Hello again, and welcome to this LP. Last time, Twilight was plummeting to her probable demise after accidentally falling down a hole after being cornered by guards. Lets see if we can manage to get her out of this mess.
Huh, it seems Twi survived the fall. (Of course she did, she's the main character! She can't die yet!) She has however collapsed and passed out. It looks like we are getting a flashback. Yay plot exposition!
So, Discord is the one who gave her the mind control crown and mech suit. Perhaps I can get another mech suit from him later if I ask nicely? I would really like a new one. It was fun! I suspect he would be too busy doing evil to help me out though. Oh well.
Ah, it looks like we have the lineup of villains in the game. I see Discord, Trixie, someone I don't Recognise and leading them all... Wait, Gilda? She's the Big Bad? She's the ruler of the empire at least it seems, and is after world domination.
OK, flashback over, and we cut to... Applebloom? And we get to name her? This surely means she is my next party member! Cutie Mark Crusaders RPG Characters, YAY! It looks like she wished get her Cutie Mark, so she goes on adventures to find out what her talent is.
It looks like the stallion who helped Twi wants AB to go and escort Twi to Canterlot Castle. Perhaps we will meet the princesses there?
"Bloom: You better not be talking about that unicorn freak of nature!!!" Wow, Applebloom, I never realised you were a racist.
Huh, it looks like the town wishes to ally with something called the republic, for protecting against the empire, so therefore they need to send Twi and Bloom to Canterlot Castle to try and convince the republic to help them. I'm not sre why then send Twi. I guess the town guesses that Twi would be upset over the whole mind control thing, and will be happy to screw over the empire any way possible. Not sure how she can help though. Magic perhaps?
OK, Applebloom uses her incredible powers of fading the screen to black to warp to twilights location. Somehow. Past all the guards. down a hole she should have no good indication Twi was down. OK then.
Ah, a guard has found us, and is sending an army of, wolfs and woolly mammoths... to attack us... Wait, how does this town seem to get random monsters as guard dogs? Do they breed them themselves, or capture them in the wild? It is a good plan though, no one cries over a monsters death. Bar Fluttershy.
Wait what? Two Scootaloos? Oh god, she talks using PokémonSpeak. Oh wow, I'm controlling an army of Scootaloos to save Twi from the Monsters. And they can dance to attack! This is literally the best thing ever! I should just end the game here. Nothing can beat this! Ok, it seems that the guard will send monsters at Twi, and I must use three groups of Scootaloos to stop them reaching her, and kill the guard. Ok then, lets do this! Scootaloo clone army, ATTACK!
That went surprisingly well, actually. So, with the guard defeated, AB says goodbye to the scootaclones (NOOOOO! I WANT THEM TO STAY WITH ME Q_Q) and carries Twi out of the caves. Twi wakes up, explains to AB that she has amnesia, and sets off to the front of the town, and wait, is that Fancypants by that house? Huh, it houses a Tutorial area, of sorts, as well as a HP and MP restoring bucket of water. I'll be here for a while I think. It seems like I can set the game to actually play turn based, instead of the system I'm on now. I'm going to save myself trouble, and do that now. It should make things simpler.
Ok, now I have a better idea what I am doing, lets go out into the world!

Where is Canterlot Castle?
OK, it looks like I will be wondering around for a while. With random battles interrupting me every few steps... Huh, it looks like AB can steal items off monsters.
OK. the castle wasn't has hard to find as I though, since it was on the only path to go.
YAY CHOCOBOS! Can I have a ride mister Guard? No? Aww... I love chocobos... They have the best theme.
Thank you modder for not changing them into something else! I Declare I will ride A chocobo before this game ends!
Yep, the ruler of the castle is Celestia. Wait, I get to name her? Does that mean I get her to be in my party? Sweet! Also, Applebloom knows her somehow.
Twi raises a good point. Tia is giving Twi alot of aid, considering she's just a random unicorn at this point. It's due to her magic power making her special, so Celestria want her to stay are train up her power it seems. (But surely Celestia can do magic too, considering she has a horn and all...)
Huh, the castle has shops. After looting them of the stuff in their chests, (Oh, RPG characters, the only people who can steal everything not nailed down, and still be called heroes) I buy a few tools. I'm hoping they are not one time use, but Applebloom seems to be able to use them as her equivalent of magic.
Wait, according to a random mare, Celestia is allied with the empire. But I though we were he to get help to stop the empire? It also seems that unicorns can still do magic, but it's just basic telekinesis, not magic like fire or cure like Twi can do right now.
"Random Mare: The Princesses wings are so pretty!" Really? They referenced that?
Huh, we also get to learn a little about Luna. It looks like she left Canterlot to pursue a life of discipline. Also, we get to name her. Another future party member!
Oh, Hi Cadence! Do you have anything important to say? No? Oh well.
Oh, no. Discord has arrived. Wait, I recognise that laugh... Is Discord Kefka? (the only character I actually know in the original game) Makes sense I guess.
And now I control Celestia? Yay! Not that I can do much other than talk to Discord.
Ah, discord is after Twi. Celestia says she's not here, but Discord doesn't buy it. Also, Celestia had the element of harmony? Interesting.
Applebloom escorts Twi to her room, and explains that Celestia is only pretending to support the empire, (though I suspect that is about to stop) and instead is supporting the New Luna Republic, which was created to fight the empire. Applebloom is Celestia's contact with the group. I guess Twi will be joining them soon.
Twi is confused about which side is the right side. I'll give you a hint, It's not the one that mind controls people.
Oh god, the castle is on fire! and yep, Discord is behind it. Discord advances on Celestia, still after Twi, so Celestia then jumps of the castle and lands on a waiting Chocobo to escape, but first pick up Applebloom and Twi on other chocobos.
Wait what?! the castle is Transforming! and sinking into the ground! Best escape plan ever! (Transformers, Castles in disguise!)
Discord is understandably upset, and sends soldiers after me. In mech suits. (Can I have one Discord? I'll give you Applebloom for one, she's a racist anyway!) And yep, they catch up. BATTLE TIME!
Wait, I know this is the first time you seen Twi use magic, but is mid battle really the best time to talk about it? Talking Is a Free Action I guess... (Also, Twi reads from a book when she casts a spell. Nice.)
And I beat the mech suits, and ride off, leaving Discord stopping angrily in an empty desert.
It seems my party is off to meet mayor mare now, the organiser of the New Luna Republic!
I think this would be a good time to end things for now. Hopefully in later sessions I can get more done, since it will probably be more dungeon delving, instead of plot exposition, but for now, this will do, since this instalment is long enough as it is! (besides, I'm hungry!)
