Chapter 26: Sallie Daera
Siuan reaches the village where the renegade Aes Sedai have set up, as Logain finally starts feeling the effects of his gentling. Sheriam and some other don’t recognize Siuan and Leane, leading to a Crowning Moment Of Funny recounting all the trouble they got into as novices. Also there is Faolain, who didn’t stay at the Tower for some reason, and Edesina, who is fated to become a damane but will escape.
It’s nice to catch up with all these people, and see real progress on this story when I was sure they wouldn’t reach this place until the end of the book. And Jordan does a much better job differentiating the new people here than the ones still working for Elaida, so the scenes with them should be much more interesting.
