* Tails gets a great moment to shine in "Tails In Charge". After he inadvertently causes Sonic to get shot by a ray that turns him to stone, Tails spends the entirety of the episode defending the now helpless Sonic from Scratch and Grounder, culminating in him successfully baiting them to get the ray (getting shot by it whilst turned to stone undoes the effect) and curing Sonic's condition. All by himself. Not bad for a supposed four year old.His canon age is 10. The "only four and half years old" joke from "Slowwww Going" was likely based on the "only three and half years old" joke from various classic animated shorts.

** Tails gets a tiny but epic one in "Hedgehog of the Hound Table", where he manages to snatch the Chaos Emerald of Invincibility, and upon being accosted by Scratch and Grounder, promptly uses it to transform into a giant uber-muscular fox. * In "Sonic the Matchmaker," Robotnik declares he wants a wife and insists any woman would be proud to marry him. Scratch and Grounder do nothing but glare at Robotnik in what can only be called disgusted contempt. This is probably the only time the two of them ever willingly disagree with Robotnik, and what's more he actually concedes to them and decides to build a wife instead.

No meta example, see this query.

* "Sonically Ever After" appears to be the writers' way of an Adventures version of a GrandFinale... in that it's mostly a goofy comedy parodying fairy tales, but partway through the episode, the scope begins to widen conceptually until it seems as though Robotnik has actually managed to win over Sonic and more or less merge the realities of a fairy tale book an old lady was reading with the real Mobius, attaining godlike power. The solution ends up being to simply write 'The End' in the sky with a plane flown by Tails. It's a uniquely meta episode and an appropriate send off for a series known for its fourth wall breaking humor.
