Chapter 50: To Teach, To Learn
The Salidar Aes Sedai are skeptical of Nynaeve and Elayne’s story, and it doesn’t help that their cuendillar mysteriously broke somewhere during the voyage, leaving only three intact. Nicola and Areina are selected to be tested for the Power, like every woman in the area. Siuan asks Nynaeve to teach her how to use the dream ring, while Elayne and Min catch up on each other’s stories.
It’s rather bizarre how much space was wasted last chapter, only to completely skip over these two groups meeting again. Despite that hiccup, the pace improves tremendously here, with plenty of good material for the next book. And Elayne and Min getting everything about Rand in the open and being fine with it is a huge relief.
