* The roster can be considered one: not only are there many series coming back fresh from the ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsZ'' trilogy (notably ''[[Manga/GetterRobo Getter Robo Armageddon]]'', ''LightNovel/FullMetalPanic'' and ''Anime/RebuildOfEvangelion''), but ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamZZ'' and ''Manga/MobileSuitCrossboneGundam'' make their return to the franchise, alongside ''Anime/TheBraveExpressMightGaine'' being the first ''Anime/BraveSeries'' that ''isn't'' ''Anime/GaoGaiGar'', [[Manga/ShinMazingerZero Mazinger ZERO]] showing up as a playable unit and '''''Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato2199''''' being featured as an unorthodox series, opening up the grounds for non-{{Mecha}} focused SpaceOpera titles to be considered for future installments similar to what ''Anime/TekkamanBlade'' did for PoweredArmor.
** What's noteworthy about ''Yamato'' is that the [[Anime/SpaceBattleshipYamato original 1974 series]] left a major impact in the ScienceFiction genre of {{Anime}} where everything after it influenced more complex, serious works, namely HumongousMecha shows like ''Anime/MobileSuitGundam'', ''Anime/SuperDimensionFortressMacross'', and ''Anime/NeonGenesisEvangelion''. Although the version that appears in ''V'' is the ''2199'' remake and not the original, the fact Creator/BandaiNamcoEntertainment gave developer Banpresto the go-ahead to finally include it in ''Super Robot Wars'' is a testament to its staying power and represents another turning point for the franchise.
* Once upon a time, there was a simple, blue mecha known as "The Huckebein". During [[VideoGame/SuperRobotWars4 the tail-end]] of the "[[FanNickname Classic Timeline]]", this unit was lauded for its designs by old-school [=SRW=] players, and is still considered a classic {{Mecha}} by present-day contemporaries. But alas, rumors arose regarding legalities [[SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute due to the Huckebein resembling]] a Franchise/{{Gundam}} too much (specifically, its head). Many were worried about its reputation due to Banpresto being integrated into Namco Bandai. Its lack of appearance in the {{Animated Adaptation}}s of ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration'', while being replaced by the "[[SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute EXBein]]", didn't assuage any fears fans had. And then in ''Second Original Generation'', all Huckebeins were written out and replaced by the [=EXBein=]. Many believed this was the final nail in the coffin for the poor Gundam look-a-like, figuring it would never be seen again...and then the first promotional trailer showcased the machine back in all it's full glory, alongside with the confirmation that it would be [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMjb9viadCA playable]], shattering those worries and fears into ''pieces''.
** And a few years later, what unit does the protagonist pilot in SRW 30, the big 30th anniversary game of the series? Why it's the Huckebein 30, featuring a completely new design.
* At the 2018 Playstation Awards, ''SRW V'' earned a [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hvMR6CNUq6k Gold Award]], certifying that it had shipped, with the intention of selling through, 500,000 units. That was the first time in ''over a decade'' an SRW title had certified Gold, and it seems all but guaranteed that it was due in very large part to the game's overseas release.

What makes this even more awesome is that the Gravity Anchors were damaged because of Nevanlinna's attack at the Yamato before Mori comes back to the bridge. If the Yamato fires the WaveMotionGun, the attack might blow up the Yamato as well which is bad because the Cosmo Reverse System would get damaged and that would null everything they've worked for. Cue '''''the entire cast holding the Yamato steady to absorb the blast, fully knowing that they might die from the recoil.'''''
