And so... the ninth day begins...

I said that I would fight Caius and I did just that. I went towards the shrine of Etro in the Wildlands and made my way to the top, where Caius awaited. This time it was much easier. I managed to defeat him, but even so Lightning couldn't save his soul. He even threw his sword in the air and let it fall on himself to show how he would just be reborn again from the Chaos. Yeul's work.

Lightning and Caius argued. Lightning wanted to save Caius so that it would please Yeul and stop the Chaos, but Caius didn't want this, as the wishes of the Yeuls are contradictory. One wants him to be saved and another wants him to stay with her in the Chaos. So many Yeuls and conflicting desires. Caius wishes to stay and not be saved, as it would be best for them to face oblivion rather than taint the new world. Lumina appears and discusses with Lightning, but Lightning says that she cannot save someone who doesn't want to be saved.

While exiting the temple, one of the Yeuls suddenly appears in front of Lightning. She says that it was her that was calling out for help, like when Lightning first arrived in the Wildlands, and that many people had listened to her cries. Every person that listened to Yeul pieced together a part of her story, and it became a legend. Through this legend, the people found out about the Angel of Valhalla, the white chocobo, and knew that it was important in getting inside the shrine of Etro, but only the chosen one would be able to do it.

As Yeul and Lightning talked, the Angel of Valhalla appeared before them. Yeul finally revealed its true identity: Odin, Lightning's Eidolon and friend from the previous games. Odin's spirit appeared alongside the Angel of Valhalla, and Yeul explained that he was reborn, and this is why Lightning felt that she knew it from somewhere. I never even imagined it was Odin. Didn't even think about that possibility. After all that, Yeul disappears and another main quest ends. I guess I have really finished all of the main quests now.

In front of me, on the floor, I found MOTHERFUCKING CAIUS' SWORD. Everyone shall be owned from now on. I also renamed the Angel of Valhalla to "Odin", because now that I know its true identity, it would be weird to leave it "Cloud".

Pretty much all I have to do now is finish the very few sidequests that are left. The Chronostasis spamming worked so well that I think there is very little to do now, but I still have a lot of time. I could try doing that crazy sidequest in which you have to make every single creature extinct, but I won't put much effort in it, since I plan to replay this in the future. New game+ and all that, you know.

Also, I got another enemy extinct. Hooray!

After walking around for a while looking for quests, I took the train to the Wildlands again, and I witnessed some guys talking about something happening over at Canopus Farms, where Dr. Gysahl lives. I made Lightning ride Odin towards it, and I could see a bubble of Chaos surrounding the place from a distance. Ever since I started this day, enemies have been spawning more often, and in more numbers. At this point, the enemies that were spawning were too numerous.

I arrived at Canopus Farms, and discovered that the source of the Chaos was a Chocobo Eater. When I entered Canopus Farms, the "Crazy Chocobo" theme from Final Fantasy XIII-2 started playing. I fucking love that song. It's so silly and awesome at the same time. A lot of fans dislike it, but they are just faggots who can't appreciate a good joke.

I then entered battle with the Chocobo Eater and HOLY FUCKING SHIT IT WAS THE HARDEST BATTLE I HAD IN THE GAME. Since we were inside the Chaos, the enemy was stronger than its normal counterpart. I had to heavily rely on Odin to cure me as I tried to take the creature's health bit by bit. It was also the longest fight I had in the game.

The rest of the day I pretty much had to look around for any sidequests that I missed and completed a few and then the day ended.

When Lightning was teleported to the Ark, she saw Serah and talked to her. The more this Serah talked, the more "off" she felt. Like she was a fake, just like Lumina had said. Lightning then really started to doubt if Bhunivelze was going to fulfill his end of the bargain.

Lightning then offered the Eradia she had gathered, and finally all of the days were unlocked. Damn, I'm not sure if I'm going to bother with the few sidequests I have now. Perhaps I'll just sleep until it's the end of the world, or maybe I'll just walk around killing monsters and finishing some stuff.

We'll see.
