Chapter 1- A lesson learned. Is a lesson earned!

Our game starts on a steamboat called the Morning Star as it pulls into the docks. As the camera pan in to see the passengers waiting to leave the boat. Slowly as the passengers leave the camera zooms in on one face. A man wearing a black cowboy hat with eagle feather stuck in it. Slowly the camera pans to other things that quickly loses my interest as conversations fills the background. The man from boat walks off while in company of two other men in bowler hats. The two men lead our man from the boat to the Blackwater Train Station. The man gets on alone and I'm still a little bored as conversation about religion, the state of where I going, and the talk of savages filled the air. The train pulls up to a town called Armadillo. Now I can control the character. I've been given the objective to head to the saloon.

Surprising before I start heading over I unlock avatar awards. Slowing me down as I learn the control. At the saloon I meet Jake and finally learn the name of my character John Marston. Apparently we're heading out to somewhere. As we ride to our destination I found out(again) that Jake was hired by the Marshall by the fellows in Blackwater (Probably our bowler hat guys). Jake lead me to a place call Fort Mercer. Jake immediately bails on us saying "That a gang has taken over the fort," and that he was "only paid to go this far." I now had to approach a fort filled with bandits by myself....I think this will go swimmingly. So John knows someone in the fort. I think things are looking up. I wonder what this Bill guys is like? Why am I asking these question if I played the game? Probably because I haven't played this since 2010. Now John and Bill are talking with Bill starting off with he don't want to kill John....I think things are going less swimmingly. As the conversation slowly goes south we learned our first lesson.

Lesson#1-Getting shot hurts.

I honestly don't think this needs to be said, but when the bullets start flying and someone has to do the dying. So be like Han and shoot first.

Lesson#2-If there are three guys with their sights on you. Don't reach for your gun because usually there is one that has an itching trigger finger.

Never reach for your gun if it three against one unless you have the advantage.

As John is left to bleed out in the sunset. A man and women pull up to pick up John's body and place him on the back of their cart and to my surprise it the lady from the train that we only see once. And to our unsurprise John is alive (what kind of game shoots the main character in the beginning and switch to a new one? And I'm really asking that) as the lady from the train step in the room. We find out her name is Bonnie MacFarlane and she said that what we did was stupid...which I agree. It was fifteen dollars to save John's life. Now we have to work it off our debt to her. Time to do some chores Old West Style! Bonnie lead John throughout the town on horseback. I sadly learn another lesson while doing this.

Lesson#3-When riding your horse and you have to focus on one thing don't do it for long or you'll end up off the road.

I really didn't mean to end up in the barn....it just happen....god do I suck at riding virtual horses.

As we finish our tour, John ends up so tired that he slept into night. Bonnie wakes John up to go looking anything that is trouble for the ranch. Bonnie hands John my favorite type of weapon in the game a rifle. We mount up on to our horse and the mission begins. The first thing I test my rifle on is some rabbits. Followed by coyotes and all before bed. The night ends with me learning how to save. Which bring an end to our first three lessons. I am going to save and continue this later. See you in the next part of Kiddo's Western Adventure!
