Leaving the once again sleeping Professor Oak, Scarlet sets off for route one, along the way running into a small Rattata. Deciding to put her pokeballs to work, Blasty is ordered to attack, and then a pokeball is thrown at him.
-Scarlet caught a Rattata!-
She's promptly nicknamed Zurka, and is taken back to Pallet for healing. No point in Scarlet wasting her potions!
Scarlet gets back to her house, and asks for some healing for her Mom.
Mom: Oh, hi honey. How did you like your birthday present? I have lots more, so have some free healing!
-Scarlets pokemon were fully healed!-
Having properly recuperated, Scarlet heads back out to route one, where Zurka gets some much needed trading. She gets to level 7, and learns quick attack, giving her a reliable way to attack. Our young heroine also catches a Pidgey, and it's nicknamed Baldos. She sidelines him into the PC for now; She's more of a Spearow type of girl, then heads west of Viridian.
She follows along a small path, and finds a potion in a bush. How nice. She continues west, and ends up in a patch of grass, where she is quickly set upon by a Mankey and Spearow. The Mankey, who is named Commonkey, is boxed, but Scarlets new Spearow, Breakwing, is trained a bit, before we head further west. However, before too long...
BATMAN: Hey! Scarlet! I caught a Pidgey! Now I can definetly beat you!
