Elayne, Gawyn, and Galad are waiting in Nynaeve’s room when she and Egwene get there, though with the latter two it’s really just to remind us they exist, as they’re soon kicked out without learning anything. Then Nynaeve reveals that she’s been planning on telling Elayne everything since they got the job, wanting another ally not even Siuan knows about. Now we’re getting into Alias territory. And she suspects that Siuan isn’t actually helping Mat, since Verin would never give a straight answer about that on the way here, so they plan to work together to do it themselves. But then another Aes Sedai walks in, which will have to serve as our cliffhanger.
Back to setup mode, though Elayne is a promising addition to the team, and the suspicion about Mat is something I hadn’t considered with how sympathetic Siuan has been so far. So I’ve got no idea how accurate it is. And with that cliffhanger, maybe we’ll be back to things happening in the next chapter.
