A lot of the future-set stories for After the Jungle take place during Arnold and Helga's adulthood when they (along with many of their old friends and classmates from P.S. 118) have gotten married and/or had kids of their own—whether through biological means or through adoption.
- Arnold and Helga have three kids: two sons named Andrew "Andy" Phillip Shortman and Henry Miles Shortman and a daughter named Megan Gertrude Shortman.
- Gerald and Phoebe have two daughters named Kiara Satomi Johanssen and Akiko "Kiki" Johanssen.
- Harold and Pattie have a son named Adam and three daughters named Sylvia, Janet and Mindy (which may or may not be a nickname for "Melinda").
- Curly (who goes by his real name of "Thaddeus" as an adult) and Rhonda have a daughter named Courtney.
- Eugene and his husband, Brandon, adopt three kids: two sons named Reese and Thompson and a daughter named Keisha.
- Sheena has a son named Freddy (which may or may not be short for something like "Frederick").
- Nadine has a son named Nate (which may or may not be short for something like "Nathan").
- Stinky has a daughter named Sammy (which is probably short for "Samantha") and a son named Stinky Junior.
- Sid has two daughters named Sadie and Stacey.
- Wolfgang has a son named Wolfgang Junior (or "W.J." for short).
- Edmund has a son named Edgar.
- Ludwig has a son named Johann.
- Arnie (Arnold's creepy cousin) and Lila (Arnold's former crush) have a son named Arnie Junior (or "A.J." for short).
- Olga (Helga's older sister) has a pair of boy-girl fraternal twins named Logan Robert Sherman and Lisa Miriam Sherman.
- Summer (that mean girl Arnold had a crush on in "Summer Love") ends up having two sons named Sky and Sonny and two daughters named June and Britney.
- Rex Smythe-Higgins III ends up having a son named Rex Smythe-Higgins IV and a daughter named Roxanne.
- Burt and Connie have two daughters named Bonnie and Lonnie while Tommy and Maria have two daughters named Maritza and Maya.
- Ernie and Lola (that tall fashion model from "Ernie and Lola") end up having nine daughters (including one pair of twins and one set of triplets) named (from oldest to youngest) Fiona (19), Audrey (18), Monica (17), Lily (16), Ava and Lacey (15), and Rosie, Heather and Millie (13).
- Suzie and her second husband, Franklin Jones, end up having a son named Morgan, who's the same age as Audrey Potts.
- Mr. Hyunh's daughter, Mai, and her husband, Thomas, end up having a daughter named Kim and a son named Quoc—and in "Reunion at the Boarding House," Mai's dad claims that she and Thomas are considering having another child.
- As adults, Andy and Kiara end up having a son named Phillip ("Phil" for short) while Megan ends up having a pair of boy-girl fraternal twins named Miles (after her and Andy's paternal grandfather) and Trudi (possibly short for "Gertrude," but still named in honor of Arnold's paternal grandmother).
