I just defeated Hala and cleared Ilima's trial.
I also got a Pichu along the way. I named him "Lan", after the protagonist of the Mega Man Battle Network series.
I fought some Team Skull grunts for the first time.
Initially, I wasn't a big fan of Team Skull. I do not like Gangster-type styles, since they remind me of many bad experiences I had at school with such kids in the past. To explain, there are a lot of boys at my school who tend to speak loud, misbehave too much, and beat each other up in the hallway. In my math class last year, there was this one whose grades were very bad, so he was held back a year. He wouldn't stop talking in class, and it led to not much getting done.
Thankfully, he's a freshman in High School now. Not sure how he's behaving, but I hope it's much better.
But now, I really like Team Skull. They're hilarious! Their facial expressions are the best, and it's just so funny seeing them beaten. Even better is their conversation while trying to steal some Pokemon from a Berry Farmer. THE PUNS. DID CHUGGAACONROY WRITE THIS GAME?
I fought the Totem Raticate, and it was quite challenging. I got the Z-Crystal and learned how to do the Normal-type Z-move!
And then Lillie went missing. Again. It seems Nebby doesn't like it in the bag. So, I rescued Nebby, caught an Oricorio (Which I'm not planning on using.), and brought him to Lillie.
After that, I fought Hau again. It was quite easy, since all he had was a Pikachu and his Rowlet. At this point, my Litten evolved into Torracat, so it was even easier with her!
Then there was Hala. Hala was quite difficult for me, since I don't have any psychic or flying types at the moment.
Hala managed to knock out Tubbs, almost defeated Lan (He was left with 1 HP!), and it was Rockbell who saved the day in the end.
And I unlocked Poke-rides! AW YEAH, I'M RIDING A TAUROS, THIS IS AWESOME, WOOOOOOOOO!
I'm going to head to Akala island soon. I'm ready for whatever the next island brings!
