TSB Chapter 11: Last Call For The Prayer Warriors

Written By: Thomas
POV: Third Person

Draco arrives in "Hogswash," AKA Hogsmeade, and is still familiar with the place, so Sansa follows him around. He then visits the Hog's Head Inn, and orders a cup of wine.

The bartender- who turns out to be Hagrid, rather than Dumbledore's brother Aberforth- greets Draco. Draco's surprised to see Hagrid there, but Hagrid informs him that he's been out of a job since the fall of Hogwarts, but preaches on Sundays and in his free time, and also does youth group on Fridays.

Draco, having had enough of catching up for the moment, gets down to business, saying that Hogwarts has returned despite them sowing the fields with salt (which should deter crops, not all life forms). Hagrid sadly confirms this, and says that Dumbledore has escaped from prison and raped some kids. Draco asks him for some more details, but Hagrid says that's all that he can say at the moment...

...because it turns out that he's not there to help them, as he hits a red button to trigger an alarm, and admits that he converted to Satanism while he's away (a rare case of a Faceā€“Heel Turn in this fic), and considers everything he said good news. Generally, buttons like the one he described are silent alarms, meant to bring in the police without the criminals suspecting anything, and in that case, it might have been in Hagrid's best interests to keep the Prayer Warriors talking until they arrived.

Of course, the police arrive immediately, armed with guns and swords, and accompanied by Draco's Arch-Enemy, someone he thought he (or rather, God) had killed- Harry Potter himself.

Next Installment: Carter gets kidnapped, but not before meeting an ally.
