Nynaeve is shanghaied into being part of Thom’s knife-throwing act, and has also gotten into a fight with Cerandin insisting she tell more about the Seanchan.Plus, Aludra has given her several boxes of matches for another Chekhov's Gun. Elayne has been studying the a’dam, and thinks she might be able to make her own ter’angreal. Juilin spots Galad across the river, so Nynaeve now insists they get away on the first boat they can catch.
A lot is crammed in here, since we haven’t seen this subplot in a while, and all very fun. Elayne is particularly interesting, but mostly this whole thing seems to be acting as the comic relief of the book, which could become annoying if it goes on too far, but so far it’s been subtle enough that I don’t mind.
