Chapter 16: An Unexpected Offer
A few days after the last chapter, Nynaeve and Elayne run into Galad, who has joined the Whitecloaks. Not knowing what he’ll do with them, Elayne decides to leave right away, but their only option for sneaking out of town is to meet back up with Luca’s circus and go to Ghealdan. While they prepare, Elayne fills Nynaeve in about her and Thom’s past.
So we now have one of our heroes thinking he’s doing the right thing, and blind to what a bad crowd he’s fallen in with. The right amount of this works fine, but too much and I lose all interest in this kind of person finding out the truth and just want them to pay like the rest of their comrades. We’ll see which way this goes.

For me, Galad's plot throughout the books was... unexpected. In part.
