Manga Chapter 16: Reunion

As the chapter starts, Yukari and Miho, along with the rest of the team, survey the East Fuji tankery grounds, amazed that they're fighting a battle there.

The scene cuts to the tank hangar, and the rest of Anglerfish Team talks about how amazed they are to reach a point, and how they owe it to Miho.

Oarai's former opponents appear, in a somewhat condensed version of the scene in which they greeted her and wished her luck. This is so far Kay's only appearance. Yukari points out that the leaders of Oarai's rivals relate to Miho as an individual, rather than a daughter of the Nishizumi school, which is a nice thing to point out.

The pre-battle greetings follow, with everyone in their tankery uniforms, rather than the school uniforms that they wore in the anime. Erika briefly reiterates her desire to defeat Miho, saying that she'll crush her, without saying that it's been a while or making any insinuations about Oarai winning because of luck. Then it's followed by Miho's meeting with Koume. The dialogue is mostly the same, but Miho points out that instead of Black Forest's vice captain, she's Oarai's commander.

Oddly enough, Miho and Koume are a bit more formal with each other in the scene. While in the anime, Koume called Miho "Miho-san", a polite yet friendly address similar to what Hana calls Miho, and what Miho calls her other friends, she instead uses her title. Miho also calls Koume "Akeboshi-san", while she didn't address her by name in the anime (perhaps it would have sounded odd to expect us to know who she's talking about, even if the use of her name implies Miho does know). I didn't entirely like this change, since it removed the implication that Miho had friends at Black Forest.

The chapter ends here, and it's yet another transition chapter that covers little ground. I'll cover the manga's version of the finals once I'm finished with the anime.

Next Installment: The anime resumes after a long hiatus.

But before I do Episode 11, there will be a holiday special.

The BD version of Gu P episode 10 fixed the pre-battle greeting with their Tankery Uniforms instead of the school uniforms.

Jamibu,

That's an interesting fix. It seems as though it was what they intended to happen in the first place, since I do have to wonder why the girls would have to change into their tankery uniforms on-site.

In light of that, do Darjeeling, Orange Pekoe and Assam still wear their school uniforms in their post-match meeting with Miho in Episode 4 of the BD version?

Yes, they still wear their school uniforms when they meet up with Miho and co. in the BD version.
