Jessie Bugs Up, Ash Fangs In, and Dawn Pigs Out (and other Pokéteam puns)

day 1506-7 jessie catches a yanma, which evolves into yanmega {dp80}

3 things to note about this, Ash's butterfree gets a mention which is always nice, considering Pidgeot gets shit all nothing. I don't get why the twerps are so incensed this time around, for once TR did catch a Pokémon legally, it just happened to be the same one a random character of the day was trying for too. Finders-Keepers dude, besides he got another one. On top of that, since Giovanni gave back the yanma to TR does that count as a trade and if so acting like game logic was reality to the anime then, does she gain experience faster?

Dp81 Paul shows up, starts a battle with Ash after they get into a pissing contest on how Ash entering the Wallace Cup is the same as Paul entering the tag tournament, which is all together so much bullshit. The match gets called off midway through due to Chimchar's ability finally activating and him going psychotic with rage. What's that Paul, no recognition or remorse over the fact that you broke a sentient being?

Just go away all right, I don't like you. You've climbed up there right alongside the likes of Nina Einstein from Code Geass, Near from Death Note, Dolores Umbridge from Harry Potter, and Joffrey Lannister from A Song of Ice and Fire not for being villainous or anything mind you, but just being wholly unpleasant and unappealing as a character. What makes it worse, is that all those stories have a cynical bent, you expect going in that not everything will be all sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows. Pokémon, the anime at least is idealistic and wholesome by contrast, and it just sweeps your crimes and defects under the rug.

day 1514 they get to pastoria (ash is now 15) {dp82} day 1515 ash gets 4th badge {dp83}

The episode difference might be around the same, but the time gap is sure a lot smaller. Dp82 is an episode all about croagunk, that's great! As for the gym battle itself... it's a water-type gym and I don't see any feisty red heads around, what do you think happened?

Curb stomp to the floor that's what. I feel bad for Sir Crocodile from One Piece though, it's a long fall from a dreaded pirate captain with magical sand powers to a Mexican wrestler with an angry sea dragon that can shoot lasers that still gets pwnd by a mouse (hax powers notwithstanding).

day 1517 dawn catches swinub {dp84} day 1520 gary shows up again and ash's gligar evolves into gliscor {dp85}

Welp, Swinub is cute for now anyway and is kind of like Dawn's version of May's munchlax with the way he devours everything in front of him. 85, the SYMETRY between Ash and Paul's 2 Pokémon is finally complete and it's all thanks to Gary Oak as he brings Ash the razor fang to give to gligar, we should all be so grateful.

day 1529-31 ash helps a shaymin get back home and and wakes up a regigias who stops a huge glacier and saves giratina from being murdered or something {m11}

This movie sure does justice to the reverse world and how off putting it can be in-game. It's a marked improvement on all accounts to #10 as most second entries to a trilogy are/should be. Man, Ash sure is lucky that gravity decided to go all screwy in just the right way at just the right time or else we'd have another mortality shenanigan to deal with... I'll probably add it anyway. Also, Dawn starts to get sucked into the reverse world and Ash runs after her. Brock however, just kind of stands there at first. Sure, you could say it's because Ash really cares about her, but I find it funnier to think that Brock just decided to be a dick for no reason.

Canon wise, he does know what shaymin are and the whole gracedia flower deal after this. As for the apparent shock when Brandon comes in later in the show and talks about regigigas... Ash was kinda distracted as he was saving Giratina, that's all I got. Time-line wise, only time they'll be on the correct side of the map for awhile before a brief return to hearthome, some plot happens, and we get bogged down by filler.

Speaking of that, in 86 when they arrive in hearthome again, Fantina's still not at the gym so they all decide to be fashion models for a day (yes really) before moving on. 87 is a dumb filler episode about Psyduck, and since they're not Misty's it's no good. 88-91 is and I kid you not the adventures of Ash and the rest as they go to summer camp. Why is that a thing that exists? Though I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how a dusknoir saves them from being dragged to hell, no really. In fact this might be the very same dusknoir that Conway has later... offscreen capture again. Still not a good arc at all.

Thankfully after that travesty 92 is an absolute godsend. It's a Team Rocket episode, it feels like forever since we had one of those. Not only that, they say the original motto and “Double Trouble” is faintly part of the background music, and I can't— it's just too good, so I'll stop the gushing right here.

93, Oh hi Fantina! Are you going back to the gym now? What, you decided to become a coordinator and leave your post without telling the League, so they couldn't find you a temporary replacement? No, it's fine... I guess we'll just waste more time until you get bored!!! 94, pachirisu suffers from that electricity sickness that Pikachu has every once in a while and Brock fixes everything. Oh and TR find a zapdos, too bad they didn't catch it. Once all that's done, they finally get to celestic town for Dawn's next contest.

Next time... In Which Cyrus is Evil, Barry is Hyper and Byron is Himself. How Torterra makes his trainer look that much more terrible by comparison, and how Mamoswine is really Charizard 2.0 Eps 95-113

You were remiss in that the Camp featured the girl that, at least for my part, would be named: "Most Likely to Gain a Post in Ash's Harem Without Having Traveled With Him".

Yeah, as an avid fanfic reader I can vouch that Donald is VERY right. Angie is practically in every harem-eaque fic... It's kinda irritating by now.

Sir or madam, do you write fanfictions or anything else? I would enjoy reading them. You are quite funny. xD
