* EasilyForgiven: Despite all the harm he helped cause, Mithra never shows him any animosity even after he himself says he didn't deserve to be called her uncle. Even Asura himself states after their fight that he never considered Yasha an enemy and that he was always a brother.

* StrongAndSkilled: While Asura is the type to [[UnskilledButStrong wail on his target with mindless ferocity until it dies]], Yasha has much more finesse and control. This combined with the same threshold of raw power as other demigods and it becomes very obvious why he earned the rank of Guardian General. In practice, Yasha has beaten Asura more often then Asura has beaten him, Yasha being the only Guardian General not to die by Asura's hands.

* EvilIsBigger: Even his smaller final form is about a head taller than Asura.

* LivingLava: It's a massive monstrosity made of lava and ingenious rock. Particularly in its core form, it likes to attack by unleashing a GroundPound that releases columns of magma skyward, as well as creating and hardening a hunk of magma into volcanic rock to fire like a missile.

* TheChosenOne: {{Subverted}}. A lot of Deus' actions make sense if one assumes he sees himself as this. After all, he's the leader of the Eight Guardian Generals and later the Seven Deities, bears the most powerful Mantra of all, and even to the end he repeatedly refers to himself as the only one who can defeat Vlitra, the most powerful and feared being known to the world that would devour the souls of all living beings on Gaea if left unchecked. However, considering the fact [[{{God}} Chakravartin]] clearly favors Asura over all others and encourages him to fight both the Gohma and his old Demigod comrades, it's clear that Deus was always meant to just be a stepping stone for Asura to reach even greater heights in Chakravartin's goal to make him a new supreme deity.

* GutturalGrowler: As noted, he has an incredibly deep and gruff voice which only grows even more hoarse when he's screaming.

* AboveGoodAndEvil: Believes himself to be this: as the one who created the world and all life upon it, he thinks himself to be beyond ethics and morality... * BigGood: At first glance, being the one who motivates and guides Asura out of Naraka and giving him cryptic advice, Golden Spider would certainly seem to be this. However, around the point he starts ''praising'' the power and fury of Asura's Berserker and Wrath forms is when one might get the feeling he's hiding an agenda of his own. [[SubvertedTrope If you download Part IV, he's revealed as Chakravartin]], the GreaterScopeVillain of story.

* GoneHorriblyRight: His attempts at turning Asura into his heir as the Redeemer worked... but in doing so, he gave Asura every reason in the world to want him dead in addition to that great power, creating the one being that could and would kill him.

* EvilCounterpart: To Asura. He is visually everything Asura is not; a spindly, effeminate, glowing golden god of life and creation, with smooth flesh-toned skin and pure white eyes, in contrast to a muscular, scarred, demonic red entity of wrath and destruction. Both are the only things in each other's power level, and fight with multiple arms and energy blasts, but Asura relies heavily on his physical strength and rarely uses his ranged attacks. Chakravartin only attacks physically after Asura provokes him into a VillainousBreakdown. His final form is more clearly a counterpart to Asura's Wrath form, in the same way that the Vlitra Core was a counterpart to his Berserker form. This becomes even clearer in the original Japanese where the name of his Creator form translates to "King of Metempsychosis A-Sura" (転輪王ア・スラ).

* HumiliationConga: Near the last leg of the final battle, Chakravartin sports his own Sanskrit lettered ActionCommands. But after getting hit repeatedly by Asura's barrage, he physically staggers and the action commands start to fail. Asura is just casually pummeling him and countering his attempts to fight back at this point, giving a rather epic and angry speech how he's not going to take any more crap from anyone that calls himself a god and/or [[PapaWolf makes his daughter cry]].

* AGodAmI: Just like the rest of the enemies in the game, except this time it's truly a JustifiedTrope.
* GodIsEvil: Despite his claims, he's a callous manipulator that has no moral concerns over the suffering and death he causes.

* MarathonBoss: The final fight with him causes the entire episode to last nearly a full hour, counting the cutscenes.

* NonindicativeName: Chakravartin means "ideal universal ruler" in Indian religions, but he doesn't fit the ethical, benevolent, or the "ideal" part in the slightest.
* NoodleIncident: When Asura yells "Your time is up!" at him, Chakravartin's only reply is "I have heard those words before," with no further explanation as to who else got this far in defying him, when, or how many times he's heard it before.

* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: He tries to come across as the opposite, saying he was causing the world to suffer in order to get an heir after countless Eons of destroying and recreating the planet of Gaea, so that he can explore other worlds and guide others. Asura calls him out on this immensely, and as he beats down Chakravartin, it's obvious that Chakravartin's intentions are nothing but shallow excuses to feed his god complex.
* OmniscientMoralityLicense: Averted. He's remade the world time and again for no reason except to get ''someone'' to take his job so he can do the same things somewhere else, instead of properly caring or guiding the creatures he's created; nobody can stand him or his claims that he's doing this for a good reason.

* OutsideContextProblem: The other antagonists of the game only considered themselves gods, but whose abilities had limits. Chakravartin, however, is an ''actual'' god, and whom not even the combined might of Asura nor Yasha could defeat, forcing Yasha to give the Mantra Reactor of the Karmic Fortress to Asura and sacrifice own life to get Asura to a level good enough to combat Chakravartin.

* PummelDuel: Once he's hit one too many times, he absolutely loses his shit and attempts one of these. He actually gets the better of Asura, both because he has more arms and said arms are even more durable, only cracking whereas Asura's get shattered to pieces when they strike directly, but Asura manages to land an epic uppercut and starts wailing on him with his remaining two arms.
* RasputinianDeath: He took no less than '''10''' bursts[[note]]Or 12, if you count the two used on his giant form in the first stages of his final boss battle, the first to penetrate through said form's event horizon, and the second to do so again to return from the Naraka realm (where you were unwillingly transported to by Chakravartin) back to the Nirvana realm.[[/note]] before finally dying, which Asura's does by ''punching part of his head off'' before he finally explodes.

* RedAndBlackAndEvilAllOver: His final "Creator" is a black skeleton lit red from the inside; also has a shiny silver outer shell/robe.
* TheReveal: The Golden Spider turns out to be Chakravartin, the creator god.

* SatanicArchetype: Chakravartin launches stars at the Earth during the final battle. [[Literature/BookOfRevelation You know who else used that tactic]]? Chakravartin claims to be the origin of all mantra yet by some coincidence the seven mantras [[UsefulNotes/{{Christianity}} line up closely with]] the {{seven deadly sins}}. His name means ideal universal ruler but it is a rough equivalent to Cosmocrator, one of Old Scratch's epithets. He is first introduced (albeit in his spider-disguise) in Naraka as its ruler, a name equated to the Hindu/Buddhist equivalent of {{Hell}}. He also claims to be the true divine ruler of Gaea and the AnthropomorphicPersonification of Samsara, the Wheel of Life and Death, not unlike Mara, the demonic celestial king who rules over the Earth, is the Buddhist-equivalent of {{Satan}}, and tries to keep humanity trapped in Samsara where they cannot achieve true enlightenment by ascending to Nirvana.

* TrueFinalBoss: If you brought the downloadable content for the "true ending" anyway.

* WeCanRuleTogether: Tries this on Asura numerous times, feeling that Asura is the only one powerful enough to replace him. At the end of the game before the final battle, he even offers ''not only'' full control of Gaea at bare minimum (the language is vague enough that "this world" extends to the entire universe since he gestures to the entirety of the "Event Horizon" dimension they're in) but even his daughter Mithra with no apparent strings aside from accepting the offer. [[TheFinalTemptation For a moment Asura does indeed look tempted]], but by this point Asura is fed up with gods.

* YinYangBomb: His final form makes use of both light and darkness.

* DefiantToTheEnd: To put it simply, Chakravartin takes quite the beating before he finally dies.

* DemonicPossession: Of Mithra. He needs a vessel of suitable power over Mantra to manifest his real form and act freely in the world.

* UncannyValley: a key visual indicator that he's a HumsnoidAbomination. He looks ''almost'' human, but his flesh is disturbingly stretchy and rubbery, as if he's wearing it like a suit - and considering his bizarre OneWingedAngel form, there's every chance he is.

* {{Hypocrite}}: Her rant about loss comes across as incredibly two-faced in the end when it was she, the [[BadBoss jerk]] who didn't even want her, and a host of co-conspirators, who usurped a celestial armada and framed Asura for the death of its emperor, took advantage of and wholesale slaughtered humanity to gather Mantra, and then wasted ''thousands of years worth of Mantra trying to kill Asura with Brahmastra'', rendering Deus' plan all but [[AllForNothing doomed to fail]]. It makes it hard not to feel [[KickTheSonofABitch abject joy]] at her [[UndignifiedDeath undignified]] if [[KarmicDeath albeit all too deserved end]] at the hands of a [[GodIsEvil despicable]] Demiurge.
