Go To

Go back into the castle, to the room where Marna got paradoxed away. She'll unparadox her way bak to reality in front of your eyes. She says she was in a dark, cold place while written out of history. Hmmm... when time travel makes you disappear, you're still aware, but simply sent to a dark realm. Oh well, I'm sure that won't be important in this or any other game.

A spot of monster fighting, and Marna learns Aura, another 1 MP tech which heals one ally. It also unlocks Aura Whirl, which costs 1 MP from Marna and 2 MP from Tempo to heal all allies.

It might be a good idea to buy some things from the market in town. Then, we make it back to Truce Canyon, where the time hole dropped us off. Tusca reveals that she has a Gate Key, a device to safely travel through these "Gates" in time. And so, they safely get to their time period. Tusca leaves the party while Tempo escorts Marna home. It's a shame that once he arrives there he gets arrested for suspected princess kidnapping. Sucks, that.

Thus starts the trial scene, where the Chancellor of 1000 A.D. tries to prove your guilt. The defendant picks some people on the scene to vouch for your innocence and good character. A girl says that Tempo returned her cat to her. Then, the jury votes on your guilt or innocence. It turns out there were still some things that I should have done to tilt the court in my favor. Still, it comes out 2-5 in favor of "not guilty".

This matters not in the long term, as Tempo still gets three days imprisonment for aiding the princess escape the castle. Even as Marna complains about the unfairness, there is nothing you can do to stop this. While in prison, the Chancellor pretends that Tempo is to be executed in three days, giving the lame excuse of a paperwork delay as to why no one else heard of it.

In your cell, there is a save point and a cup that heals your HP, MP, and status. There is also a bag of ethers, the amount depending on how well the trial scene went. Touch the cell gate a couple time to get the guards' attention. One punches you, but press A when he's facing away to knock him out. It's a good thing they didn't think to take your equipmen when they locked you up. Defeat the other guard in a single stroke and now begins the stealth section.

Go right, far right, past over the bridge, to a lone guard. Press A next to a guard and you'll knock him out. Get the items inside and go back past the bridge, beating up a guy on the way. Back to the staircase area, you face two guys wielding shields. Behind their shields, they are nearly invulnerable. Without them, they take double damage. After that, go right, past another bridge and some enemies.

Here, you wait for the guards to turn around and press A to whack them on the head to knock them out ... or you could just get into fights with them. That way might actually be easier. In one room, free a guy from the guillotine and he'll tell you he runs a shop in Truce. Hopefully, he wasn't a violent criminal that we just helped escape. Hey, always a possibility.

Exit, then go up and left, past yet another bridge. Rummage throgh some rooms, fight guards, the usual. On the left, go through the hole to climb down to some treasure. On the right, go far enough and Tusca rejoins your party as part of your escae attempt. There's also a paper that says, "We have a robot. Attack its head, you idiot!" I might have paraphrased a bit.

A bit further, and we do indeed face a dragon robot. As the report said, you are to kill the head as soon as possible to prevent it from healing the other parts. The game wasted very little time for a Shoot the Medic First boss fight. Also, only physical attacks can hurt the head. Then, kill (?) the wheel to prevent the charged attack from occuring. Then, finish off the body for an easy win.

You go down the castle and into a crowd of guards until Marna appears on the scene to tell the guards to quit it. Her father, King Guardia XIII, also shows up so Marna can have a father-daughter spat about personal freedom and stuff. This inspires Marna enough to escape along with Tempo and Tusca.

You run to the right, away from the slowest guards imaginable, to an area with another Gate. You escape into it and are dropped off...

...to some greyish place. Tusca can tell the area is very technologically advanced. Specifically, she can tell by rubbing and looking at a dusty wall for half a second. Or maybe she was examining the weird door that produces the same spooky music as when you try to open a black chest. Well, better step outside to find out what kind of place this is.

I get the feeling you've played this before, or at the very least have seen spoilers for pretty much everything. :/

Oh, and giving the characters different names makes things really confusing. >_>
