Siuan comes to the kitchen while the girls are working, and accuses Elayne of talking dirty so she can talk to Egwene and Nynaeve alone, except Egwene is stupid enough to not get what’s going on, and traps herself into sucking on soap too. A nice little reminder that these three are really amateurs at this. So Nynaeve alone gets to hear that Else was kicked out a week ago, and Sheriam found a Gray Man’s body in her bed. And Siuan knows about Elayne, and is happy to have plausible deniability regarding Morgase this time. She approves their plan, and tells them to leave right after they’re done today.
Siuan continues being built up as a Guile Hero, which our more relatable protagonists can never quite get the better of. And I’m perfectly fine with that, as I’m always down for a good puppetmaster character. So now everyone’s on the road, and maybe we’ll finally get back to what some of the others have been up to.
