Nynaeve and Elayne have been waiting for a ship for three days, and increasingly getting on each other’s nerves. Thom and Juilin are injured when Masema’s men cause a riot in the town, but just then Uno arrives with word of a ship. Then Galad arrives, revealing he’s started a war over the ship, causing the riot. Nynaeve shuts down Luca’s marriage proposal to get her to stay, while Elayne tries to get Cerandin to come with them, but she refuses to believe her true identity in a Crowning Moment Of Funny.
The Galad and Masema stuff comes out of nowhere, but works perfectly as Nynaeve is faced with the consequences of her trying to play both sides. Then this becomes pure hilarity as they try to leave. This storyline’s climax may just wash the taste of the last one out.
