
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Eltosian, Eltshan, and Eltoshan, with the nicknames Elto and Elty as well. ''Awakening'' names him Eldigan.
* TheWisePrince: He's well aware of how the people will suffer during times of war.

!!Eve, Eva, and Alva
->'''Class:''' Paladin

Three members of the Cross Knights who are the escorts to Princess Raquesis while Eldigan was away to meet with Chagall. Eve is the father of Tristan and Janne.
----
* ArtificialStupidity: Instead of defending Raquesis as they should, they charge straight into the enemy when they are at range.
* EscortMission: While they are protecting Raquesis, their survival gives you the Knight Ring which gives the Canto skill to the holder. But good luck trying to keep them alive while [[LeeroyJenkins they gungho to the enemy lines and get themselves killed.]] To avert this, you have to bench Raquesis on the whole chapter, and weakening her for future chapters. [[MortonsFork Both paths aren't easy.]]
* RedShirt: Yeah, pretty much no chance any of them will make it to the end of the chapter. Can be done if you keep Raquesis far enough from a pool from enemies.

!!Elliot of Heirhein
->'''Class:''' Duke Knight

Son of Boldor. He tried to take Evans Castle in Chapter 1, only to be stopped by Eldigan and the Cross Knights. He returns in Chapter 2, where he attempts to take Nordion.
----
* ButtMonkey: In Mitsuki Oosawa's manga, where he tries ''too hard'' to make Raquesis pay for every time she has put him through shame, ever since they were kids. [[spoiler:[[CrowningMomentOfFunny All of his plots fail spectacularly due to Eldigan's intervention or due to his own stupidity or weakness]].]]
** Not surprisingly, it's also his portrayal in Nuts Fujimori's parody-ridden manga.
* OverlordJr: The son of the villain Boldor. You fight both of them in his second appearance.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Oosawa version, via ButtMonkey designation.
* UnknownRival: Has a one-sided hatred of Eldigan.
* VillainousCrush: On Raquesis.

!!Phillip
->'''Class:''' General

A general of Heirhein who leads a defensive line, preventing anyone from reaching Heirhein.
----
* AdaptedOut: Oosawa version.

!!Lord Boldor of Heirhein (Boldo)
->'''Class:''' General

Lord of Heirhein and father of Elliot. He orders Elliot to take Nordion to take revenge for being humiliated by Eldigan.
----
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Oosawa manga, via using Elliot to force a truce from Heirhein.

!!Voltz
->'''Class:''' Forrest Knight

A mercenary hired by Macbeth.
----
* {{Foreshadowing}}: He and Beowulf have a brief conversation early in the chapter about how as merenaries, they might be on opposite sides some day.
* ForgottenFallenFriend: A friend and maybe even mentor of Beowulf who doesn't come with him when he's hired by Sigurd. Although he did say that Beowulf can do as he wish, as long as he gets paid. He even anticipated that he might fight Beowulf one day, and he took it into consideration.
* PunchClockVillain: As he says himself as a Mercenary you work for a lot of different clients regardless of ideology.

!!Lord Macbeth of Anphony
->'''Class:''' General

A greedy lord of Anphony. He sent bandits to pillage the villages near and hired Beowulf and Voltz to fight against Sigurd's army.
----
* AdiposeRex: Is a Noble, and is overweight.
* FatBastard: His appearance is of a chubby elderly man wearing fancy clothes. He's noticeably more corrupt then other Lords.
* KickTheDog: Is first seen sending bandits to rob from his own subjects.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Oosawa version.
* StoutStrength: Despite being obese, he's an armor knight with decent stats.

!!Lord Clement of Mackily
->'''Class:''' Bishop

Lord of Mackily. He was neutral toward Sigurd's army until Anphony was taken and he took up arms.
----
* AntiVillain: There's not anything particularly evil about him; he just sees Sigurd fighting his friends Macbeth and Boldor, who ''did'' have it coming, and assumes he must be a bad guy.
* FatBastard: Averted, he's comparatively less corrupt than the other villains.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Oosawa version again, though this time in [[SugarWiki/CrowningMomentOfAwesome one of the greatest scenes in the manga]].

!!Zyne
->'''Class:''' Duke Knight

A commander of the cavalry in Agusty.
----
* AntiVillain: In Oosawa's manga, where his personality is fleshed out as a very sympathetic and patriotic captain. It makes you feel sorry for him the next time that you face him in the game.
* AscendedExtra: Oosawa version.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: [[spoiler:Sigurd's.]]
%%* EyesAlwaysShut
* PatrioticFervor: "Nothing more noble than dying for the motherland!"
* PaletteSwap: Infamous for the amount of times his portrait was used for other bosses.
** The fanbase goes on to call the rest of the palette swaps as "Harolds" or Harold clones despite Zyne being the first one to use this portrait.
* TheMenFirst: [[spoiler:Again, in Oosawa's manga, he makes his men stand back to confront [[CombatByChampion Sigurd alone in a duel,]] so that they may keep on living.]]

!!King Imuka of Agustria

The king of Agustria before the events of Chapter 2. He was murdered by his own son, Chagall.
----
* TheGoodKing: He was loved by his people, in which one of the villagers say that he has a good soul. He also desire a peaceful co-existance with Grannvale, and kept the more power-hungry lords in check. Tellingly, when Chagall murdered him, everything goes to hell for the villagers now that the power hungry lords can do whatever they want to terrorize the villagers.

!!King Chagall of Agustria ''(Shagall, Shagaal)''
->'''Class:''' Baron

The newly king of Agustria, who was manipulated by Manfroy to murder his father and take his throne.
----
* BadBoss: Even though Eldigan is one of the best subordinates you could ask for, Chagall really doesn't treat him appropriately.
* TheCaligula: Ended the direct royal line of Hezul with his warmongering, and incompetence.
* DisneyVillainDeath: In the Manga, Falls off the top of Silvail Castle and either hits the ground or gets eaten by Trabant's wyvern. The angle isn't clear enough.
* TheEvilPrince: Unlike his father, he's an incompetent and cruel RoyalBrat easily manipulated by the likes of Manfroy.
* HateSink: You'll be hard-pressed to see someone who sympathizes him, and it's most likely intentional. In spite of Manfroy's manipulation, Chagall is by himself self-serving, greedy, makes Agustria suffer despite his peace-loving father, and treats Eldigan like crap [[spoiler:and eventually had him executed for petty reasons]]. No one is going to pity him while he wails on his Agustria's future on death.
* SelfMadeOrphan: Manfroy manipulated him into killing his dad for power.
* SmugSnake: Part of the Michalis archetype.
* UngratefulBastard: Eldigan rescued him from Sigurd, despite having been thrown in the dungeon, and continues to be loyal and supportive of his rule despite the many reasons he shouldn't. Chagall [[spoiler:has him beheaded.]]
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Chagall has a horribly wrinkled face for someone his age.

!!Jacoban
->'''Class:''' Forrest

A mercenary hired by Chagall, who was ordered to watch over Madino.
----
* ShockAndAwe: He comes with a Thunder Sword and is not afraid to call upon its power...
* TheWorfEffect: Oosawa manga has him getting one-shotted by Tailtiu in her introduction by shoving him a higher class thunder spell: Thoron.

!!Lady Grahnye of Nordion

The wife of Eldigan and the mother of Ares. Hailing from Leonster, she and Ares leave under Eldigan's orders when Agustria went into civil war. She was later killed by the invading Grannvale.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: Her identity is revealed in the ''Fire Emblem Complete.''
* DerailingLoveInterests: The Oosawa manga, instead of featuring her, uses an {{Expy}} named Iria. And it's clear that Oosawa '''really''' hates said expy, as she's portrayed as a RichBitch who loathes Raquesis and acts like a ClingyJealousGirl when around Eldigan. Since Oosawa ships Eldigan/Raquesis, well...
* MissingMom: She was killed during the invasion of the Manster District by Grannvale.
* PrincessesPreferPink: In the one Picture we see of her.
%%* TheOjou
* PosthumousCharacter: [[spoiler:We only see her in one illustration, but never in the game. According to Ares, Grahnye was killed when Leonster was invaded.]]
* SatelliteLoveInterest: Pretty much exists so Eldigan can have Ares, she's never even mentioned in the game aside from a vague line by her son.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: Apparently, Raquesis was originally going to be the mother of Ares…
** Also ironically, [[http://serenesforest.net/general/designers-notes/holy-war/shouzou-kagas-comments/ according to Shouzou Kaga's notes about Raquesis]], after the latter returned to her post-Belhalla, Grahnye was supposed to be venomous at her, disliking both her and Sigurd, which might be more in-line with her {{Expy}} in the Oosawa manga, Iria. Granted, probably Grahnye loved Eldigan very much and the two kind of caused his death so she had her justifications.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Thracia]]
!!King Travant of Thracia ''(Trabant)''
->'''Class:''' Dragon Master
->'''Holy blood:''' Dain [Major]

The king of Thracia who desired a strong future of Thracia. He is willing to commit any crimes to do so, including the [[spoiler:infamous Yied Massacre and the invasion of Leonster]].
----
* AbusiveParents: [[spoiler:While more ambiguous in the game up until the point where Altena starts having doubts, the Nea Fuyuki manga suggests that he was rather cruel to her while she was growing up.]]
* AdaptationalHeroism: The Oosawa manga tones down his more ruthless, smug, opportunistic attitude, making him a more conflicted man, especially when he developed feelings to Ethlyn. He also did not give the order to take Altenna hostage (another rider did that on his own volition) or tell Quan to drop the Gae Bolg for her safety (he did it on his own volition), and his decision to adopt Altenna was more about to honor Ethlyn's death rather than an opportunity to use Gae Bolg for his own ends. He's still a villain, but not an utter bastard like in the original. He ultimately decides his own death in the manga, leaning into Leaf's sword with the intention of ending everything.
* AmbitionIsEvil: Becomes this by default.
* AncestralWeapon: Gungnir.
%%* AntiVillain:
* BadBoss: [[IHaveYourWife Kidnaps the kid]] of his own General due to the worry that he'd turn traitor.
* DragonRider: His Dragon is pure black in the battle animations.
* FaceDeathWithDignity: By the time Seliph and co. actually get to fight him, Travant is well aware that his end has come, seeing as how he passes Gungnir onto Arion before heading out to battle.
* HeelRealization: In ''Thracia 776'', Travant says he's aware that his crimes have damned him to hell, but it'll be worth it if it moves Thracia out of its CrapsackWorld status.
-->"My wish is to rebuild Thracia into that prosperous nation that Dain and Noba created. ...And if that process dooms me to Hell, then so be it.”
* HeroicLineage: Of the Dain bloodline.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler:Killing Quan]], considering how much [[spoiler:Quan]] tried his best and yet still messed up. In fact, by doing this, he essentially managed to fulfill both his own and [[spoiler:Quan's]] dream.
** And if it wasn't for him jumping the gun on forcing Hannibal's loyalty via kidnapping Coirpre/Charlot, Hannibal most likely never would have [[HeelFaceTurn joined with Seliph's army]] at all, ''and'' Coirpre/Charlot wouldn't have joined either.
%%* TallDarkAndSnarky
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He'll do absolutely '''anything''' to save his beloved Thracia, [[CrapsackWorld which has gone through horribly hard times]]. By '''anything''', we mean: first, he [[spoiler:ambushes and kills Quan and Ethlyn in the worst and cruelest way possible, taking their daughter Altena hostage to raise her on his own so she can use the Gáe Bolg sacred lance for him]]; and 17 years later, he [[spoiler:uses poor Coirpre/Charlot as a hostage to force Hannibal to work for him.]]
* XanatosGambit: A rather clever one, possibly. [[spoiler:If his plan regarding Thracia worked, Thracia will be ruled by his much more well liked children, Arion (biological) and Altena (adopted, sort-of) and hopefully be able to move from its CrapsackWorld state. In the story, his plan failed and Leif becomes the one who united Thracia, which is Quan's dream. However, Arion survived by the end of the game, and Thracia is able to move from its CrapsackWorld state all the same. It should be noted that by killing Quan, the entirety of Thracia view him and Ethlyn as a tragic hero, giving Leif a much more favorable position for the claim of the throne.]]
* YouKilledMyFather: From [[spoiler:Leif ''and'' Altena.]]

!!Papilon
->'''Class:''' Dragon Knight

A leader of the group of Thracian knights in Agustria.
----
* DemotedToExtra: Not that he was important to begin with, but the Oosawa manga has Travant fighting alongside him in her rendition of Chapter 3.
* PaletteSwap: Of Zyne.

!!Magorn
->'''Class:''' Dragon Master

One of the Thracian knights who accompanied Travant in [[spoiler:the Yied Massacre. He leads the remaining forces to attack Sigurd's group when Travant left with Altena and the Gae Bolg.]]
----
* PaletteSwap: Yep, Zyne again.
* JustFollowingOrders: His boss quote.

!!Prince Arion of Thracia (Areone)
->'''Class:''' Dragon Master
->'''Holy blood:''' Dain [Major]

The son of King Travant and the inheritor of the Gungnir.
----
* AncestralWeapon: In Ch. 9, he inherits Gungnir from Travant.
* AntiVillain: Very kind and gentle, but he ''happens'' to be Travant's son and heir as well as a powerful enemy thanks to being the only one aside of Travant able to use the very powerful Gungnir.
* ArrangedMarriage: Revealed to be engaged to Linoan in ''Thracia 776''.
* {{Bishonen}}: Particularly in the Nea Fuyuki manga. You'd be forgiven for thinking that shot of him when he was younger was of a girl.
* BladeOnAStick: The [[InfinityPlusOneSword Gungnir]].
* DragonRider: His mount is pitch black like his father's.
* {{Expy}}: Parallels [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAkaneia Michalis']] role as the female Wyvern Rider's close relative/[[IncestIsRelative love interest]] that [[CainAndAbel ends up antagonistic in the end]]. [[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Gale]] takes up the role again two games later.
* HeroicLineage: Of the Dain bloodline.
* HonorBeforeReason: An antagonistic example. After [[spoiler:Travant's death and his succession as king of Thracia, he refuses a truce with Seliph and co. out of Thracian pride. Lewyn even notes that he'd been hoping, after all that's been said about Arion, that he'd be more reasonable.]]
* JerkassFacade: He pretends to turn on Altena and kill her in order to protect her from Travant.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: The Nea Fuyuki manga portrays him as being this for Altena, having been the only person to be kind to her while she was growing up.
* MadScientistsBeautifulDaughter: It's even pointed out by a villager that he's much nicer than his father Travant.
* MyCountryRightOrWrong: Loyal to Thracia (and, by association, Travant) above all else. This tends to put him into conflict with Altena.
* PrivateMilitaryContractors: As is common for Thracia's Dragon Knights. [[spoiler:Specifically, Julius hires his services for the final chapter.]]
* StarCrossedLovers: He and Altena. [[spoiler:Though she can recruit him in the Final Chapter, albeit as an allied unit rather than a player unit.]]
* TallDarkandHandsome
* UndyingLoyalty: He always sides with his father, even when privately disagreeing with him. [[spoiler:It's only in the final chapter that Altena finally persuades him to let go of Travant's desires and act according to what he believes in instead.]]
* WorthyOpponent: He'll consider Seliph as such if the two fight.

!!Coruta
->'''Class:''' Dragon Knight

A Thracian knight who was ordered by Travant to retake Manster.
----

!!Maikov
->'''Class:''' General

A general in charge of defending Mease from Seliph's army.
----

!!Kanatz
->'''Class:''' General

A general in charge of defending Kapathogia while Hannibal led the attack.
----
* AntiVillain: He's a friend of Hannibal and is only fighting because he doesn't want Hannibal's son to die.
* PaletteSwap: Of Phillip.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: If Seliph rescues Coirpre/Charlot and recruits Hannibal without killing Kanatz, he'll just disappear.

!!Disler
->'''Class:''' General

The general in charge of Luthecia. He is entrusted by Travant to watch over Coirpre/Charlot to prevent Hannibal from rebelling.
----
* IHaveYourWife: Travant entrusted him with Coirpre/Charlot, who keeps watch over him until you defeat him and capture the castle. However, if you've killed Hannibal, Coirpre/Charlot will run away offscreen and never join the Liberation Army.
* NumberTwo: To Travant
* PaletteSwap: Of Boldor.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Orgahill Pirates]]
!!Dobarl ''(Duvall)''
->'''Class:''' Warrior

Member of the Orgahill Pirates. Annoyed by Briggid's stances against pillaging, he lead a bunch of pirates to raid behind her back and later declare mutiny on her.
----
* {{Pirate}}: Which is why he betrays Briggid.
* RapePillageAndBurn: Is annoyed that Briggid won't let him loot villiages and does it behind her back anyway.
* StrawMisogynist: Doesn't like being under the orders of Briggid. Though this might be less about Briggid being a woman and more about her not letting him be a {{Pirate}}.
%%* SmugSnake

!!Pizarl
->'''Class:''' Warrior

Member of the Orgahill Pirates. He supports Dobarl's mutiny and lead a group of pirates to pillage Agustria.
----
%%* {{Pirate}}:
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Silesse (Silesia)]]
!!Queen Rahna of Silesse ''(Lahna)''

The queen of Silesse and the mother of Lewyn.
----
* DeterminedWidow: Does what's in her hands to keep Silesse stable after losing her husband/Lewyn's dad (and the one with major Forseti blood).
%%* TheHighQueen
* PaletteSwap: Curiously, of the Lady of the Lake in Lex's HonestAxe incident.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: She's pretty levelheaded and does what she can for Silesse

!!Annand (Mahnya)
->'''Class:''' Falcon Knight

Captain of the Pegasus Knights squadron and the older sister of Ferry. [[spoiler:She soon perished by Pamela and the aid of Andrei and the Beige Ritters.]]
----
* TheAce: Ferry looks up to her big time.
* CoolBigSis: To Ferry.
* FirstLove: It's implied in some conversations that Lewyn was in love with her when he was young.
%%* LadyOfWar
* SacrificialLamb: Her death is one of the biggest catalysts of the tragedy that's about to come.
%%* WomanInWhite
* YouMonster: To Pamela, whose betrayal enrages her.

!!Maios
->'''Class:''' Baron

One of Lewyn's uncles and the leader of Thove. He joined Daccar in a rebellion to claim Silesse.
----
* EvilUncle: To Lewyn.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: For some reason, despite being brother to Lewyn's father and king of Silesse, he doesn't possess Minor Forseti blood. Either an oversight since Baron has A rank (the highest rank in this game, aside from Star rank) in Wind magic or [[AWizardDidIt blood inheritance is weird]].
* PaletteSwap: Strangely, of... Elliot.

!!Deet'var ''(Deetver, Dietova, Dithorba)''
->'''Class:''' Falcon Knight

One of Silesse's Pegasus Knight captains who supports Maios in his rebellion. She is the mother of Misha in ''Thracia 776.''
----
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Is less creepy looking in artwork.
* DarkActionGirl
%%* FaceHeelTurn
%%* WhatHaveIDone: Her FamousLastWords.
%%* WomanInWhite.

!!Cuvuli
->'''Class:''' Bishop

A bishop under Maios's command.
----
* PaletteSwap: Of one of the two Loptyrian Sect portraits. [[EpilepticTrees Whether this is coincidence or not is anybody's guess]].

!!Daccar
->'''Class:''' Baron

Lewyn's uncle and the leader of Zaxon. He lead the rebellion to claim the throne of Silesse.
----
* AmbitionIsEvil: According to the Oosawa manga, since Rahna says he wasn't an asshole from the start.
* AscendedExtra: Gets twice the characterization he did in-game via the Oosawa manga.
* AntiVillain: [[spoiler:Only in the Oosawa manga, due to a surprisingly sympathetic death scene.]]
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:He says that he does this also out of revenge against his elder brother.]]
* DriventoSuicide: [[spoiler:Oosawa manga only.]]
* EvilUncle: To Lewyn.
* GameplayAndStorySegregation: Similar reason to Maios.
* KickTheDog: [[spoiler:Slapping Pamela in the manga, since she's a sympathetic AntiVillain there.]]
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: [[spoiler:In the Oosawa manga. When Lewyn performs in front of him and Rahna, with a bit of prodding from the Forseti tome and the bits of powers that Forseti the dragon poured through it, Daccar sees the errors of his ways... and after recognizing how far gone he had been, he stabs himself to atone for his evil deeds [[DiedInYourArmsTonight and dies in Lewyn's arms]].]]
* PaletteSwap: Of Boldor.

!!Pamela
->'''Class:''' Falcon Knight

Silesse's Pegasus Knight captain under Daccar's command. She lead a charge to Sailane and later to reclaim Thove.
----
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Just like Deet'var. Even more in the Oosawa manga, where she's actually drawn ''different'' from Deetvar via getting a BoyishShortHair.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Is depicted as more sympathetic in the Oosawa manga, showing some remorse for killing Annand. By comparison, the game version of Pamela was a PsychoForHire who bragged about killing Annand in her boss quote with Lewyn and Ferry.
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: The Oosawa manga adds this as her other motivation, having her tell [[spoiler:Ferry]] that she [[spoiler:never could surpass Annand in life, and asking her to kill her.]]
* AmbitionIsEvil: As soon as Rahna's position was seriously threatened, Pamela betrayed her in hopes of becoming the top Falcoknight. She openly admits it when [[spoiler:she kills Annand.]]
* AntagonistInMourning: In the Oosawa manga. To the point of [[spoiler:personally [[PietaPlagiarism carrying Annand's lifeless body]] to Queen Rahna and giving her Annand's Silver Lance instead of taking it for herself.]]
* AntiVillain: In the Oosawa manga, she's given a somewhat more expanded role and a surprisingly sympathetic portrayal. See [[spoiler:AntagonistInMourning]].
* AscendedExtra: In the Oosawa manga. See Daccar.
* DeathSeeker: [[spoiler:Refers to herself as such in the Oosawa manga.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: In the Oosawa manga, she [[spoiler:cannot bring herself to desecrate Annand's body via cutting her head off and sending her to the enemy, and when Andrey points it out, she gets ''pissed''.]]

* AntiVillain: Type III.
* TheBadGuyWins: [[spoiler:While he is a BigBadWannabe, he got what he wanted.]]
* BaitTheDog: Early in the game, he's presented as a very aloof but nonetheless powerful ally on Sigurd's side, supporting his cause. Even after Lombard and Reptor rallied to hunt Sigurd and declaring him traitor, Arvis kept a cool head and stayed by Azmur's side, showing no signs of downright antagonism. It's eventually topped with [[spoiler:suddenly turning his back against Reptor and killing him when Sigurd needed it the most, and declared that Sigurd was innocent. * BigBadWannabe: [[spoiler:Though he may look to be the big bad guy of the story, the true villains were always Manfroy and Loptyr.]]
** Subverted though, as his intentions were never that of a Big Bad. People confuse this because he [[spoiler:killed Sigurd]], but that aside, none of his intentions were ever directed to him wanting to be a villain. He wanted to be the exact opposite, but The Lopt Sect taking over made ''him'', as the ruler in gen 2, look like he condoned their presence when he simply didn't have enough power to remove them, the latter of which he states in chapter ten.
* BreakTheHaughty: To the point where [[IWasQuiteALooker it ages him HORRIBLY]].

* AChildShallLeadThem: He succeeded his father as the Duke of Velthomer at the age of seven. He technically did it more or less well, though he was also seen as cold and iron-fisted.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: It's undeniable that the man's life ''sucked balls'' ever since he was a child. ''Especially'' in the Oosawa manga, which delves a lot into his past.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler:Hates the child hunts so much that he comes up with a BatmanGambit to thwart them with Ishtar's help.]]
* EvilRedhead: Well, Extremely Morally Ambiguous Redhead, at any rate.

* HeManWomanHater: Was this in his past, due to his JerkAss father's philandering [[spoiler:and his mom Cigyun's disappearance]]. When this happened, young Arvis had all of his dad's mistresses kicked out of the Velthomer court save for Azelle's mother, and except for Aida, he became very bitter towards ladies. [[spoiler:Until Deirdre came along, that is.]]

* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:He possibly would have managed to truly unify Grannvale, or at least have Velthomer take the lead spot for the greater good, if not for Manfroy's manipulations finally turning his Empire into tyranny.]]
* {{Yandere}}: Arguably, [[spoiler:for Deirdre.]] That would certainly explain why [[spoiler:he brought her BrainwashedAndCrazy self to Sigurd's presence to show off how she was ''his'' wife now, before killing him]], though [[http://serenesforest.net/general/designers-notes/holy-war/playing-guide/ the game's playing guide]] suggests that it was more about [[spoiler:testing Deirdre's reaction to Sigurd, having heard rumors that Sigurd's wife had gone missing in Agustria around the same time he met Deirdre]].

!!Duke Lombard of Dozel ''(Langobalt, Langbart)''
->'''Class:''' Baron
->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] Neir [Major]

A greedy lord of Dozel and the father of Danann and Lex. He joined Reptor's coalition opposing the Prince's authority. [[spoiler:He killed Prince Kurth and framed Sigurd and Byron for his death.]]
----
* AmbitionIsEvil: Like Reptor, he wanted power which is being undermined by Kurth. He was also first described as avaricious.
* AncestralWeapon: The Helswath/Swanchika.
* AnAxeToGrind: The Helswath/Swanchika.
* ArchnemesisDad: For Lex, who will express regret that it's come to this.
%%* BeardOfEvil
* DrivenByEnvy: Why he does things: He's jealous that House Dozel got shafted in favor of House Chalpy. The Mitsuki Oosawa manga expands this further: he used to be a normal, loving dad to Lex, but the moment Lex inquires about his jealousy, Lombard started to act cold toward him which stayed that way until the end. Likewise, it expands further of his jealousy: Lombard thought that all Crusaders were treated as equals, thinking it wasn't fair if their descendants suddenly had favorites. Deconstructed in the game as this caused Lewyn to mark Lombard as the start of disgrace of House Dozel, as his predecessors probably did not mind such favoritism, so his envy and desire for equality marks the start of the disgrace of his otherwise perfectly fine house.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Expresses disgust at Andrey's killing of his own father, since Lombard actually respected Ring.
%%* EvilOldFolks
* HeroicLineage: Of the Neir bloodline, hence why he can wield Helswath. Not so heroic in his case, though.

The duke of Freege and the father of Bloom, Tailtiu, and Ethnia. He leads a coalition opposing the Prince's authority and [[spoiler:later conspired with Lombard in obtaining power over Grannvale.]]
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: Perhaps one of the bigger ones in the Oosawa manga. [[spoiler:Reptor regretted his rash actions for ambitions and then did all he can to keep Tailtiu safe, and culminated in a HeroicSacrifice.]]
* AmbitionIsEvil - EvilChancellor: He already had a very high position in the Empire, but wanted more than that.
-->'''Reptor''' (to [[spoiler:Sigurd]]): "Hmph, you idiot! Politics is all about power! Your father had no power, which is why he died."
* AncestralWeapon: Mjolnir.
* ArchnemesisDad: For Tailtiu [[spoiler:and Ethnia]]. In fact, he's one of the few who can scare the living SHIT out of the usually fearless Tailtiu. Averted in the Oosawa manga: instead of being antagonistic, he's still a loving, conflicted father. Tailtiu only ''thought'' that he sneaked her to Sigurd's army as a mole to further his agenda, but then was proven wrong.
* ClimaxBoss: [[spoiler:The last enemy you fight in Gen 1.]]
* TheComputerIsACheatingBastard: Given a full 30 magic stat for a class that caps it at 22. He was [[WhatCouldHaveBeen originally]] going to be a ''Sage'' who has a 30 Magic cap, but the developers either forgot to change it or intentionally left it as is.
%%* EvilOldFolks
* HeelFaceDoorSlam: In the Oosawa manga, Reptor was actually serious to turn himself in to Azmur, admit his crimes of killing Kurth and Ring and framing Byron and Sigurd for it, and owe up to his crimes, all thanks to Tailtiu calling him out. Unfortunately, the condition required him to surrender his Mjolnir to Aida on the premise that it will be passed down to Bloom later... [[spoiler:and that's the time Aida, on the order of Arvis, backstabbed Reptor, thus at a time he would not have the luxury of Mjolnir's blessings.]]
* HeroicLineage: Of the Tordo bloodline. Like Lombard, he himself isn't nearly as heroic as his ancestor. However, in the Oosawa manga, at the end of his life, [[spoiler:he proved his heroism, telling Azelle to take care of Tailtiu and then showing himself to the pursuers, gladly giving his life for both of them.]]
* HeroicSacrifice: In the Oosawa manga, [[spoiler:he told Azelle to take care of Tailtiu and then confronted his pursuers so they wouldn't hunt down his daughter. Just shortly before, he prayed for Tordo to just take his life instead of his daughter's for his punishment of letting his ambition fly over his head, and his chance came.]]
%%* HighClassGlass
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: In the Oosawa manga, after being confronted by Tailtiu who accused him of just using her and dropping her on Sigurd's ranks just to further his ambition, Reptor has this reaction, realizing [[AmbitionIsEvil how far he has fallen for the sake of ambition.]]
* PetTheDog: Subverted. Reptor was visibly crushed when he faced Tailtiu in battle, blaming Claud for 'tricking her', meaning that there could be a chance that he genuinely loved her as a father. But then, he decided that the Freege house name comes first, so he'll kill her without hesitation. This is instead played straight in the Oosawa manga, after all those he's ''still'' a loving father to Tailtiu and wasn't even thinking to kill her off for the Freege house name. [[spoiler:Too bad Aida decided that she'll roast him right around the reunion.]]
* PsychoElectro: The Mjolnir tome that Bloom and Ishtar wield? It's originally ''his'' weapon.

->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] Ulir [Minor]

The son of Duke Ring of Jungby. [[spoiler:He killed him in order to take control over Jungby.]]
----
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: He isn't ''that'' ugly in-game, but is more of a LongHairedPrettyBoy [[http://images.wikia.com/fireemblem/images/4/49/Andorey.jpg in official art.]]
** Similarly, in [[http://www.mangahere.com/manga/fire_emblem_seisen_no_keifu/v05/c034/26.html the Oosawa manga]] he's a straight up case of DudeLooksLikeALady[=/=]LongHairedPrettyBoy.
* AdaptedOut: Fujimori version.
* AmbitionIsEvil: His ambition to rule Jungby.
* CainAndAbel: Briggid and Adean's evil younger brother.
* DeathSeeker: His characterization in the Oosawa manga, portraying him as someone who is crushed under the pressure of being better than Briggid to the point that he wanted to make Briggid hate him enough so she'd kill him and release him from that burden. [[spoiler:He gets what he wanted.]]
* HeroicLineage: Of the Ulir bloodline, and like those above him, not quite as heroic as his ancestors ''or'' siblings.
* HorseArcher: His class allows him to shoot on horseback.
* PoliticallyIncorrectVillain: Is made a HeManWomanHater in the manga, especially when [[spoiler:he mocks what remains of Pamela's honor and openly tells her that women are only there to physically pleasure men.]]
* SelfMadeOrphan: Killed his own father for power. [[EvenEvilHasStandards Not even his fellow conspirators liked that.]]
* SmugSnake: He's such an asshole, even ''other'' Smug Snakes dislike him.
* UsedToBeASweetKid: According to Briggid, in the Oosawa manga.
-->'''Briggid''': When I delve into my memories of him, I see him smiling like a little angel... So why would he do such a thing like killing our father to take over as the head of the family?
** [[WordOfGod The notes of Shouzou Kaga]] also supports this, portraying Andrey as a [[ShrinkingViolet timid and scaredy-cat boy]] during the day the Jungby house lost Briggid. He certainly [[TookALevelInBadass becomes braver in the future]], but [[TookALevelInJerkass at cost of his conscience]].

* MissingMom -> PosthumousCharacter: [[spoiler:If Tailtiu doesn't marry, she takes her place as a SacrificialLamb who's tortured to death by Hilda and becomes this to Linda and Amid. She also does NOT appear in the game whatsoever, only mentioned by Amid and Linda.]]
* NamesTheSame: With the Queen of Alster, Miranda's deceased mother. It's been speculated that they may have been intended to be the same person, but the 20th Anniversary book doesn't seem to support it.
* TheOjou: A straighter example than her sister, given that she's more quiet and appears to be more ladylike, but she still [[spoiler:runs off to join Sigurd's army if Tailtiu is killed]].
* SiblingYinYang: Ethnia is said to be the more quiet compared to [[GenkiGirl Tailtiu]].

!!Duke Danann of Dozel

The son of Duke Lombard and the father of Brian, Iuchar, and Iucharba. He was appointed King of Isaach when the Grannvale Empire placed an occupation force in the kingdom.
----
* ArchnemesisDad: To his sons, Iuchar or Iucharba, depending on who is recruited.
* AvengingTheVillain: He wants Seliph dead, because Sigurd killed his father.
* AnAxeToGrind: Being a member of Dozel, he obviously specializes in axes.
* TheCaligula: When Arvis conquered the entire continent for Grannvale, the countries were divvied up between the Grannvalian nobles and Danann got Isaach, which it's mentioned he's running straight into the ground by the time the second generation starts.
* HeroicLineage: Of the Neir bloodline, but one of the few cases who doesn't get to use his family's AncestralWeapon (Helswath, in his case). However, this is because his eldest son, Brian, has it in his possession, as seen in the final chapter.
* KickTheDog: If one can count making the entire country suffer a massive dog kicking.
* PuppetKing: Danann isn't a puppet himself, but he does run Arvis's puppet regime in Isaach after deposing the rightful royal family.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: In the Nea Fuyuki version, Seliph manages to recruit both Iuchar and Iucharba, which gives them enough troops to surround his castle and force him to surrender.
* ThisIsUnforgivable: Received the end of it by Seliph for making the people suffer.
* UnderestimatingBadassery: He thinks that Oifey and Shannan are the most concerning of the Liberation Army. Seliph and his friends proved him otherwise.
* WarmUpBoss: He is your first major boss in Generation 2, and since he is an axe user while most of your units use swords or ranged weapons (which he lacks on the latter), he is easy to kill.
* YouKilledMyFather: Invoked when fighting Seliph.

!!Duke Bloom of Freege ''(Bloome, Blume)''
->'''Class:''' Baron
->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] Tordo [Major]

Son of Duke Reptor and the brother of Tailtiu. He was appointed in the occupation of the Manster District. He is married to Hilda and the father of Ishtore and Ishtar.
----
* AntiVillain: Very hard to see as he rules like a tyrant and makes people suffer, but [[EvenEvilHasStandards he possesses some standards, especially about Child Hunts,]] and it is hinted that he's quite kind to Teeny even if he looked like a controlling stepfather. Most likely he's only doing all those in order to preserve the Freege House's reputation rather than outright malice/evil.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Doesn't like the [[spoiler:child hunts]], even though he doesn't protest about them.
* HeroicLineage: Of the Tordo bloodline, but like his father before him, a now villainous example.
* PetTheDog: Does care for Teeny (or Linda), though he is controlling towards her.
** Through WhatCouldHaveBeen, he would have more based on Kaga's notes: [[spoiler:While he left Tailtiu to die, he would still give her a proper burial by putting her in an ice coffin and sent the coffin to Silesse, which was later used by Claud to resurrect her at cost of his life. [[WhatCouldHaveBeen Alas indeed]].]]
* PsychoElectro: The Mjolnir/Thor Hammer in Chapter 7; switched to Bolting and Thoron in Chapter 8.
* PuppetKing: See Danann, but for Manster.
* UnholyMatrimony: With Hilda. In fact, he and Arvis are the only bad guys whose wives are seen.

!!Duchess Hilda of Freege
->'''Class:''' Queen
->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] Fala [Minor] (It's listed as Dain [Major] in the last chapter, but this is due to a glitch).

The wife of Duke Bloom and the mother of Ishtore and Ishtar and sister-in-law to Tailtiu and Ethnia. She was in charge of the occupation force in the Miletos District.
----
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Her official game portrait had her face possessing wrinkles, but when it comes to official arts or TCG portrayals, she looked actually more decent for an old woman that hasn't reached grandma status, and no more wrinkles.
* AdaptedOut: She's not present in the Mitsuki Oosawa manga, which could be saying something as the manga was well known to make formerly unsympathetic characters look more sympathetic, meaning that [[EveryoneHasStandards even Oosawa thinks that]] [[ThisIsUnforgivable Hilda is just unsalvagable.]]
* DarkActionGirl: More exactly, a very powerful LadyOfBlackMagic.
* EvilAunt: To Arthur/Amid and Tine/Linda.
* {{Expy}}: She seems to have gotten one in the form of [[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Sonia]], who is similarly hot and similarly evil.
* EvilGloating: Likes to rub in the faces of Arthur/Amid and Teeny/Linda that she drove their mothers to death and takes great pleasure in that act and trying to repeat that to them.
* EvilMatriarch: An exceptionally terrifying sort, even by the standards of this trope.
* ForTheEvulz: There's ''virtually no reason'' why Hilda is such a power-hungry evil bitch that likes the suffering of others. Hell, even Manfroy and his whole Loptyrian clan kinsmen can [[FreudianExcuse take claim that their years of persecution eventually drove them into]] CardCarryingVillain (though they have no regrets), Hilda has none such excuse.
* GoldDigger: Her reasons for being content with Julius' courting of Ishtar amount to this. Already being married to the Duke of Freege drives this point even further. Ishtar herself isn't too thrilled, as she [[GoldBurier actually loves Julius and not his status.]]
* GlassCannon: Very strong LadyOfBlackMagic -- with a ''very'' heavy fire tome.
* HeroicLineage: A minor degree of the Fala bloodline. However, 'heroic' would be the last thing you would refer to Hilda as.
* {{Hypocrite}}: She's pissed that you killed her husband and son, Bloom and Ishtore and wanted to exact revenge. But she gloats proudly about [[spoiler:driving Tailtiu/Ethnia to death and is said to be very delightful when she drove the parents of many children to death.]]
* ItsAllAboutMe: Subtly: When Hilda talks about her grudge against Seliph and his army for killing Bloom and Ishtore, she refers to them as "[her] husband and son". That specific choice of words wouldn't seem strange if she were talking to anyone other than Ishtar, her daughter. You know, Bloom's daughter and Ishtore's sister? Also, as said about her being a {{Hypocrite}}, kill HER husband and son? That's a horrible crime and she wants revenge. When she herself kills someone else's family member (or just drove them to death)? ''What a joy.''
* KickTheDog: It's mentioned in the intro of Chapter 10 that she drove numerous citizens to "hideously cruel" deaths. Meaning [[spoiler:Tailtiu/Ethnia]] wasn't the only person she tortured to death. In addition, she heartilly supports the [[spoiler:Child Hunts.]] When some escape, she orders them all killed.
* PlayingWithFire: Her tome, Bolganone.
* PuppetKing: See Danann, but for Miletos.
* SeeYouInHell: Her response to Arthur in the final chapter.
* SmugSnake: ''So'' very full of herself as she also seemed like a little too controlling on Ishtar, her own daughter, who's far more powerful than her because of her Major Tordo Holy Blood and only follows her around because she understands familial love and piety. And then there's her EvilGloating, in which players find so satisfying to wipe off from her face using either Teeny or Arthur.
* UnholyMatrimony: With Bloom... and she wants Ishtar to follow her example by marrying Julius, though Ishtar truly loves the Prince and shows hesitation about the deal.
* UniqueEnemy: Gets her own class and skillset to herself for unknown reasons.
* YouMonster: Aside from her brutal torture of [[spoiler:Tailtiu & Tine or Ethnia & Linda]], when you liberate one of the villages in the map she's in, this exchange pops up...
-->'''That Queen Hilda of Chronos is wicked to the core. [[spoiler:She began abducting kids after allying with this dark bishop. She kills the mothers, too, without a blink of an eye!]] That woman's not even human. I'd say she's more like a devil!

!!Princess Ishtar of Freege

----
* AncestralWeapon: Mjolnir.
* AntiVillain: ''Thracia 776'' has her state that neither she nor Ishtore approve of [[spoiler: the child hunts.]]
* BrokenBird: She's torn between her love for Julius and her family, and her own sense of what's right and wrong.
* CoolBigSis: To Teeny.
* DarkMistress: She's not really evil, but her love for Julius and loyalty to her family makes her a foe.
* GoldDigger: What Hilda wants for her, in regards to Julius. Since she ''does'' like Julius [[GoldBurier for more than his power]], she's not very convinced.
-->'''Hilda:''' Ishtar, you listen up! We Freeges are of noble rank within Grannvale. And I'm originally from Velthomer, just as the Imperial family is. Who could possibly make a more worthy partner for His Highness than yourself!?

* HeroicLineage: Major Tordo blood from her father, minor Fala blood from her mother.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: She uses the Mjölnir with deadly power and accuracy.
* LoveMartyr: To Julius.
* MoralityPet: Subverted, as Julius is a little nicer to her but it's not enough to redeem him.
* PunchClockVillain: She fights the heroes because of her love of her family and her boyfriend.
* RedBaron: "Goddess of Thunder".
* ShockAndAwe: The Mjolnir.
* YouKilledMyFather: [[spoiler:And brother and mother, too. She tries doing this to Seliph and the Liberation Army, but obviously fails because she was on the wrong side anyway.]]

* AncestralWeapon: Helswath.
* AnAxeToGrind: He uses the holy Helswath/Swanchika axe.
* AntiVillain: Implied to be such, as seen in MyCountryRightOrWrong
* AvengingTheVillain: Wants to avenge his family members slain in the feud between Chalpy and Dozel.
* CainAndAbel: His desire to uphold family honor puts him in conflict with Iuchar or Iucharba.
* HeroicLineage: Of the Neir bloodline, hence his inheritance of Helswath.
* MightyGlacier: He has 47 defense and 27 resistance as the result of the bonuses from Helswath, but the weight reduces his impressive 26 speed into a pitiful 6 speed.
* MyCountryRightOrWrong: Wonders if he was fighting for the right side before dying.
-->'''Brian''': The Helswath was defeated so easily!? Was I on the right side...?
* SuperToughness: The most durable enemy in the game, [[SNKBoss Julius]] notwithstanding.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: His ingame portrait looks like an old man, when in fact he's not likely to be past late 20's/very early 30's.
* YouKilledMyFather: Uses this line:
-->'''Brian''': “You're the person that killed my father... It's time to end this grudge that has plagued the House of Dozel for 3 generations!”
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He's killed not longer after his introduction, unless the player plans things beforehand ''very'' well.[[note]] If Shanan is near Chalphy Castle, he can be used as a 'bait' to distract Brian while the main army focuses on conquering Dozel Castle. ->'''Class:''' Dark Prince
->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] Loptyr [Major], Fala [Minor]

The son of Emperor Arvis and the vessel to the dark dragon Loptyr.
----
* AChildShallLeadThem: One of the rare ''villainous'' examples.
* BrainwashedAndCrazy: It's strongly implied that the Loptyr tome's magic pretty much took over him as soon as he was given the spellbook.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:With Seliph ''and'' Julia]].
* TheDragon: To Manfroy.
* DragonInChief: However, he's a much larger threat than Manfroy and is the FinalBoss.
* EnfanteTerrible: In the Oosawa manga, holy crap. [[spoiler: He took the Loptyr tome, was possessed by it ''AND'' killed his mother (and almost did his father in too, ''and'' would've killed his sister if his mother hadn't spirited her away) when he was '''five''' years old.]]
* EvilRedhead: One of THE bad guys, with blazing red hair.
* FacialMarkings: Has the mark of Loptyr on his forehead and shows it proudly.
%%* FinalBoss
* HeroicLineage: Major Loptyr blood (as a descendant of Saint Maira) from both his parents, minor Fala from his father.
* IllBoy: In ''Thracia 776'', a conversation between Ishtar and Saias mentions that he has "never been strong" and his health has apparently gotten worse [[spoiler:after he was possessed by Loptyr.]]
* MoreThanMindControl: There are some moments in ''Genealogy'' that imply Loptyr hasn't fully awakened in him, as he seems to mangle whether or not he's the Dark God at times. By the time of the final chapter, however, he seems to have fully embraced his identity as Loptyr reborn.
* NoSell: The Loptyr tome will halve the power of anyone who tries to attack him [[spoiler:unless they come packing the Book of Naga]].
* OlderHeroVsYoungerVillain: It also doubles up as this. Going by the two years [[spoiler:before the Battle of Balhalla]], the seventeen years that follow it ''and'' the year that it takes his army to get back to Grandbell, Seliph is a grown youth in ''at least'' his late teens/very early twenties by the time of his final showdown with Julius. The Dark Prince's age, on the other hand, is vaguer, but he's definitely younger and probably just in his mid-to-late teens.
* PetTheDog: Is somewhat nice, if controlling, to Ishtar. One of his first apparitions is pulling a BigDamnHeroes (well, big damn villains) when she's defeated for the first time.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: If, through good luck, CherryTapping, or [[LevelGrinding grinding,]] he is defeated in Chapter 10, Julius will unceremoniously leave in a huff.
--> ''"Play time is over. I'm going home."''
* SelfMadeOrphan: [[spoiler:Killed his mother Deirdre and tried to kill his sister Julia after being given the Loptyr tome. Deirdre, however, managed to spirit Julia away before dying at his hand.]]
* SoulJar: [[spoiler:For Loptyr.]]
* TeenGenius: Is the DragonInChief to Mafroy's BigBad... when still under 20 years old.
* TheUnfavorite: Accuses Deirdre of not loving him in the Oosawa manga, [[spoiler: right before he kills her.]]
* UsedToBeASweetKid: The IllBoy example above as well as Ishtar being a LoveMartyr for him would suggest that Julius ''was'' quite normal in comparison to how he acted after [[spoiler:Manfroy gave him the Loptyr tome]]. Julia also expresses this.
--> “… Just who are you? Everything changed the day Archbishop Manfroy brought that eerie black book in. That day also marks the last I saw of my dear brother… All that remained in his place was this powerful, yet demonic child. You… whoever you are… have deprived me of my mother and my brother, as well! Who are you!? Why must you put me through this agony!?”
** Also one of Ishtar's main motivations in sticking by his side in the Oosawa manga, with some of their backstory together actually shown.
* {{Yandere}}: For his girlfriend Ishtar, since he tells her in ''Thracia'' that he ''hates'' how Reinhardt looks at her and threatens to kill him if he appears in front of them again.
* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler:Tells this almost word by word ''to his own mom'' before killing her.]]

----
* BigBad: But not the final boss.
* {{Blackmail}}: How he started to get to [[spoiler:Arvis]]'s head, via [[spoiler:manipulating him due to his Loptyrian heritage, since people of Loptyrian blood are all hated and instantly condemned to execution]].
* CastingAShadow: While he ''can'' use the other elements (sans Light) and even, of all things, [[HealingHands Staves]], he never does.
* CardCarryingVillain: Justified, since there is ''[[ObviouslyEvil no possible way]]'' [[ObviouslyEvil he could hide the fact that he's evil]].
* ConsummateLiar: The player's bullshit alarm will be going off every two seconds whenever he has a conversation with Chagall about how he'll make him the world's new emperor. [[AssholeVictim Not that one can really feel sorry for Chagall, mind]].
* TheChessMaster: He appears very early on and, from that point forward, sets up all of the game's events.
* DarkIsEvil: Plays it ''very'' straight.
* DystopiaJustifiesTheMeans: Manfroy is not trying to resurrect Loptyr for the sake of doing something evil. He's trying to resurrect Loptyr because it would turn the entire continent into a nightmarishly brutal regime where children are sacrificed, people are brainwashed, and nobody -- ''nobody'' -- has a prayer of salvation. Why? Because he wants to get back at the world for destroying it the first time around and also just because he can.
* EliteMook: A variation, in that he has the class of one but plays a much bigger role in the plot. Despite being the game's ultimate puppet-master, he doesn't have his own unique class. Instead, he has the same Dark Bishop class that every high-ranking Loptyrian leader has.
* EvilOldFolks: By the time he began his plan, he is a very old man as shown in ''Thracia 776'' in which he was a grandfather to [[spoiler: Leif's eventual companion Sara]].
* ForTheEvulz: Double subverted. While he's rotten to the core, he's extremely pragmatic about his villainy and never indulges in any StupidEvil tendencies. He just finds delight in the suffering of others, and will increase it in rather pragmatic manners.
* TheManBehindTheMan, EvilChancellor, & PoisonousFriend: All of them, respectively, to King Batou (since he works through Sandima), King Chagall, and [[spoiler:Duke/Emperor Arvis]].
* ManipulativeBastard: His preferred method of getting people to do what he wants is to play with their heads until they do it.
* MoreThanMindControl: Very stealthily hidden. When Seliph finds the cult's base in the Yied Desert, he learns from Lewyn that those descended from the original Loptyr Empire weren't that different from normal human beings at first. However, ''something'' corrupted them -- whether it was the [[DarkIsEvil dark magic]] (which is outright stated to have horrible side-effects in the Archaneia series, [[spoiler:which take place in the same world as the Jugdral games]]), the brainwashing instilled in them in by the cult that raised them, the torment of having to hide inside a desert for their entire life, or something else, Lewyn's words imply that even not Manfroy would have been ''born'' evil.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: [[spoiler:He decided to spare Julia and use her as a puppet against Selph's army in the final chapter, due to her own powers. This resulted in Julia getting the Book of Naga. Do the math.]]
* NumberTwo: For Julius, once he's born, despite being the BigBad.
* ParentalMarriageVeto: [[spoiler:His unnamed daughter married a NiceGuy against his wishes. Manfroy killed the poor man. No wonder his granddaughter Sara hates him.]]
* {{Revenge}}: Part of his motivation. He wants to get back at the world for destroying the Loptyrian Empire centuries ago [[spoiler: and, in the Oosawa manga, for his DarkAndTroubledPast that includes almost dying [[BurnTheWitch at the stake]], being disfigured, and losing his parents and best friend.]]
* SkippableBoss: In fact, it is indeed very possible to go through the whole game without fighting him. [[SNKBoss Good luck on doing that, though]].
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: In the Oosawa manga, he explains to [[spoiler: Lewyn and Ferry]] during the Battle of [[spoiler: Belhalla]] that he had an ''extremely'' DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler: As a boy he ras raised in the Lotyr cult's catacombs, not knowing why exactly the Loptyr cult was hidden. Each of them has a weapon infused with the power of a certain member of the Dragon Tribe, and only the crusader who wielded their weapon and their descendants with major holy blood can wield them. Also, each Crusader has a holy blood line named after them (Except Heim, whose holy bloodline is called Naga).

!!Baldur the Holy Knight ''(Baldo)''
->'''Likely class:''' Paladin

The founder of the House of Chalphy and the inheritor of the Tyrfing.
----
%%* KnightInShiningArmor: Most likely.
* RedBaron: "Crusader of Light"
* MageKiller: Tyrfing gives its user high magic defense.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His sword. It is ''very obviously'' meant to be called "Tyrfing" to reference Norse mythology, as most of the game does, but [[FlipFlopOfGod repeated Flip Flops of God]] resulted in it also being called Tyrhung and Tailfing. ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAwakening'' ''finally'' cemented that it's Tyrfing.

!!Saint Heim
->'''Likely class:''' Sage

Leader of the Twelve Crusaders and the founder of the Kingdom of Grannvale and it's capital, Belhalla. Inheritor of the Book of Naga, his lineage founded the Royal Family of Grannvale. He allowed Naga to share his persona with him, which explains why his lineage is called Naga.
----
%%* BadassBeard
* ChurchMilitant: Him and Blaggi, though he was even more proactive.
* FacialMarkings: One on his forehead. [[spoiler:Deirdre has it too (and covers it with her circlet), which is what proves her Naga heritage in-story.]]
* HolyHandGrenade and LightEmUp: Naga, his tome
* RedBaron: "Saint Heim"
* {{Retcon}}: Despite the above description, ''Thracia 776'' refers to his lineage as Blood of Heim.

!!Hezul the BlackKnight
->'''Likely class:''' Paladin

The founder of the Kingdom of Agustria and the inheritor of the Demon Blade Mystletainn.
----
* BigScrewedUpFamily: His descendants, both the Royal House of Augustria and the Nordion family. More exactly: [[spoiler:Hezul's youngest daughter, the one who inherited the major Hezul blood, married a Nordion nobleman. The Nordions are the ones with major Hezul blood and ''not'' the Augustrians, who either only have minor blood or nothing at all (like in Chagall's case).]] This is the basis for many, ''many'' of Eldigan and Raquesis's troubles later.
* RedBaron: "BlackKnight"
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: His sword has -- in a similar case to Tyrfing -- had been spelled Mistoltin, Mistolteen, Mistilteinn, and Mystletainn. ''Awakening's'' English release used the name "Mystletainn".

!!Ulir the Bow User
->'''Likely class:''' Sniper

The founder of the House of Jungby and the inheritor of Yewfelle.
----

* AmbiguousGender: We don't know if they're a lady or a gentleman.
* BornLucky: People with Ulir blood tend to have the highest Luck growth bonuses in-game (a whopping case of 30%... ''alongside the character's natural growths''). In-story, this is pretty much a legend in Jugdral, which is invoked by Adean in the Oosawa manga.
* RedBaron: "Bow User"
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Ichival? Ichaival? Ichii-bal? The localization for ''Awakening'' called it Yewfelle.

!!Noba the Lance Knight ''(Nova)''
->'''Likely class:''' Duke Knight

The founder of the Manster District and the inheritor of the Gae Bolg. [[spoiler:The Tragedy of the Gae Bolg which results in her death caused much strife between Manster District and the Kingdom of Thracia]].
----
* ActionGirl: Of the LadyOfWar variety.
* BladeOnAStick: Gáe Bolg
* BreakTheCutie: [[spoiler:Noba was HappilyMarried to a Thracian knight, who doubled as NumberTwo to Dain. Some time after the war, she tried to stop a fight between them, but accidentally killed her hubby in what's known as The Tragedy of the Gáe Bolg...]]
* BrotherSisterTeam: With her brother Dain.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:Their descendants.]]
* KillTheCutie: [[spoiler:She's DrivenToSuicide afterwards.]]
%%* MartialArtsHeadband
* RedBaron: "Lance Knight"

!!Dain the Dragon Knight
->'''Likely class:''' Dragon Master

The founder of the Kingdom of Thracia and the inheritor of the Gungnir. [[spoiler:The Tragedy of the Gae Bolg, resulting in his sister's death and his mysterious death years later caused much strife between the Manster District and Thracia]].
----
* BladeOnAStick: Gungnir
* BrotherSisterTeam: With his sister Noba.
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:Their descendants.]]
%%* DragonRider
%%* MartialArtsHeadband
* RedBaron: "Dragon Knight"
%%* TallDarkAndHandsome

!!Ced the Wind User ''(Sety)''
->'''Likely class:''' Sage

The founder of the Kingdom of Silesse and the inheritor of Forseti. Like Heim, he allowed Forseti to take his persona, hence why his lineage is called Forseti.
----
* BlowYouAway: Forseti
%%* PeekABangs
* RedBaron: "Wind User"
%%* TallDarkAndHandsome

!!Tordo the Mage Knight
->'''Likely class:''' Mage Knight

The founder of the House of Freege and the inheritor of Mjolnir.
----
* GenerationXerox: Subverted: Reinhardt is said to be like his second coming and to look a lot like him... but he's ''not'' of Tordo blood, since he only works as a highranked commander for the Freeges.
%%* MagicKnight
* RedBaron: "Mage Knight"
* ShockAndAwe: Mjolnir
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Averted, he has very light hair (inherited by almost all of his descendants) but is one of the good guys. (played straight by some of his descendants, though).

!!Fala the Mage Fighter
->'''Likely class:''' Mage Fighter

The founder of the House of Velthomer and the inheritor of the Valflame.
----
%%* LadyOfBlackMagic
%%* MagicKnight
* PlayingWithFire: Valflame[=/=]Fala Flame.
* RedBaron: "Mage Fighter"

!!Neir the Axe Fighter
->'''Likely class:''' Warrior

The founder of the House of Dozel and the inheritor of Helswath.
----
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: All his ingame descendants are overshadowed by Tordo's: Lombard, by Reptor; Danan, by Bloom; Brian, by Ishtar, etc.
* AnAxeToGrind: Helswath/Swanchika.
* {{BFS}}: The aforementioned Helswath is the heaviest weapon in FireEmblem history! And it hits from two spaces away! But it also shows the downside of this trope, as it ''[[MightyGlacier heavily]]'' [[MightyGlacier slows down its user]], who will have little chance of landing a hit on [[FragileSpeedster speedy Balmung users]]. (This isn't helped by the complete lack of any stat to mitigate attack speed reduction due to weapon weight in ''Genealogy of the Holy War''.)
* BlackSheep: Subverted. In his life, Neir is always a solid friend for his fellow crusaders, but his descendants... not so much. Lewyn even singles out his descendants to be disgraces to House Dozel, probably because it has less Anti-Villains amongst the bunch and its only WhiteSheep (Lex) can die childless.
* RedBaron: "Axe Knight"

!!Odo the Sword Saint
->'''Likely class:''' Swordmaster

The founder of the Kingdom of Isaach and the inheritor of the Balmung.
----
* IdenticalGrandson: His descendants, Mariccle and Shanan, look a lot like him.
* RedBaron: "Sword Saint"
%%* TallDarkAndHandsome

!!Blaggi the Arch Bishop (''Blagi'')
->'''Likely class:''' Bishop

The founder of the House of Edda and the inheritor of the Valkyrie Staff.
----
%%* ChurchMilitant
* HeroesPreferSwords: [[spoiler:Whoever uses the Blaggi Sword, blessed by him.]]
* RedBaron: "Arch Bishop"
* SoleSurvivor: [[spoiler:Of the Saint Maira priests, all slain after the sacred wars. He built the Tower of Blaggi to honor them, but after his death its purpose was forgotten.]]
%%* WhiteMage
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Loptyrian Empire]]
!!Emperor Galle

The old Emperor of the Loptyrian Empire. He travelled to a [[VideoGame/FireEmblemAkaneia faraway continent]] and made a blood pact with Loptyr. Upon returning to Jugdral, he conquered the continent and formed the Loptyrian Empire. His legacy was destroyed by the Twelve Crusaders.
----
%%* DarkIsEvil
* DealWithTheDevil: With Loptyr.
%%* FaceHeelTurn
%%* TheEmperor
* LegacyCharacter: His descendants were also named Galle.
* ReligionOfEvil: Founds the Loptyrian Empire ''and'' the Sect.
%%* SinisterMinister
* NamestheSame: With Gale from [[VideoGame/FireEmblemElibe Sword of Seals]]. Additionally, all of his successors also took the name 'Galle'.

!!Saint Maira

Brother of the Emperor Galle. He wanted to protect the oppressed people under the Loptyrian Empire.
----
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:With his older brother, one of the Galle Emperors.]]
* DarkisNotEvil: Tried to TakeAThirdOption by having people worship Loptyr willingly, and not as [[GodIsEvil an evil God]] but as [[GodIsGood a]] [[TheSacredDarkness savior]]. [[spoiler:It didn't work.]]
%%* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Dragon Tribe]]
!!Loptyr ''(Loptous, Loputousu)''

The earth dragon of the old Loptyrian empire. He has since been defeated, but was resurrected by the Loptyrian Sect through his vassal Julius.
----
* AsLongAsThereIsEvil: Gives this spiel if defeated by Seliph, just like Medeus.
* CainAndAbel: With the other Dragons, and ''especially'' Naga and Forseti.
* DragonsAreDemonic: Loptyr, an Earth Dragon who escaped being sealed under the Dragon's Table through blood-bonding with the bishop Galle, is often described as less of a regular (albeit evil) dragon, and more something akin to a GodOfEvil due to his [[DarkIsEvil heavy association with darkness]], habit of DemonicPossession of those with major Loptyr blood through his titular tome, and having a whole ReligionOfEvil based around him.
* DragonsAreDivine: The Lopt Empire worshipped him as a god.
* GodOfEvil: Regarded as such.
* GreaterScopeVillain: In the backstory, he conquered the entire continent through a human and for most of Generation 1, a cult seeks his resurrection.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Of Medeus from ''VideoGame/FireEmblemAkaneia''. [[spoiler:WordOfGod says the Jugdral games occur in the same universe as Akaneia, but 1000 years prior. Meaning they're most likely of the same tribe.]]
** [[spoiler:They were both Earth Dragons. It was confirmed in the designer notes of the Genealogy of the Holy War playing guide.]]

!!Forseti ''(Holsety)''
->'''Class:''' Sage (shown as one in the attract mode)

One of the dragons who aided the Crusaders in overthrowing the Loptyrian Empire. He gave his blood to the warrior Ced and the tome Forseti.
----
* BigGood: [[spoiler: Under Lewyn's guise, he helped Seliph in defeating the Grannvale Empire and Loptyr.]]
* BlowYouAway: Forseti, the wind tome he created for Crusader Ced and his descendants's use.
* DragonsAreDivine: As a result of his blood-bonding with Ced he was worshiped as the Wind God of Silesse.
* EmpathicWeapon: To a degree. Forseti himself was the youngest and most HotBlooded of the Dragons, so he put a lot of his own power and love for humanity in the tome, [[spoiler:and this is not only why the spellbook is so powerful and has his name, but one of the reasons why the Forseti users "inherit Forseti's will as well as his power".]]
* GodIsGood: As said above, he genuinely loves humanity and is among the most sympathetic to their plight.
%%* NamesTheSame:
* SoulJar: [[spoiler:Uses Prince Lewyn as one. It's not clear for ''how'' long this has been going on: some sources say it happened as soon as Rahna gave Lewyn the Forseti tome, others say it happened after Belhalla. In the Oosawa manga, it's hinted that Forseti's spirit [[EmpathicWeapon can speak to Lewyn through the tome itself]] and he does it for the first time when Ferry gives him the Forseti tome, which in turn was given to her by Rahna; it's not explained, though, if Forseti fully takes control of Lewyn's body in that moment or not. Nonetheless, Forseti takes full control of Lewyn after his death in Belhalla.]]
* VoluntaryShapeshifter: Took a human form to contact the Twelve Crusaders, alongside his Dragon siblings.

!!Naga ''(Narga)''

Divine dragon and the leader of the dragons who aided the Crusaders. Guising as a young maiden, she gave her blood to Heim and much of her power through the Book of Naga.
----
For Naga's tropes, see her section [[Characters/FireEmblem here]].

!!Salamander

One of the dragons who aided the Crusaders. He gave his blood to Fala.
----
* {{Expy}}: Extremely reminiscent of [[Characters/FireEmblemShadowDragon Bantu]], who he just may be.
* PlayingWithFire: Valflame[=/=]Fala Flame, which he gave to the LadyOfBlackMagic Fala.
* VoluntaryShapeshifter: Also took a human form, but as an old man.

[[folder:Verdane]]
!!Dimaggio
->'''Class:''' Axe Fighter

One of Munnir's goons in the invasion of Grannvale. He guards Jungby when Munnir ran off with Adean.
----
* StarterVillain: He's the first boss fought by Sigurd's army, and only slightly stronger than his {{Mooks}}.

!!Gerrard
->'''Class:''' Axe Fighter

Another of Munnir's goons in the invasion of Grannvale. He guards Evans.
----

!!Prince Cimbaeth of Verdane (Kimbois)
->'''Class:''' Warrior

* SparedByTheAdaptation: Fujimori version.
* ThePawn: It's mentioned he was corrupted by Sandima's influence.

!!Prince Munnir of Verdane (Gandolf)
->'''Class:''' Warrior

* CainAndAbel: He's Jamke's brother.

->'''Holy blood:''' Loptyr [Minor]

->'''Class:''' Paladin
->'''Holy blood:''' Hezul [Major]

* LawfulStupid: See HonorBeforeReason.

->'''Class:''' Paladin

->'''Class:''' Duke Knight

* VillainousCrush: On Raquesis.

!!Phillip
->'''Class:''' General

A general of Heirhein who leads a defensive line, preventing anyone from reaching Heirhein.
----
* AdaptedOut: Oosawa version.

!!Lord Boldor of Heirhein (Boldo)
->'''Class:''' General

Lord of Heirhein and father of Elliot. He orders Elliot to take Nordion to take revenge for being humiliated by Eldigan.
----
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Oosawa manga, via using Elliot to force a truce from Heirhein.

!!Voltz
->'''Class:''' Forrest Knight

->'''Class:''' General

* SparedByTheAdaptation: Oosawa version.
* StoutStrength: Despite being obese, he's an armor knight with decent stats.

!!Lord Clement of Mackily
->'''Class:''' Bishop

!!Zyne
->'''Class:''' Duke Knight

A commander of the cavalry in Agusty.
----
* AntiVillain: In Oosawa's manga, where his personality is fleshed out as a very sympathetic and patriotic captain. It makes you feel sorry for him the next time that you face him in the game.
* AscendedExtra: Oosawa version.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: [[spoiler:Sigurd's.]]

->'''Class:''' Baron

!!Jacoban
->'''Class:''' Forrest

->'''Class:''' Dragon Master
->'''Holy blood:''' Dain [Major]

* AncestralWeapon: Gungnir.

* ArrangedMarriage: Revealed to be engaged to Linoan in ''Thracia 776''.
* {{Bishonen}}: Particularly in the Nea Fuyuki manga. You'd be forgiven for thinking that shot of him when he was younger was of a girl.

* SympatheticAdulterer: Victor was an utter bastard and a drunk, so it's no wonder she cheats on him with [[spoiler:Prince Kurth]].

!!Filat

A messenger under King Azmur.

* MrExposition: He tells a [[spoiler:story about Lady Cigyun to Sigurd. He also informed him of the rumors of him, Quan, and Eldigan conspiring against Grannvale for hiding Shanan.]]
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: After Chapter 2, he completely vanishes from the story aside from the one of the villages who may not even be him.

!!Duke Lombard of Dozel ''(Langobalt, Langbart)''
->'''Class:''' Baron

* AncestralWeapon: The Helswath/Swanchika.
* AnAxeToGrind: The Helswath/Swanchika.
%%* SmugSnake

!!Duke Reptor of Freege ''(Leptor)''
->'''Class:''' Baron
->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] Tordo [Major]

* AncestralWeapon: Mjolnir.

!!Duke Andrey of Jungby ''(Andorey, Andre, Andrei)''
->'''Class:''' Bow Knight

* AdaptedOut: Fujimori version.

!!Slaydar

One of Arvis's soldiers in charge of watching Phinora against [[spoiler:Sigurd's march through the desert.]]
----

!!Aida
->'''Class:''' Mage Fighter

One of Arvis's closest confidants and one of the leaders of the Roten Ritter, Veltomer's elite troops. In ''Thracia 776'', [[spoiler: She is the mother of Saias, in which she died protecting him from the Loptyrian Sect.]]
----
* BodyguardCrush: Has one on Arvis. [[spoiler: They got intimate at least once, as her son has major Fala blood]].
* CavalryBetrayal: To Reptor.
* EvilRedhead: Not really, she seems to be a decent person... who ''happens'' to work for Arvis and be his NumberTwo.
* ExactWords: She reassures Reptor by saying that things are going according to Arvis' plan. [[spoiler:The plan is to betray him so as to lure Sigurd into Belhalla]].
* LadyOfBlackMagic: An elegant-looking young woman with lots of magical power.
* MamaBear: [[spoiler:As noted below, she died protecting her son from the Loptyrian Sect.]]

* YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness: [[spoiler:To Reptor.]]

!!Princess Ethnia of Freege
->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] [[spoiler:Tordo [Minor] ]]

The youngest daughter of Reptor and the sister of Tailtiu. She is the mother of Amid and Linda. [[spoiler:She joined Sigurd's army if her sister died and took the abuse by Hilda.]]
----
* HairDecorations: [[http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/Ethnia In the only avaliable portrait of her]], she wears a red headband.
* HeroicLineage: Of the Tordo Bloodline, handing it down to her children Amid and Linda if they are to appear.

-->'''Class:''' Baron
-->'''Holy blood:'''[[labelnote:note]]not a playable character, but it'll be mentioned for story reasons[[/labelnote]] Neir [Major]

->'''Class:''' Baron

->'''Class:''' Queen

* EvilAunt: To Arthur/Amid and Tine/Linda.
* PlayingWithFire: Her tome, Bolganone.

----
* AncestralWeapon: Mjolnir.
* AntiVillain: ''Thracia 776'' has her state that neither she nor Ishtore approve of [[spoiler: the child hunts.]]
* BrokenBird: She's torn between her love for Julius and her family, and her own sense of what's right and wrong.
* CoolBigSis: To Teeny.
-->'''Ishtar''': ...Yes, Mother...
* HeroicLineage: Major Tordo blood from her father, minor Fala blood from her mother.
* LadyOfBlackMagic: She uses the Mjölnir with deadly power and accuracy.
* LoveMartyr: To Julius.
* MoralityPet: Subverted, as Julius is a little nicer to her but it's not enough to redeem him.
* PunchClockVillain: She fights the heroes because of her love of her family and her boyfriend.
* RedBaron: "Goddess of Thunder".
* ShockAndAwe: The Mjolnir.
* YouKilledMyFather: [[spoiler:And brother and mother, too. She tries doing this to Seliph and the Liberation Army, but obviously fails because she was on the wrong side anyway.]]

* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler:With Seliph ''and'' Julia]].
* TheDragon: To Manfroy.
* SoulJar: [[spoiler:For Loptyr.]]

!!Bramsel
->'''Class:''' General

A former merchant who became a leader of Darna under Bloom's rule.

!!Manfroy ''(Manfloy)''
->'''Class:''' Dark Bishop

The leader of the cult that wishes to resurrect their dark god. He orchestrated many of the events to bring forth Loptyr and his dark empire.
----
* BigBad: But not the final boss.
The time a young Manfloy and a girl from the group tried to sneak out and see the world, they were caught; he, his parents and his best friend were [[BurnTheWitch burned at the stake]], with little!Manfloy ''barely'' surviving and [[GoodScarsEvilScars being horribly disfigured]] as a result.]] As a consequence, Manfloy went from [[UsedToBeASweetKid a naive boy]] to a bitter and ''hateful'' Dark Mage, Hell-bent on destroying the world that almost killed him.
* YouMonster: When ''an AllLovingHero'' is out to kill someone without a shred of mercy, well...

[[folder:The Twelve Crusaders]]
The twelve fighters that went through blood rites with the Dragon Tribe in what's know as the Miracle of Darna, then fought and eventually overthrew the Loptyrian Empire during the Gran Calender Years 632-648.

->'''Likely class:''' Paladin

The founder of the House of Chalphy and the inheritor of the Tyrfing.
----
%%* KnightInShiningArmor: Most likely.
* RedBaron: "Crusader of Light"

->'''Likely class:''' Sage

* RedBaron: "Saint Heim"
* {{Retcon}}: Despite the above description, ''Thracia 776'' refers to his lineage as Blood of Heim.

!!Hezul the BlackKnight
->'''Likely class:''' Paladin

* RedBaron: "BlackKnight"

->'''Likely class:''' Sniper

The founder of the House of Jungby and the inheritor of Yewfelle.
----

* AmbiguousGender: We don't know if they're a lady or a gentleman.
* BornLucky: People with Ulir blood tend to have the highest Luck growth bonuses in-game (a whopping case of 30%... ''alongside the character's natural growths''). In-story, this is pretty much a legend in Jugdral, which is invoked by Adean in the Oosawa manga.
* RedBaron: "Bow User"
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Ichival? Ichaival? Ichii-bal? The localization for ''Awakening'' called it Yewfelle.

!!Noba the Lance Knight ''(Nova)''
->'''Likely class:''' Duke Knight

The founder of the Manster District and the inheritor of the Gae Bolg. [[spoiler:The Tragedy of the Gae Bolg which results in her death caused much strife between Manster District and the Kingdom of Thracia]].

!!Tordo the Mage Knight

The founder of the House of Freege and the inheritor of Mjolnir.

%%* MagicKnight
* RedBaron: "Mage Knight"
* ShockAndAwe: Mjolnir
* WhiteHairBlackHeart: Averted, he has very light hair (inherited by almost all of his descendants) but is one of the good guys. (played straight by some of his descendants, though).

The founder of the House of Velthomer and the inheritor of the Valflame.
----
%%* LadyOfBlackMagic

!!Neir the Axe Fighter
->'''Likely class:''' Warrior

The founder of the House of Dozel and the inheritor of Helswath.
----
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: All his ingame descendants are overshadowed by Tordo's: Lombard, by Reptor; Danan, by Bloom; Brian, by Ishtar, etc.
* AnAxeToGrind: Helswath/Swanchika.
* RedBaron: "Axe Knight"

!!Odo the Sword Saint

* GodOfEvil: Regarded as such.

!!Forseti ''(Holsety)''
