When we last left off our heroes, the rogue fucked up and now the Wizard is dead. Now I gotta make a new one... No. Fuck it. Let them die without a wizard. Oh, and an encounter. Let’s get it over with. Oh, wait, there’s a trap. Let’s see if they notice.

  • Hugh: 19
  • Darerris: 7
  • Hollyhana: 2

Huh. It’s the fighter that actually notices the rugged... rug... Huh. So he pretty much tells the others as the Rat and the Goblin notice them. Time for a fight.

  • Hugh: 4


Hana decides to begin her turn by giving Darerris a Healing Word, replenishing about 8 damage worth. Darerris then tries to get the rat to attack them, since it’s in the way of the trap. Since the rat has an intelligence of 2, I guess I’ll do an easy DC check.

That rat aint’ budging one piece. Darerris has a +2 to her charisma, so let’s see if she pulls it off...

Nice! The Rat is pissed off by Darerris’ taunt that it runs after her... Only to fall for the trap!

[Attack Roll: Trap (+4) Vs. Reflex (11). Roll... 20] [Damage: 2]

And the rat falls! People are screaming PIT! PIT! PIT! The second rat... Doesn’t move in yet. But the Goblin manages to attack with its arrow!

[Attack Roll: Shortbow (+8) Vs. AC (18). Roll... 23] [Damage: 4]

And hits the healer where it hurts. Hugh decides to rush over and attack the archer.

Nice! Though we’re not sure on if we’re to focus on the rat now. Let’s see if he climbs up.

[Climb DC: 12. Roll... 18]

Huh... The rat can climb up. Well, we’re gonna have to keep him in that pit until we can deal with them. They have filth fever, and that can mess up the characters if they’re bit, so we want to avoid that as much as possible. The Goblins then move in.

And one of them enters the room to attack.

[Attack Roll: Short Sword (+8) Vs. AC (16). Roll... 20] [Damage: 4]

And Darerris gets hurt. Now, I’m gonna try and get rid of the rat, since I’m gonna handle the goblin with Darerris. So let’s move Hugh over to push the rat in.

[Attack Roll: Sword (+8 and +1) Vs. AC (13) Roll... 29. Natural 20.] [Damage: 7]

So I decide for the natural 20’s effect to push the rat back into the pit, giving it six damage upon landing for a grand total of 13 damage. Wonder if I should have used his encounter power... Nah, save it for next time. Right, Hollyhana’s turn to fight.

[Attack Roll: Mace (+6) vs. AC (13) Roll... 10]

Miss. Let’s see if Darerris will kill the goblin.

[Attack Roll: Dagger (+6) vs. AC (13) Roll... 20]

And that time, she killed the goblin. Now to see if the rat will get out of his pit.

[Climb DC: 12. Roll... 9]

It’s stuck in the pit. Good. Keep it that way. What are the goblins doing? Raiding, why not. The next one fights Darerris.

[Attack Roll: Short Sword (+8) Vs. AC (16). Roll... 25] [Damage: 20]

And wounds her. Well, now Hugh gets into the fray and fights the Goblin.

And kills him. Now, let’s have Hollyhana raid the area. And let’s give her a power since she’s fighting Gobby (yeah, he’s in this brawl... I forgot to roll for him.)

[Attack Roll: (Brand of the Sun) Mace (+6) Vs. AC (16) Roll... 21] [Damage:5]

Unfortunatly, Hollyhana is blocking the doorway, so she’s gonna have to play whack a mole for a while. Meanwhile, Gobby gives her a fight of his own.

[Attack Roll: Short Sword (+6) vs. AC (18) Roll... 15]

Ooooh, fail. Anyways, Darerris tries to prep the trap by covering it with the rug.

[Thievery DC: 12. Roll... 9]

And she botches it. Then the Rat tries to climb out again.

[Climb DC: 12. Roll... 18]

Oh shit. It climbed out... and is going to attack Darerris!

[Attack Roll: Bite (+6) vs. AC (16) Roll... 14]

Oh thank God he missed. Hugh, push him back! And this time take him down! {uses the Power Strike}

[Attack Roll: Sword (+8 and +1) Vs. AC (13) Roll... 23] [Damage: 27]

OOOOH! OVERKILL! YEAH! We got the fucker! Hollyhana’s fight again. And this time, we’re just gonna whack him over the head.

[Attack Roll: Mace (+6) Vs. AC (16) Roll... 25] [Damage:5]

... You know, this is just gonna like that Itchy and Scratchy intro. So I’m gonna skip their fights, and see who beats each other to shit.

  • (First strike goes to Hollyhana. Damage: 10)
  • (Second strike goes to Gobby. Damage: 11)
  • (Third strike is a tie)

And both are bloodied by the battle. Gobby is gonna retreat on his next turn. Hollyhana and Hugh decide to go after the next Rat.

[Dual Attack Roll: Dagger (+6) and Sword (+8 and +1) vs. AC (13) Roll... 20 and 28.] (Damage: 11)

Hollyhana tries once and for all to kill Gobby.

[Attack Roll: Mace (+6) Vs. AC (16) Roll... 16] [Damage:5]

And wounds him further. But Gobby decides he had enough. With Gobby out of the way, the Goblin tries to attack Hollyhana.

[Attack Roll: Short Sword (+8) Vs. AC (15). Roll... 21] [Damage: 4]

And hurts her some more. She’s in the single digits now... It’s gonna take a miracle or some magic to save her now! {suddenly, a flashback to a previous liveblog}

Sayaka: They exist! Both magic... and miracles... exist!

Suddenly, a Magic Missile!? It takes out the Goblin?! WHAT!? Oh fuck! AGENT SMITH IS ALIVE!!! WHAT!? Oh, he’s gonna explain... Turns out that the Dragon isn’t as pissed off with him as we think it to be. He lets him go, on the condition that as soon as Malareth is dead, they leave and never return. Logical. And so with the last opponent, everyone and their mother is out to get the rat. And the rat will strike back.

SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! This ain’t good doc! Quick! Kill that thing quickly! Now!

[All Out Attack: Mace (+6), Dagger (+6), Quarterstaff (+1), and Sword (+9) vs. AC (13) Roll... 9, 8, 13, and 21] [Damage: 15]

Good! It’s bloodied! Give it one more after the rat attacks!

[Attack Roll: Bite (+6) vs. AC (18) Roll... 7]

GOOD! ONE MORE HIIIIIIIT!

[All Out Attack: Mace (+6), Dagger (+6), Quarterstaff (+1), and Sword (+9) vs. AC (13) Roll... 21, 11, 7, and 14] [Damage: 16]

AND HE’S DEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAD! VICTORY! {sigh} Shit. We need an extended rest. After Hollyhana tries to heal Darerris.

[Saving Throw: 21]

And thus she doesn’t get filth fever. And so before they take a long lengthy rest, they notice the statue, where they notice a mysterious message dealing with a person named Morgana. Who is she? Well... We’ll probably never know. Tune in next time when we play chess. I’m not shitting you.
