Chapter 35: Ripped Away
Moghedien’s attack turns out to have pushed Birgitte into the real world, making her mortal. Thom and Juilin get her into the wagon, and Nynaeve goes into a Heroic BSoD as she wonders if this means she’s cut off from her resurrections. Elayne Bonds Birgitte as her Warder as the only way to save her life, though they’ll have to keep it a secret.
I love this development, as it really adds something new and fresh to a subplot that’s been spinning its wheels for a while. Hopefully we’ll get to see a lot of Birgitte trying to adjust to being alive again, as I always like that kind of thing.
