** They figure out how to do it: if they heat up the corinian and take the flying ship high enough, it will explode without destroying the city. While she is not an alchemist herself, Rapunzel knows enough to come up with an idea, and from there, Varian quickly develops an efficient plan relying on his scientific knowledge. They work well together and they keep their wits about them even while clinging for their dear lives on the unstable flying ship loaded with explosives.

* Villainous example for Mirror!Eugene, who is the first to make the swap but lasts the longest before being outed because he cleverly swiped Rapunzel's diary early on to do his research and pull a very convincing Eugene. He has Rapunzel completely fooled, unlike the others who only [[OutOfCharacterAlert raise suspicions]], until he eventually [[ImposterForgotOneDetail calls Pascal a "chameleon" instead of a "frog"]] and then fails to replicate Eugene's smolder when she finally gets suspicious.

* During the play, when both Rapunzel and Cass are improvising each other's parts, Monty asks who the bad guy is. Rapunzel responds "[[NoAntagonist It's complicated]]".
