Go To

Hello again, and welcome to my LP. Last time, We chased a disguised Celestia to Canterlot Castle, got her in the party, and learn some more about Luna's and Celestia's past.

Now, Lets get the castle to set out to Coltlingen!

Just a short walk now over the overworld to get to the town, and we arrive in Coltlingen.

Another OK looking town. The house that Twi burnt out when she first went esper from is still burned out, but again, I guess supplies for repair are in short supply at the end of the world.

Hmm, someone mentioned someone had recently passed though here. Someone who uses the word 'Sugarcube' alot. Applejack!

Let's check out the buildings. In the Inn at a table... It's Rainbow Dash! She appears to be drinking.

Trixie tells RD to finish her drink and come with the party to defeat Discord.

RD says it's not her problem anymore. Trixie says "Are you just going to waste your life here?!" RD replies that she already has. She just wants to be left alone. Her dreams have failed, Her best friend is gone. (Who's that?) and worst of all, her wings are broken. (I presume she means her airship, not her actual wings.)

RD walks up to the bar. Trixie follows, and says that she must have mistaken her for Rainbow Dash, someone who would at least try not to be a loser. RD just says to leave her alone, and that she loves to be alone.

Trixie says "At least you are still alive! You get to try again. You get to dream again! How many ponies died that day? Can you even count that high?!"

RD doesn't say anything for a while, before saying "You're right... I'm still alive, and so are you!" She thanks Trixie, saying she guesses she needed to her that from her. She will give it one more chance, but she first needs something. Her wings may be gone, but there is another pair she can use!

OK, Dash has joined the party! We have an airship to get! The showed me where to go on the map, so lets go, after a bit more town exploration.

Ah, a mare in a basement is telling me that Bloom is likely searching the world over for a fabled treasure.

OK, to where the map showed me! Again, it's a short walk.

There's nothing here? Hmm... OK, Trixie asks if this is her tomb. Who's tomb? Did I miss something? Dash says it is, anyway, and opens a secret door. Let's enter.

It's called Firefly's tomb. I guess this is Dash's Friend then. I'm presuming I've missed something important, like a flashback. Ah well. When I've finished, I'm going to look at LP's of the original version and this version, to see the differences/what I've missed.

Ah well, Onward!

Yep, the enemies in her all all undead.

Wait what? Luna's HP is at zero, but she is still alive? Oh, this must be zombie. Luckily, the battle was finished before she could attack my party. I should probably get some Anti-zombie relics on.

... I have none... OK then, shopping time I think. I'm not willing to deal with zombie as it is so hard to cure. (I think only one item in the game can do it, and no spells can.)

Damn, there is nowhere to buy relics in Coltlingen... Well, on the map there is a place up north. Let's go there.

OK, I'm there. It's a... Cloudesseum?

OK, this seems to be a place where I can bet items to win stuff in fights. The fight is a one on one, and it auto battles.

What? Ultros is a receptionist here? Well, as long as he isn't attacking me anymore.

Hmm, I found someone who claims to be the last imperial trooper. She says when I find a place where the emperor hid a secret treasure, talk to the emperor twice. I should remember that.

Hmm, what in this room? Daring Do! she says that the chest in the room before me is the Ark Of The Covenant. It's so dangerous, it needs to be hidden away for another 1000 years. Don't open it.

You can't tell me what to do Daring Do! It's probably full of treasure you don't want me to have! Let's open her up!

...

OK... It contained something called a Czar Dragon. Perhaps she wasn't lying...

It uses Wallchange, like that Number 24 did back at the Magicteck research facility...

It hit everyone for 8000 damage for it's first attack. My party has just over 1000 HP each.

Note to self, don't unleash great evils in the quest for treasure.

Good thing I took the precaution of saving before I opened it. I'm not that stupid. ^_^

Anyway, let's try an arena fight. I'll bet a Red delicious to test it out. (This game's version of a potion I think). Dash can fight.

...

Well, I went up against Chupon. That guy from the last Ultros fight. He just Fus Ro Dah'ed me on the first turn before I did anything, ending the fight. Good job, Rainbow Dash...

Well, there is nothing else here. Might as well leave.

Right, I can either go to earlier towns using Canterlot Castle and a whole lot of walking, or just go for it...

Well, either way, I've got to go. A short part today, sadly, but better than nothing.

Until next time! ^_^

Who you face and what you get for winning depends on what you bet. Betting something cheap like a potion means you face Chupon and being blown away.

The whole Firefly backstory could have been explained earlier if you went back to the Blackjack after the Imperial Banquet. And this isn't the only time an optional side event becomes important later on.
