Go To

Hello again, and welcome to my LP. Last time, We explored Equestria in our airship, and got Scootaloo in the party. Now, we are tasked to going to the sealed gate, and convincing the esper's past it to help fight the empire. But first, I have a task to do. The comments have recommended that I do a lap of the continent, to get dances for Scootaloo. It seems she gains them by fighting in certain environments. The path I'm going to take is this:

"Start in Nieghse, go south through the cave. Go through the mountains to the old resistance hideout, up the river which will put you back by the start of Luna's scenario. Down through the forest, off the waterfall. Across the Veldt. Into the cave and into the water passage. Which brings you back to Neighse, or to a place where you can get a ship for Neighse. That will get you 6/8 dances." (Thanks, Th Al Edison)

After doing this, I make two more stops. One to Las pegasus, to get the town Dance, leaving only the snow Dance left, and to the Manehattan Auction house, since I have been told that there are two Magicite to get there, so I wish to get the one I didn't before, with my new funding from the monsters I killed.

OK, with the new Magicite in hand, It is off the the sealed gate, or at least as close as I can land to it.

I also replace Scootaloo with Luna, since I prefer her ability, giving me a party of Twi, Luna, Bloom, and Pinkie. (Then why do the whole trip in the first place? Well, I may still use her at a later point, and I like completion ^_^)

Wait, Where is the sealed gate?

...

I'll be right back...

OK, I think I've found it. On the empire continent, there is a large mountainous section, separated by a river. I can't land of mountains, so the only way to get there is to take a bridge across the river. One guarded by that Imperial camp I coundn't get through from the first time I landed on the continent. It's also to the east of Stalliongrad, which I remember Mayor Mare saying that the espers will attack from.

Huh, all the guards are gone. I wonder... Nope, the room full of chests is still locked. :(

Anyway, I guess I can get though this place now. Across the bridge, and into a cave.

The cave is called the cave to the sealed gate. I'm going the right way then. Good.

Yep, Random encounters. Wow, they are not easy... Liches. They spam high level fire attacks, and absorb most magic...

OK, Pinkie absorbs Fire attacks now. I'm not sure why. She doesn't do it all the time, either. I've only seen it recently.

Wow, everyone but Pinkie died to the first fight in here... Luckily, Liches only attack with fire.

OK... Take two.

OK, you know what? Luna is more or less useless in this cave. I'm replacing her with Scootaloo. Looks like I'm using her earlier than I though.

OK, I'm in odd room. It's full of lava, with bridges covering it. The thing is, the bridges keep periodically changing the location of the tiles on it. If I'm on a tile which then moves, I fall into the lava and get sent back to the start. I need to find a path through by standing on tiles that don't move, then run along the moving ones before they move and drop me in lava.

OK, through.

Right, there are three switches here and no way forward... Well, I might as well pull all of them. Nothing can go wrong, right?

Switch one... Opens a room with a save point and a tent.

Switch two... AH, Ninja attack! Oh wow, he has high damage and high HP! Not boss level HP though, I kill him without too much trouble. (Scootaloo has an impressively high attack power, by the way, She can happily do over 1500 damage in one simple fight command! Her dances are impressive too, and more useful than I first thought)

Huh, according to the ninja's last words, there is treasure hidden in the plaza, beneath the grand stairway. I should remember this.

Switch three... opens some stairs. Lets go!

Further on, ground switches? Err. I think I pressed them in the wrong order, or at the wrong time... I'm now cut off from a chest I could have got if I didn't stand on it...

Ah, this Ground switch opened a secret door, with Treasure inside! Wait, what? The Ultima Weapon?! That was far easier to get than I thought! It apparently does more damage when your HP is high. Bloom or Scootaloo can equip it... I'll think I'll go with Bloom, since Scoot really doesn't need it. I also apparently got some Magicite, but as an item, not an equip. I can use it to summon a random esper.

Hmm, more wall switches... These ones move the bridges over the lava. I guess I need to use these to align the bridges.

Wait, this path leads back to that chest I couldn't get earlier. Inside is a... Switch? No idea what it does...

OK, I can't seem to align the bridges...

OK, it seems that chest switch was actually bad... Pressing it again let me align the bridges right.

Ah, I'm at the sealed gate!

So, any idea how to open it guys?

Ah, it's Discord! The party tells Twi to start opening the gate, while they hold off Discord. It's boss fight time!

Hmm, Discord says that it was the emperors plan all along to let Twi fall into the Republic's hands, so she could eventually over the sealed gate. He'd been following us though this cave. Nevermind that though, let's kick his ass!

Wait, Twi opened the door already? I wanted to kill Discord though...

Err... everyone in the fight collapsed, us and Discord... Espers are flying out of the gate...

Heh, Discord got blown away.

Twi isn't fairing much better.

Huh, the gate closed? A rockslide blocked it, too.

You know, I don't think that went according to plan.

Well, back to the airship then. Luckily, the game let me skip most of the cave on the way back.

AJ comes to meet us in the imperial camp, asking what happened. My party explains that the espers just flew off.

It seems they flew off towards Stalliongrad though. It might still work out for us.

The party get on the airship, and fly to Stalliongrad. On the airship, Twi senses something coming closer. An esper? Yep, and it's attacking! Oh god, lots are attacking! Ingrates! We freed you from that gate! You didn't need to go though it if you didn't want to!

Oh no! Airship going down! Where is it going? It looks like it landed quite a distance from Stalliongrad...

OK, I have control of Twi. Is everyone else OK? My party is still with me at least. Yep, everyone is fine. We are grounded, but fine. Now, where are we? Ah, still on the Empire continent, but way to the west.

OK, lets get to the nearest town.

What is this? A hidden Chocobo stable in the woods? For 100GP, I can ride one? Sure, why not?

Yay, It plays the Chocobo song! In my head, the Chocobo actually plays that song as you ride it. ^_^

Hmm... I should probably see the nearby town first, then go to Stalliongrad, but I will then lose the Chocobo... Oh well...

Damn it, there is nothing new here!

Well... Off the Stalliongrad then...

<_<

>_>

... *Runs back to the Hidden Chocobo Stable* Yay, Chocobo! ^_^

OK, Chocobo time is over, let's enter Stalliongrad.

Am I even meant to go there? I can't think of anywhere else to go though, that is the only place of importance, and I can't leave the continent, so I guess so.

Oh wow, this place is messed up. Lots of fire and rubble. It seems that many people are alive though. They don't attack civilians I guess? I don't think the Republic needs to attack at all, just let the Espers do the work.

Wait, all the people are Republic Rebels and Neighshe guards. Hmm... I hope the innocents are OK...

All the rebels seem confused.

"Arvis:It was like this when we got here". It looks like the espers did do all the work.

Huh, the guardian isn't on. I can pass unheeded into the castle now.

Ah, some soldiers are still alive. Apparently, the emperor is expecting me. OK then?

Hmm, I'm about to enter the castle, and Finally meet the emperor. I think that will do as a stopping point.

Until next time. ^_^

Alright! This next section has a lot of both fighting and talking. Once the conversations kick into high gear, you'll want to pick the middle-road options for best results.
